Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Destroys Wini Nkinda Over Hypocrisy And ‘Lose’ Past

By Cyprian Nyakundi via FB

One contradiction about toxic-feminism is the drivers of the message. They’re one hypocritical lot.

For instance, yesterday we witnessed Wini Nkinda tormenting a fellow and compelling him to apologise on Twitter.

I don’t know what happens to bitches once they get over 35, but they start developing mother hen-like tendencies, where they think they can lecture anyone.

Many of these women have questionable pasts. Wini Nkinda for instance, is a pioneer at slutting. She used to appear in videos by talentless rapper Nonini and overrated Jua Cali.

She was one of the original video vixens in Kenya. I’m told in her heyday, she’s been pitiwad by all those ninjas from Calif and Buru. Mdinyo wa mseto.

Lakini ati now she has the nerve to enforce standards online, calling for “ethical” behaviour. Lord have mercy!

Had she gotten married and bore beautiful children, do you think she’d even have the time to police people on Twitter? No way.

These are the ladies who put their men on a ridiculous 90-day rule, as they observe secondary-virginity, despite a very loose past.

Again my brothers, say no to women over 27. Otherwise you’ll be getting such lectures mpaka ukonde.

Hon Mwaura Please Keep Off Goldalyn, Meanwhile There is nothing like the boy-child being under threat.

There is nothing like the boy-child being under threat.
By Gab Oguda
If girls are posting admirable results and getting assertive at the workplace, it means they have been nurtured well, and it is not at the expense of anyone.

An empowered girl is good for society, whichever society. The difference in gender roles among boys and girls is not supposed to make any of them lesser. A boy hunting wild game in the forest and a girl bending down the river to draw drinking water all are doing so because the people under their care need food for survival and water to hydrate their bodies. No one said the guy who brings meat home is superior to the lady who fetches water by the pond.

When you join Anthropology School, the first course unit on the board is always the subject of Early Man. Archeology teaches us, and there is evidence to back this up, that the only reason we can always brag to other animals that we are more advanced than them is because our ancestors discovered fire, and their ancestors did not.

The discovery of fire meant that humans could now stop hunting with sticks and stones and start blacksmithing lethal bows and arrows (it killed game faster, and spared us more time for other things). Fire meant that we could now stop eating raw food and start cooking it (our diet became diverse as a result and our dental formula stopped having more canines and could now reflect an omnivore’s lineup). Fire provided a source of warmth (we could now curb mortality from frost-bite), fire meant that we could now secure our homes from wild animals. Fire made man more brave, highly protected, and culturally superior.

These cultural advancements allowed for human geographic dispersal, cultural innovations, and changes to diet and behavior. Additionally, creating fire allowed the expansion of human activity to proceed into the dark and colder hours of the morning. The guys who discovered fire, and set humanity through this unprecedented technological advancement, are Homo Erectus, who, as your history already taught you, came from the area around Lake Turkana. The fossil of the ‘Turkana Boy’ (the earliest human known to the world) is inside the National Museums of Kenya for you people to go and marvel at.

Yet, if anyone of you needed a matchbox to go and light a barbecue grill with, you will probably look for it in the kitchen. If patriarchy placed the woman inside the kitchen and the man outside it, then why is the girl-child still inferior in our society yet she has in her powers the greatest technological innovation known to mankind?

Your answer lies in the mindset.

My father has a million children yet there is no day he treated his sons differently from his daughters. I have ventured in my village bushes to pick firewood when my sisters were not around, I even sold firewood in Akado Market, down there on the border of Asembo and Seme – yet picking firewood was supposed to be a woman’s job. In my mother’s house, I was sent to the posho mill more times than any of my sisters, yet grinding maize was supposed to be a woman’s job.

In my father’s homestead, the child who was trusted with greasing his bikes was a girl, my sisters knew how to balance a wheelbarrow on a steep slope better than all of us combined. They almost threatened to teach us how to use the ox-plough, until we went on hunger-strike pleading with them not to run us out of gender roles.

Being assertive is a survival trait adopted by humans to avoid extinction – if you read Charles Darwin and his evolutionary theories. If being assertive helps the boy-child to get into a corner office, surely it can help the girl-child too, and there shouldn’t be any harm with that.

There is nowhere in our syllabus that said Home-Science was exclusive for Girls and Physics for Boys. All of us went into secondary school with the same career choices at our disposal. We have as many boys who chose religious education as there are girls who picked physics and dropped music. If society places stigma on men who cook, then why are there as many male chefs in our hotels as are female bikers in our nature trails?

If you do not want to date a girl with a PhD, that is your individual burden and you shouldn’t lump it on other men. Some of us come from villages where the least-schooled girlchild has a Masters in Nuclear Science, and you haven’t heard us complain a single bit. Women will continue to roar, and not at the expense of anyone.

And there shouldn’t be a problem with that.

Kidero men Blamed for Jacaranda Grounds Mess

By Nephat Kenywa

A story has been going around social media claiming Nairobi City County Government vehicles dumped garbage at the Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi where the opposition NASA coalition was scheduled to hold their planned rally on Tuesday.

City Hall Director of Operations Peter Mbaya has termed the allegations a rumour which “is completely baseless”.

“H.E Governor Sonko has not pre-qualified any garbage collector after assuming office. Those responsible for dumping garbage recklessly in the city are garbage collectors who were hired by former governor Evans Kidero,” said Mbaya.

“The current garbage collectors at City Hall have been protesting for nonpayment by the Kidero regime and they have now resorted to dumping garbage in the CBD and other areas to tarnish the image of Governor Sonko,” added the Director of Operations at City Hall.

Early this month Sonko complained over the reckless dumping of garbage by City Hall contracted garbage collectors and he accused some of them of attempting to sabotage his administration.

The Nairobi City County Government has already advertised tenders for garbage collectors in all the 17 Sub Wards in Nairobi to replaces those who had been hired by the previous administration.

Dear Uhuru Jubilee Sycophants, The Same Police That Beat You Mercilessly At Kasarani are The Same Ones Killing NASA Supporters.

By Mutembei

Jubilee sycophants now are spreading the propaganda that its not the police who are killing NASA supporters and children,Hehehe this line is laughable,to think that someone in NASA can kill kids is just idiocy of highest level. If NASA had guns they would go it man to man with the police.

But NASA are peaceful and innocent supporters who follow their leader religiously whenever he needs them. Why are the police not arresting the killers then?Or are we saying that Kenya has reached a point where by we are killed like Chickens and police can do nothing about it? I repeat that’s idiocy of the highest order!

Three of my siblings are in police service or do I call it police force,Now whenever a NASA supporter or a young kid has been felled by the police I have been in fore front to condemn it despite some Jubilee sycophants celebrating the deaths of NASA supporters and Baby Pendo as if these were not souls lost.Yes police are trained to give us security but this has turned opposite whenever NASA supporters are involved.

They shoot NASA guys and in the process also kill young souls latest being Yesterday at Pipeline where they killed a very promising young boy barely five years old as he was playing with his mates. This is a kid who knows nothing about what is happening in this republic but a rogue police officer who am very sure if investigated well supports Jubilee, decided to cut this young boy’s life.N

ow as NASA still condemned this act,Jubilee sycophants still celebrates the loss of such life. The good Lord Yesterday touched the Alshabaab militants and they ambushed some police officers and fell down two and others received some injuries. To us the oppressed we dont celebrate this but this oppression that police has netted towards NASA supporters makes us feel like celebrating it.Truth of the matter is this is all human lives being lost. Our neighbours our brothers our sisters and other of our loved ones.

To Jubilee sycophants who are celebrating any of these police brutality, just know its someone’s husband, wife, kid being killed. Human life should always be sacred be it NASA JUBILEE or POLICE life.As long as Jubilee celebrates police killing NASA guys, just know that NASA guys will ‘celebrate’ Alshabaab killing the police.Sad state.

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir Letter To Kenya Police Causes Panic In Statehouse, ICC Calling.

Open Letter To Kenya Police

And the LORD said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.
Genesis 4:10

When I saw the pictures of 7 year old Geoffrey Mutinda lying death on his pool of blood at his balcony having been shot by the Police, my heart was torn. In such times of moral crisis, there is no room for equivocation. We must choose sides. In the day of Judgment, Jesus will ask us what we did when Master Mutinda was killed …

Our Constitution binds all, big and small, rich and poor with no qualifications. Our Constitution says any other law that is inconsistent with it is VOID. The Bill of Rights in the Constitution makes it loudly clear that we all have the Rights to Life, Equality from discrimination, Human Dignity, Freedom Of Expression, Political Rights, Freedom to Demonstrate & Picket and Freedom From Degrading Treatment. These rights are not the privilege of any individual or institution.

The History Of Kenya Police is a sordid one. We have just been ranked the worst Police in the world bar Nigeria and Uganda. Even the failed States of Congo, Sierra Leone and CAR are better than us. Even despotic regimes of the Middle East are faring better.

We have had many false starts to reform the Police. As an Op-Ed Columnist in the NATION and STANDARD for over 10 Years, I argued repeatedly that Police be reformed both systemically and also in human and materĂel resources. I have argued that our Police be modeled along the Hong Kong Police. There, a Constable starting salary is us$5,000, and not our paltry Kshs. 15,000/= that make our Police take bribes of Kshs.50/=.

Be that as it may, our laws do not allow the Police to kill anyone except by law stated. The National Police Act, 2011 States clearly that you can only use your gun when your life is in danger or preventing a felon from escaping from lawful custody or protect life and property. Burning or looting a kiosk can never be a reason to kill. And sufficient notice must in any event be given before use of arms.

However, it seems the Police have been quick to use guns to quell NASA rallies. This year alone, over 100 people are documented to have died from Police shootings. This is not morally or legally right. In France, public demonstrations are more violent than Kenya, yet Police never kill. In South Africa, demonstrators buy bricks to use against the Police and no one gets killed. In Pakistan, demonstrators are armed and Police rarely kill. Why then is Kenyan Police trigger happy to kill?

Under International Law, the Defence Of Superior Command is no longer available. Individuals, whether Police or Military or Civilians are personally liable for breaching international norms on life, property and war. Our Police Act is very clear that you only obey lawful orders. Orders that violate the Constitution can’t be lawful.

My plea and prayer to our Police is to be human , and read and understand our Constitution and the Police Act. There is no time limitation on crime …. One day, time catches up on all criminals and they account for their crimes. And if one misses earthly Justice, they can’t miss God’s Judgment as set out in the Bible and the Koran. In the Day Of Judgment, Jesus will tell you: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Choice to respect life is personal.

Finally Uhuru Followers Experienced First Hand Police Brutality And They Cant Believe It

They came out Kumira kumira to celebrate their leader, their clarion call was #TukutaneKasarani.. Then this happened!

They are yet to come to terms with the fact that this could actually happen to them because they thought teargas and police brutality is specifically meant for some people from some place who are cursed. How could the police do this to the chosen ones?? How could they do this to the owners of the country?? Did they mistake them for the women and kids on the other side.?? #WeshallRevisit.

Raila Loyalists Hon Mbadi and Junet Mohammed Named As NASA Leaders in Parliament

NASA has finally submitted its House leadership members to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi for approval.

The delay has been attributed to unending wrangles between ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya on how to share the slots.

Suba South MP John Mbadi will be the Minority Leader while Suna East MP Junet Mohammed will be the Whip.

Both Mbadi and Junet are from Raila Odinga’s ODM.

The nomination of Hon Junet Mohammed who is a close ally of Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho is meant to reward the Muslim constituency (Coast and Northern Frontier Districts) for their commitment to the change movement.

Hon Mbadi is from the minority Suba tribe (Bantu) while Junet is a Somali by tribe although he represents an 97% Luo dominated constituency in Migori Cpunty.

Junet will be deputised by Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa of Ford Kenya.

Kathiani MP Robert Mbui who belongs to Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper will deputise Mbadi.

The coalition is yet to agree on parliamentary committee membership including chairing two powerful watchdog committees – Public Investment and Public Accounts.

Exposed: An AP Police Officer Attached To Tasia AP Camp Shot And Killed 7 Year old boy in Pipeline Estate

The seven-year-old boy shot and killed in Pipeline Estate on Tuesday was felled by AP police attached to Tasia Police post/camp.

The APs went round the estate harrassing residents in a bid to disrupt opposition rally that was scheduled at Jacaranda grounds

The boy, Geoffrey Mutinda, was playing on the balcony of their first floor apartment in Pipeline, off Outer Ring Road, in an area that had experienced protests earlier in the day.

Residents said he was shot by men they said were Administration Police officers from a nearby post.

They were riding a motorcycle and were not in uniform but were known to locals, residents said.

It is not clear why they were shooting since, according to the family, the area was calm at the time.

“There were no demonstrations or political rallies here. We do not know why the police shot. They were riding on a motorcycle and shooting indiscriminately,”
Mr Mutuku the father of the Mutinda said.

Another resident, who asked not to be named, said the officers who were in plain clothes and are stationed at the nearby AP Camp in Tassia.

He said eight policemen on four motorcycles were moving around the estate when the shooting happened.

Mutinda, a class two pupil at Remedy Academy Mwala, Machakos, was shot in the head.

Mother and child had come to visit after schools closed for the holidays.

Angry residents used stones, boulders and old tyres to barricade roads into the estate to prevent police from accessing the estate to collect the body.

A pregnant woman, their neighbour, who was also on the balcony during the incident, was shot in the leg.

Police blocked access to Jacaranda Grounds where Nasa supreme leader Raila Odinga had planned a memorial service for 25 youth killed by police a few days ago.

Opposition leaders and supporters were tear-gassed and prevented from reaching the venue

The NASA leader who later addressed a roadside rally on Manyanja Road, opposite Greenspan Estate, and later at Kibera after police tear-gassed his motorcade, condemned the killings.

“We condemn the killings that happened today as Uhuru was being sworn in. Five people were shot by police today including a child and a mama mboga (vegetable vendor),” he claimed.

Family Stranded After Spending All Assets To Treat Ailing Father, Later Dies of Cancer

Nothing can be as unfortunate as losing a loved one after a long illness, but its much more painful if the deceased was the sole bread winner and passes on after exhausting all the family resources. It is even worse when the diseased had no formal job but just a farm hand in the village.

Well, a family of the late Evans Osano is left devasted without a proper home having spent all their savings treating him for Cancer of the colon. The late Osano was afarm hand at Mongori scheme, Borabu Nyamira county. The late Osano moved to Mwamogusii scheme in the 90s after his family was unable to send to him to high school, the young Osano then offered to work in the farms to help his father raise school fees for his younger simblings.

The late Osano worked hard and saved enough to buy himself a 1 hactare piece of land where he put up his temporary home. He comntinued to help families especially those that had daily farming. In 2016 he complained of stomack pain and got treatment and recovered, in 2017 the stomach pain resurfaced and went to hospital where he was diagonised of level 3 cancer, treatment was commenced immediately and family hoped he will recover, they sold his dairy cows and other assets to raise medical fees but lost the battle on 23rd November.

Now the family was left pennlesss having sold off his assets to raise medovcal fees. Osano is survived by four children, the eldest a daughter just concluded her P1 teacher training college at Narok Teachers, 2nd born just sat for his KCSE, 3rd born is gping to Form 3 and the last born is in class 7.

The wife who now window will have to carry the entire baggage including extended family. Osano burial is set for 8th of December but the fanily is having challenges meeting funeral expenses after having spent much of their savings in medical bills. The family is stranded now especially on moving ouyt of tea estate housing where they lived to their incomplete home. The family is appealing for help.

Breaking Sad: 7 Year Old Boy Killed By Police As They Battled NASA Supporters At Pipeline Estate

By Silas G N

My heart bleeds for a family who will be without their son tonight. Stolen by the police bullet. Earlier I saw a polican clobber an unarmed woman, pretty unnecessarily.

Earlier today I saw the police indiscriminately throw teargas at apartments and compounds in Donholm.

As Governor Woodboy Mkenya said when it comes to crowd-control, they score rather lowly.

Scientist should tell us if there are long term effects of inhaling teargas because Nairobi is the most teargassed city in the world.

If shooting kids playing in their balconies, teargassing innocent civillians, and clobbering and killing them is the path to reconcialiation, then the struggle just started. In 2010, whem we promulgated the new constitution I thought it was police brutality and extra-judicial killings were a thing of the past, but look where we are.

Prayers, sympathy and empathy for the family of the slain kid. He didn’t have to die when we were told that our leaders live children. God will serve justice.

World Leaders Honour Raila By Boycotting Uhuru Swearing In Ceremony, #PM Netanyahu Magufuli Resist

*The Inaugration attendance and representation is wanting.*
Does it have something to do with acceptability?

Only these weak and meek African Countries have presidents at Kasarani. Somalia, Namibia, Ethiopia PM, South Sudan, Botswana, Djibouti, Zambia, Gabon, Uganda and Rwanda

I can tell you this is a sign of tale tell whether you refuse to acknowledge or you just argue for the sake it. As a supporter of the Government you must be scratching your head asking what went wrong.

If we have no South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana, DRC, Gambia etc who play same league as Kenya then relax and watch this space. Much more May come.

Even African Union (AU) is not adequately represented.

Not even UN send a representative. TVs are busy flashing Mukhisa Kituyi the SG UNICTAD name to hoodwink Kenyans that UN is with us. Mukhisa is attending just like any other Kenyan. Those who understand how UN works then you know that can’t send your own son to represent you on such a forum.

For those who have come and given a chance to talk, have found themselves with no content to talk about. They are simply flat.

You heard what the DP said in his speech. Unlike last time when he cried which was even better on messaging, today he was with no substance, vigour and excitement he usually has.

Uhuru is still speaking now but, he should just rethink about his working environment. It may be very difficult for him. Thank you

My opinion.

Magufuli Shows Uhuru Middle Finger, Skips His Fraudulent inauguration

Tanzanian President John Joseph Pombe Magufuli has deliberately skipped Uhuru’s inauguration ceremony at Kasarani even after confirming attendance.

He instead sent his Vice President since he could not stand the mockery of democracy taking place in his presence yet it is Raila who fought for it.

Anti-riot police at Kasarani stadium where the mock presidential inauguration exercise is taking place today roughed up, tear-gassed and mercilessly beat up Jubiliee supporters who tried to force entry into the stadium.

According to our witnesser, men were grabbed by their balls, squeezed and kicked on their asses when they tried to engage the police.

It is now apparent that Jubilee is worse than NASA. This is their event and it is only their members that are in attendance. Where then does the snafu come from given the mentality that it isNASA supporters that are disorderly?

Nothing To Celebrate In Meru As County Loses Top Brain Hon Mutiga Gatobu

By Benson Maisori
Tribute to Comrade Linus Emmanuel Mutiga Gitobu!
Fellow countrymen! As we celebrate the swearing in of President Uhuru Kenyatta to serve his final five year term as President of the republic of Kenya, as a person I have nothing to celebrate about. The passing on of my great comrade, brother and friend, the great Sonu Chairman ( 2005-2006), Comrade Mutiga Gitobu has shredded my heart into pieces! We joined the University of Nairobi on 7th October 2002 as freshers and within two days I met Mutiga Gitobu who i learnt immediately had a unique magnetic appeal, charisma and a compelling personality.

I later learnt that Mutiga had been the school Captain of Nkubu High School and because there were hundreds of former school mates from that school, Mutiga’s popularity in campus was expected. Every single time I met Mutiga he was in a huge company of Ameru people who flocked his campus room in Hall 9. I became part of this group and naturally we clicked because we shared so much in common.

In the lecture halls, Mutiga Gitobu was a genius. The way he grasped concepts and unpacked them left several wowed. I actually remember that Mutiga got 12As out 12 in our first year.

In our second year, Mutiga contested for Main Campus seat in SONU vying against another great genius, comrade and friend Comrade Washington Sirikal ( Washington Ouma). I was unable to make a a decision on who to support between these great minds. Finally, Mutiga won in that contest becoming a vibrant, radical and firebrand leader who at one time stormed the University Council meeting and grabbed the minutes of the Council proceedings. He called Students to gather at kamukunji grounds and read the minutes to us and later pinned them on the notice board outside SWA offices. The ensuing hullabaloo caused the immediate closure of the University and Mutiga was suspended for one year from Campus. When he returned after serving his suspension, he vied vied as SONU chairman and he won with an earthshaking Victory.

I remember when we went campaign in kikuyu campus, the sea of humanity that descended on kikuyu campus to listen to this great man was iconic. The reverberating song that bellowed across the black nimbus clouds made even the matatu operations in kikuyu town come to a standstill. “We want Mutiga! We want Mutiga! We want Mutiga! We want Mutiga!………….” became a song!

That is the man I mourn today. We were all expecting this man to shoot to national limelight soon than later but for unknown reasons he had a backseat after leaving campus. I had always wondered why until I learnt that Mutiga’s health was deteriorating for the past few years. He passed on on Saturday.

We have truly lost the President this country will never have! Believe me when I tell you Mutiga Gitobu would easily have become the President of this country if he ever lived to vie! He was a genius in speech work. Eloquent and Articulate. A natural crowd puller blessed with charisma. Above all all a man who feared God. He always told me he was a Sunday School teacher in his rural church in Nkubu.

Fare thee well brother, friend and Comrade Linus Emmanuel Mutiga Gitobu!

TRUTH: Our Problems Are Far from Over, We Are Celebrating ‘A Tragedy’

By Tony Kimani:

Today, I will be blunt. Forthright.

Anybody who thinks that we are a democratic country unified in diversity, operating under all those fancy names given to good governance and prosperity, is being dishonest to themselves by every parameter.

Our dam broke and as a result, a deluge of uncertainty is hitting our weak and frail dyke of nationalism and unity. We can attempt, like a number of times before, to assume and gloss over the current flood which has been occasioned by a breach of the banks.

We are treading on murky ground.

The State has been left to run berserk. This State, in as much as our country is concerned, is made up of many, albeit different communities or nations which were brought together by the British protectorate under control of Her Imperial Majesty.

Every community had its own ways of life but in order to conflate and maximize on returns, they were brought together under artificial boundaries and forced to exist as one nation, Kenya.

Communities therefore, acted as the basest and most rudimentary form of this amorphous unity.

It is these communities clumped together, which formed nations, that later gave way to the State. The State is by all dimensions, subservient to these nations. As I have said many times on this agora, a nation is brought into being through the political—and inclusive—will of its citizens, not through mere allocation of names and duties.

The citizens ascribe to the idea of a Nation by willingly accepting to forego their individual ambitions for the betterment of collective aspirations and objectives. The State, which comes into force to ensure that the collective aspirations of the nation are met, is allocated the power to act as the caretaker on behalf of the people.

The State therefore, ought to always act at the behest of peoples’ interest.

Here is where our problems lie.

We have a State which lords over its people, the very source of its existence. We have a State which shows open favoritism to particular communities or pursues interests of a few, at the expense of all.

We have a Head of State who publicly utters unequivocally that his subsistence and that of his Govt. arise from the benevolence of only two communities.

In a country with over 40 communities, such talk and action just goes to negate and subsequently jettison the theory of this highly praised Kenyan Project.

Such a project, based on the aspersions directed to it, by none other than the Head of State himself, died an untimely death, long time ago.

It’s no secret that we are a deeply divided country. We openly hate one another based on the ethnic side one belongs to. We celebrate when other Kenyans from other communities are killed or bludgeoned to death by police, the very same police responsible for offering them protection.

Ours is a country built on hate, vitriol, besmirch and opprobrium.

We celebrate when young children and women are murdered in cold blood. We clap when our Head of State (supposedly one of our own), hurls unprintable names to his competitors. We encourage him to be “firm” when he is misusing State security to maim and murder innocent citizens.

Instead of calling his bluff when he defends continuous plunder of resources, we fall over each other and hail him as the “coolest,” and “developmental conscious,” even after he has mortgaged our entire lives to the Chinese.

We continue to support and tolerate mediocrity when we are misled that a railway built side by side to another pre-existing old railway line, costing a fortune, is among our economic development pillars.

We continue to wallow in debt when billions are poured to build a dual carriageway that will run parallel to those 2 railway lines. As if that is not enough, dear brothers and sisters, one of the railway lines has been allocated other billions to “electrify” the locomotive even when it has been proven that the railway construction was not economically viable.

Why then should the people continue to recognize such a State whose main intent is to embezzle the collective wherewithal and indebt them with expensive onerous loans without getting value for the money?

We should stop being hypocritical and pretend that our problems will go away by themselves or by prayer.

That every disgrace will be forgotten and life will continue “as usual” and that the thieving will go on unimpeded. That the State will continue destroying all the independent constitutional institutions so that it can continue to strut the land like a colossus.

That it will continue to subvert the will of the people during elections and the loser will always be declared the winner and being “sworn in,” the malfeasance notwithstanding.

And when we ask, we are responded to with the usual haughtiness of, “Mtado? Kenya ina wenyewe, jamaa!”

That there will be more Kaburas and Gethis carting away millions from the coffers and nothing is done to them (even after they publicly confess such glaring atrocities). That there will be more debt taken in our names to finance “development projects” even when the debt to GDP ratio is fast approaching 60%?

Nay, more.

This abusive marriage should be dissolved. And people let to go their separate ways. There will be nothing much to lose, after all. Those wishing to continue in these solipsistic aberrations should be left to be.

Those who believe in the existence of paradise and hell, should be prepared to experience the stinging pangs of the latter, right here in Kenya.

Enough is enough. When an operating system becomes dilapidated and dysfunctional, only one action ensures that it is revived:

Restoring factory settings.

Exposed: Uhuru Made Changes In Top Military Ranks To Avoid Coup?

The Kenyan military has quietly effected key changes in its top ranks, a departure from a recent trend where the defence forces were slowly opening up to greater public scrutiny.

Major-General Charles Gituai is now the general officer in charge of the Western Command.

Until his appointment, he was the chief of staff in the East Africa Standby Force.

SPOKESMAN

Colonel David Obonyo is now in charge of Public Affairs at the Department of Defence headquarters in Nairobi.

He replaced Col Joseph Owuoth, who barely survived three months on the job.

The holder of the office is the official spokesman of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).

Maj-Gen Gituai replaced Maj- Gen George Owinow, who doubled as the commandant of the Kenya Military Academy.

The latter, however, remains in charge of the academy, which is based in Lanet, Nakuru, and trains cadets who later join the Army, Airforce and Navy as commissioned officers after graduation.

Col Owouth’s exit, unlike that of his predecessors, was shrouded in controversy.

Efforts by the Sunday Nation to obtain comment from the Department of Defence on the changes and the fate of Col Owuoth did not yield results.

The DoD failed to return calls by the Sunday Nation or respond to emails enquiring about the changes.

ALOOF MILITARY

In the past, Kenyans were accustomed to an aloof military, where officers and servicemen restricted their day-to-day activities to barracks from where they emerged on public holidays to display their might and colourful ceremonial displays.

The tradition, however, changed after Kenya, for the first time, sent troops to Somalia to fight Al-Shabaab terrorists in 2011.

Colonel Cyrus Oguna was appointed the official military mouthpiece and he appeared on TV to give regular updates on the war.

On social media platforms, he was effectively assisted by Major Emmanuel Chirchir.

Col Oguna exited the stage after he was deployed to Tanzania as the Defence attaché.

Kenya has decades-old military collaborations with its neighbour in the south.

Exit Col Oguna and in came Col Willy Wesonga.

DEFENCE MATTERS

A few weeks into the position, he was replaced by Col Owuoth.

In a position proving to be a hot potato during an era of divisive politics, Col Owuoth was dropped to give way for Col Obonyo.

A week before the August 8 General Election, the Ministry of Defence went out of its way to issue a statement that condemned then Kisumu Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o, who is now the governor of the lakeside city, for making unwarranted statements on defence matters.

The governor had said the military spokesman had gone missing, insinuating that there were some individuals behind his disappearance.

He suggested that he had probably been killed.

ALARMING

Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo presented the colonel to the media, describing Prof Nyong’o’s statement as “alarming and irresponsible”.

Days earlier, Col Owuoth was quoted in the media authenticating alarming documents that were being circulated by the opposition National Super Alliance, which, at the time, its leader Raila Odinga was set to battle it out for the presidency with President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Jubilee Party.

The coalition a lost in the polls. It boycotted the repeat presidential election that was held on October 26.

The documents in question were allegedly drawn by the military. They were said to be an operational plan to rig the election in favour of President Kenyatta.

The Inauguration Debacle: Celebration of Another Lie

By Alberto Nyakundi Amenya (The Banana Peddler)

I have said in this space before that Kenya has the highest number of fools per square kilometre. Some ignored but some believed me. For those who elected to believe me, I have been vindicated. In Germany, Angela Merkel will be sworn in at the cost of zero Deustche marks whereas Kenya will spend more than Ksh400 million to swear in a second term President. Later on, you will see Kenya begging Germany for a Ksh100 million loan to fund free education.

Fellow Kenyans, even as Uhuru prepares to swear himself in for a second term, the situation in our country is worse. The government has failed to perform its duties on several fronts. The quality of life is progressively worsening. The infrastructure of ordinary life has evidently decayed. The last five years of Uhuruto have been terrible. The greed of Jubilee leaders has overwhelmed their responsibilities to better the citizens. Yet, your President says all is well, “I deserve another term”

The fact that roads leading to and out of Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani to mark the swearing in of Uhuru Kenyatta are cordoned off, confirms there will be nothing to celebrate after all.

The swearing in of the President, celebration is not about the celebrant. Celebration is about Kenyan well-wishers who turn up voluntarily to share in the joy of the moment. The constitution is right, the President is supposed to be the symbol of National Unity. On the contrary, ours is the symbol of national disunity. Thanks to Mr. President, our country is divided into two classes of citizens; those that are given special treatment and those that are useless and treated as second class citizens.

That is why the hand-picked bloggers and individuals from Rift Valley and Central Provinces that will be ensconced in the deceptive ambience of Kenya’s largest sports facility on November 28 cannot be regarded as the true well-wishers but a rented crowd.

The President’s swearing in ceremony is not supposed to be a day for Kalenjins and Kikuyus or a political party in power, but a day Kenyans from every nook and cranny ought to celebrate.

Nonetheless, true Kenyans who were supposed to attend the investiture will not be at Kasarani. Even if they wanted to make part of the ceremony, the menacing security around the venue will turn them back. They are not invited. But they are not supposed to be invited because it is not their occasion.

The heavy security presence encompassing the RECCE SQUAD, the CAT, the Bomb Squad, the GSU, the Army, the Navy, the Air force and the Kenya Police Force cordoning the venue also puts a lie to whatever is supposed to be celebrated. There is nothing to celebrate and everyone knows it.

What is there to celebrate when this President has not shown Kenyans what he has achieved in the critical sectors to warranty his being re-elected?

What is there to celebrate when everyone knows there was no free fair and credible election conducted?

What is there to celebrate when the level of industrialization has drastically reduced under president Uhuru? What happened to the sugar industry which the giant Mumias Sugar Company was once renowned? What happened to the purported billions the government injected to jumpstart the factory?

Why would Kenyans celebrate President Uhuru’s re-election when billions of taxpayer’s money grew wings and flew under his watch yet no big thief has been jailed?

What is there to celebrate when our Police service was recently ranked third most brutal and corrupt police force in the world by the World Police Index?

Why would Kenyans take it to Kasarani to celebrate the re-election of a President who is not candid enough to tell Kenyans how the nation has fared in the fight against corruption since he took over at the helm of affairs?

What is there to celebrate with the skyrocketing level of unemployment in the land, insecurity, pesky power supply biting poverty, social collapse, poor educational facilities and poor healthcare?

Before we are invited to celebrate, Mr. President should be able to tell Kenyans how much fuel and food cost when he assumed office five years ago and how much it is today as he seeks re-election.

Finally, it will do Uhuru Kenyatta a lot of good than harm to show Kenyans verifiable achievements of the past five years upon which he wishes them to join him at Kasarani and celebrate his re-election, rather than the cosmetics his PR team is parading all over. He should show Kenyans his record of development, justice and social engineering. He should prove to Kenyans that he is a progressive leader and not a retrogressive leader. Anyhing else is contrary to the truth.

Breaking Sad: The Hon Comrade Mutiga Gatobu Is Dead, Special Tribute

TRIBUTE TO COMRADE Mutiga Gitobu .

By Bernad Adhiambo Adhiambo

Yesterday we woke up to the shocking news of death of comrade Mutiga. Tigz, and myself served in the SONU of 2006/2007 as Chairman and Secretary General respectively. He was ably deputised by Ben-Ben Karuga – Deputy Chairman for Administration and Martha Wangari – Deputy Chairman for Academic Affairs. Tigz and myself together with other firebrand student leaders like Powerful SG David Okindo , Mutumishi John Ngaruiya , the late Oulu GPO and Ken Adede were suspended (Adede and Oulu were actually expelled) from The University of Nairobi in 2004 for opposing the unilateral increase of school fees for regular students. Mutiga and myself successfully appealed the 3 academic years suspension verdict at The Senate Disciplinary Committee Chaired by the then DVC Academic Affairs, Prof. Kaimenyi (Current CS for Land and Housing Ministry.) We resumed campus from suspension at the peak of SONU 2006/2007 elections and immediately plugged into students politics. Sam Kamau was poised to takeover the converted Chairmanship position from Machuki Nemwel . The GEMA students community had perfected their elections schemes in the famous Fig Tree hotel meetings every campaign period, in 2006 Sam was endorsed for Chairmanship by the community. Sam was a strong candidate; he was a well polished tall light-skinned gentleman while Mutiga was a short eloquent mirra-chewing aggressive Meru Rastafarian – this implied that Sam could easily solidify women votes, Sam was from Kikuyu campus – a campus known for being politically overzealous, he was a member of University Christian Union – this was a solid voting block with networks across all the eight campuses of UoN and above all, Sam was from Kikuyu Community – the tyranny of numbers favoured him. We mounted a serious “well-oiled” joint campaigns with Comrade Mutiga spearheaded by our joint campaign manager, Milton Obote (Milton was thereafter elected the speaker of the students parliament.) that spoilt the party for comrade Sam Kamau. It was a landslide win for us, most of the contestants in our camp were elected. We had control of the Executive and Parliamentary arms of the students leadership. We served the students to the best of our abilities while championing transformative initiatives including changing of the SONU constitution to a more robust one.

Tigz was witty, eloquent, fearless (close to being termed reckless), humble, dedicated, non-tribal, selfless and highly generous student leader.

In one of his wits, during a public lecture at Taifa Hall in 2006 when Barack Obama was Senator for Illinois, Mutiga challenged and encouraged Obama to run for the United States of America President telling him that he was willing to travel with team of students all the way to be a volunteer in Obama’s Presidential Campaigns.

Mutiga perfectly articulated students issues in the university of Nairobi Council where him and myself where members. He was a member of the University Council subcommittee on procurement oversight chaired by Mr. Macharia of Royal Media Services.

Tigz, was unanimously elected the founding president of Panafrica Student Movement in early 2007 during a conference he attended in Durban South Africa.

He spent most of his evenings unwinding around tea room area with a large group of students that were obviously beneficiaries of his unrivalled generosity. Most if his earnings as a student leader were spent on poor and needy students. His large single room at Tom Mboya Hall 9 was always full with needy students of all tribes. He shunned material wealth and lavish lifestyle (unlike most student leaders.) His mantra was that being in possession of material wealth and lavish lifestyle would make him out of touch with students needs.

His close confidant in Executive was Harambe Elias while his man in Students Parliament was the Clerk of the parliament Minenge of Parklands campus. He had some “soft-spot” for Grace Louise Bomu – the Secretary for Legal affairs.

Mutiga could have easily been re-elected, in fact many students pressured him to seek re-election but he insisted that he had fulfilled his mandate, he peacefully handed over the mantle to his successor Adinda J.

Tigz was destined for big things but the cruel hands of death robbed us of him early in life. Let us celebrate him and give a deserving send-off. He was a friend and a brother to many.

May the soul of Comrade Mutiga Gitobu rest in peace.

“We Have Many Problems In Mt Kenya, Uhuru Will Not Help”- Hon Njoroge Cries

Dear President Uhuru Kenyatta,

This letter is an attempt to get the voice of Kenyans to you as you ready for your swearing in.

How can Kenyans be heard by you?

We all want Desperately to be heard and yet nobody is listening. There is anger and frustration and it’s growing. People don’t have a voice in deciding anything that concerns them politically or economically.

We Kenyans have severe doubts about the system. It is rigged and we know it.
We are worried about jobs and bills and food. The system is not working for most people but for fewer and fewer Kenyans despite all the education and hard work.

How is the System rigged?

1. The economy was not designed to include everyone fairly especially in way of access. It was designed to benefit the government and the people in it. It is an immoral economy that does not need reform but a total overhaul and Re engineering to work from ground up. Kenya economy has to be organized for People not for Projects, with the Understanding that every player is not a beneficiary but a part of growing it. This re design will also affect our culture. We will not look to governance structures as places of taking and grabbing but places of contributing and growing as we make room for many more downwards and upwards. We will not have a challenge seeing the place and contribution of women in it and we will not have politicians and public servants shamelessly robbing Kenyans through the government system.

2. It seems like Ronald Reagan said “Government is not a solution to our problem, government is our problem”. Where is our wealth going? To the top? The middle or the bottom? The debt we are consuming who are the beneficiaries for the three groups ? We need to change something. Are farmers producing and making money? Kenya’s agriculture sector employs more than 75 percent of the workforce and accounts both directly and indirectly for approximately 51 percent of Kenya’s gross domestic product (GDP). Yet Half of our population is undernourished, can’t eat enough food as recommended by World Health, in quantity not even quality. 1 out of every 5 families are critically food poor, even if they used all their income on food they still would be underfed. And guess what? in this category a majority are our farmers. We don’t have food for two major reasons: Low Production and Unbelievably high Post production losses. Both can be sorted if the system is not rigged.

3. The Economy is growing we hear… but all the money is going to the top and so is the political power. This is a vicious circle. Because now the political power decide the beneficiaries of the economy. Ever heard the phrase “the cartel is fighting back” ? The net effect of all the tops fighting back is to snuff the cash and benefit from the bottom and the middle. It happens through the legislature, through the cabinets, through the public servants and administrators. And the normal citizen is voiceless in those circles. As the Chamber of commerce was instructed many decades ago “Business must learn the lesson … that political power is necessary; that such power must be assiduously cultivated; and that when necessary, it must be used aggressively and with determination — without embarrassment and without reluctance. “ Who speaks for our benefit?

4. Party labels and tribes aside. Do we Kenyans sincerely believe Politics, Economy and their values are for our benefit? Do the people who operate the government do so at their own profit or that of the citizens? Is the Constitution which is designed to limit the government and its people’s excesses enforced to do so ? Is Power misused that’s why we see overnight millionaires and billionaires in government and among their relatives and cronies ? Most importantly when you read this, do you want to change Things or you want in? How do we make it and be proud of our honest effort ? Are employees, who by the way are just 2.5 Million out of the approximate 13 Million economically engaged Kenyans, fairly compensated for their work? Kenyans are frightened, cornered and insecure. This is dangerous for the government.

5. We, Kenyans, not employed and who can’t make ends meet even on our hardest working days are left picking up the bills for high debt and expenses that benefit the top few either through exorbitant spending or outright Economic banditry and theft. Why this arrogant excessiveness when so many are struggling to eat? Kenyans have Economic Rights as Enshrined in Article 43 of the Constitution which in part states: Every person has the right
(a) to the highest attainable standard of health, which includes the right to health care services
(b) to accessible and adequate housing, and to reasonable standards of sanitation
(c) to be free from hunger, and to have adequate food of acceptable quality;
(d) to clean and safe water in adequate quantities;

What is happening on Public Health and Insurance front? On telecommunications front? On Pharmaceutical and private hospitals front? How do we sweep all these under in the name of Public relations or legal loopholes?

The voices of the Kenyans have disappeared. We have been shoved aside and rendered useless in the bigger political and economic plan and picture. Kenyans don’t think the country is headed in the right direction. As one policy Man once said “We are becoming a two tiered society, composed of a few winners and a larger group of Kenyans left behind. Our anger and disillusionment is now a tool for manipulation.” This anger and rage is what’s destroying our core and bones. Mass resentment is our slow poison that is replacing tolerance with hate.

We invite you Mr President to get down to our level , without vengeance, anger or fatigue and listen to us as Kenyans. What will your legacy really and truly be?

Yours truly
Citizen 22593387
Rita Mayier Njoroge

This is my voice. Add your voice and share.

Dear Miguna, Please Spare Raila, He Is More Affected Than You

Bu P Nyamai

Now you are chiding Eng. Raila Odinga as if you are the most affected. You are using all the unkind words you can find around you to hurl insults at him as if the world is ending on Tuesday.

You must know you are wrong in this. My fellow Kenyans, supporters think of tomorrow. I know those who were wounded, brutalized and escape bullets till NHIF junction where Raila Odinga addressed us during his return from USA are quiet and waiting upon him for directions. They have never lost hope.

I know the fallen soldiers in the struggle died over something they believed in. We know you managed to sponsor your agendum at Nation Media group that Raila Odinga does not want to be sworn in on Tuesday and even went further to second it on social media, but it will not change a thing.

Raila Odinga is not that stupid to fall into your trap. Your sentiments and insults on his person will not change what he believes in. He has no instruments of power or assurance of the same. All the instances you are likening Kenya with had foreign and military backing unlike our case where we only have people with stones who are being killed like flies.

We are dealing with bloodthirsty criminals, we can’t dare lose more lives on something we have so many options in. We must have a country. We cannot afford to witness more deaths.

Raila Odinga is not power hungry and myopic. There is something he has seen at the end of his sailing where he will anchor this boat, ship. He has his cards to play.

Sooner or later, you will agree with him that he was/is right. We will go to Jacaranda grounds on Tuesday and we will abide by his directives. We will not make a mistake of swearing him in on Tuesday.

Remember this journey has never been for the fainthearted so continue abusing him if that is what pleases you and once done come back and see the unfolding of what lies ahead of us, Canaan is real!

The Next World War Will Be Over Soccer Injustice, Here Is How And Why.

Thank God, I chose to watch the match at home with my boy and not at some pub as I usually do: I was so angry, I would have harmed a celebrating Arsenal fan!

I said it and will repeat: the next world war is going to be fought over a dispute in soccer if we don’t do anything to curb soccer injustice. It might sound far fetched, even absurd but it is the reality. Consider a hypothetical situation.

The world cup is being played in Russia next year or in the middle east in the year 2022. It pits Nigeria against China for example. The referee say, Craig Pawson or Lee Mason makes a wrong call against Nigeria and an altercation starts in the midfield. That moment moment of madness spirals out of control and is replicated in far away Lagos as livid Nigerian fans terrorize Chinese infrastructure workers in Nigeria. The situation gets out of hand and is replicated in major African cities including Nairobi where Kenyan soccer fans vent their anger on anything Chinese. Everyone loses their minds and before we know it, governments make unreasonable decisions and before we know it, we got a world war in our hands!. The world war onne begun by the shooting of some Austrian prince somewhere and a simple criminal case snowballed into a world war! A world war only requires a small trigger to erupt!

We need justice in soccer. I sympathize with Burnley who for the third time yesterday fell to Arsenal, thanks to a wrong refereeing decision. The goal line technology has gone along way in resolving goal line disputes. We must now agitate for replay and slow motion pictures to be used to ascertain whether an incident is indeed a penalty.

Additionally, strong retrospective punitive action must be taken against players who simulate in the penalty area. Ramsey should be suspended for three matches. Lee Mason should also be suspended for his indiscretion to serve as a warning to centre referees who don’t do their work well. We need soberness in soccer because it is a highly emotive sport that can ignite an unlikely world war!

Why Senator Sakaja Is Expected To Win 2022 Nairobi Governorship

By Albert Nyakundi Amenya (The Banana Peddler)

Hon Johnson Sakaja is one of the highly respected and most esteemed politicians in Kenya. Politically, he is a man of impeccable morals because of his mature politics. As a learned bloke who eschews tribal politics and hate sentiments, the political cognocente say he is worth his onions.

The decorum encompassed in his integrity has earned him respect countrywide. He is the only politician who has survived without insulting anyone for political millage. That is why many christened him ‘Super Senator Sakaja’ during campaigns. They elected him and they are happy for it.

The enemies of progress fashioned all types of conspiracy theories but the great people of Nairobi rejected and resisted them. When the enemy plotted the worst form of integrity coup against the person of Sakaja, They were not cowed.

The valiant people of Nairobi were wiser. They defied the propaganda and elected the son of the soil to senate. When the agents of the devil ambidextrously elected to assassinate his character and promising career, the respectable people of Nairobi displayed their rich pedigree with royal courage.

Even in the face of the fiercest intimidation and political terrorism, the Super Senator stood with the truth. To rubberstamp their love for him and endorse his genuine wishes, the people stood by him as his political mainstay.

They came out in jumbo numbers to express they love for him at the ballot. For the few months he has been in charge at the helm of Nairobi as Senator, his leadership has been surely vindicated. My garnering close to a million votes, the Super Senator has disproved those who bank on stolen mandates. He has assoiled whoever said that when the battle is hard, the victory is sweet. They people of Nairobi have confirmed that even though they were stretched to breaking point, they persevered till victory was attained.

The gargantuan turnout confirmed the people were ready to die for the only man who they believed would lead them out of Egypt to the Promised Land. They rose up early to defend their man through their votes. They insisted that their votes must count because of what their leader stood for. Sakaja wanted Nairobi County to be the government of the people, by the people and for the people and never a county government of the mighty, by the mighty and for the mighty.

2022 opens a glorious chapter for the people of Nairobi. Word is making rounds that Sonko might deputize Ruto as his running mate. It therefore means the City will be left to Sakaja to run as governor. He is the only politician who is universally accepted. When that time comes, Nairobians will reiterate their political statement that they are no fools after all. The electorate will unequivocally elect hon Sakaja because they already have cogent reasons to buttress their wise decision.

Sakaja is a God fearing young man. He has shown already that with determination, hard work and prayers one can attain the impossible. He has eliminated chance from the act of political re-engineering. In the place of luck and chance he substituted resilience, doggedness, vision, proper strategy and action.

As they say: “The harder the fight, the sweeter the victory.” His victory signposts the triumph of the people over ineptitude, cluelessness, bad governance, impunity and brazen corruption by those elected to serve. until then, let us hope and pray for our future governor.

Prof Ongore Explains Raila’s Germany Education, Puts To Shame Statehouse Gay Bloggers

Statehouse blogger Gordon Opiyo has finally been laid to rest, the fat 60 year old man has been stripping online demanding to be told who were the classmates of Raila Odinga at Madeburg univetsity in east Germany.

Well, the husband of Hon Mumbi Ngaru is on record as being Raila’s classmate in Germany, Engineer Ngaru is a reknown engineer.

Kisii senator Prof Sam Ongeri shared senior common room at the university of Nairobi with Dr Raila Odinga.

Now, one last thing the alleged gay blogger ought to know is that was admitted by the prestigious University of Colorado tomstudy the PhD but opted out after he was offered a top job by the government in 1974.

For more on the Germany Education system read this detailed explanation by Prof Ongore.

Hi, Derek Otieno. We are just done with “Thanksgiving Day”, which was celebrated yesterday throughout the United States. I have seen a Facebook post, to which you drew my attention, regarding Raila Odinga’s academic qualification and teaching position at the University of Nairobi in the 1971/72 Academic Year. The two issues that are presented as per the University of Nairobi Calendar of that year are that: 1. He is a holder of a Diploma in Engineering, and , 2. He is a Laboratory Assistant. Let’s interrogate these issues. 1. Raila holds a German qualification called Dipl-Ing from Madgeburg in the then East Germany. This institution has since come together with others to form Otto Von Guericke Universitat since 1993 (Raila’s name is listed among prominent alumni of this university). Previously, Madgeburg offered technical programmes in Engineering and related disciplines. Dipl-Ing or Dip-Ing is a short form for Diplom-Ingenieur. It was the typical qualification given to graduates of Engineering after completing 5 years of university training in a technical field of study. The former East Germany had two paths to university education after high school (year 10 + 2). The academically oriented students would pursue academic programmes leading to award of Magister, while those with technical orientation would pursue Diplom. Both of them were equivalent to an MSc in a traditional University. After Dipl-Ing, the next Engineering qualification is Dr-Ing, which is the equivalent of PhD in Engineering. Germany and a few other European countries have another very high qualification, known as Doctor of Habilitation (D.Hab), which is specifically designed for people who want to be university Professors. D.Hab is pursued after PhD, and may take between 5 and 9 years post-PhD training, and has no equivalent anywhere in the world. The American or British Post-Doctoral fellowship is not equivalent to a D.Hab. Once obtained, and the holder gets a university position, s/he is referred to as Prof-Dr. This is not the same as a Professor who holds a PhD. In the German ranking, Professor-Dr comes at the top, above everyone else in society, and enjoys the highest salary, way above politicians and other state officers. Prof-Drs are few, far in between, and revered. Perhaps, this explains why people of German extraction and training have generally led the rest of the world in Science, Technology Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and Nobel Prizes. You may wish to check these facts from diverse sources which are available online. Similar grading system applied in all USSR countries. For someone to claim that a Diplom-Ingenieur is equivalent to a Diploma in Engineering in the British tradition could be attributed to either ignorance or mischief. But given that information is so readily available these days, I would go with the likelihood that the author is mischievious. Raila was not employed as a Laboratory Assistant, but rather as a Special Assistant, which means an assistant in a specialized area. That notwithstanding, universities world over employ laboratory assistants and technologists in technical areas, and put them on special schemes of employment. Some technologists at the University of Nairobi, for example, including my own blood relative, Orodi Odhiambo, hold up to PhD, or its equivalent in highly specialized disciplines. There’s no contradiction in holding a PhD and working as a Laboratory Assistant or Technologist. Raila was registered by the Engineering Registration Board of Kenya as a professional engineer (graduate) on the basis of his Dipl-Ing qualification. He was later accepted for a PhD Engineering course at the University of Colorado on the basis of that very qualification ( by the way, I am writing this rejoinder from Colorado). He however, did not take it up as the Government of Kenya appointed him , around the same time, as the first Deputy Director in charge of standards at KEBS. I am very well informed about the German system of education. As a matter of fact, I was in Germany early this week. I am not a politician, and have never wanted to be one. I am not anyone’s gatekeeper. It should be appreciated, however, that all politicians, whether in government or opposition, play a very crucial, but challenging role in our society. They deserve to be respected and supported by all of us. Raila Odinga’s name is intertwined with the history of liberation of Kenya and Africa. This may be a bitter truth to swallow, but it is the truth anyway, whether we like it or not. He has earned a special “acreage” in books of history. Thank you.

Here Is Zimbabwean President’s MNAGANGWA’s Powerful Message To Raila that Rattled Statehouse Machineries

“My brother Raila, l know you are aggrieved and traumatized. Your story is painful and emotional too. This will be painful, but I have to share it with you. I have been touched.Your story is sad.

Its sad to note that Africa the incumbents, they don’t loose elections, the cling and live on it.Unless it’s taken away. At the end of their term a nother government is forced in.

In the quest for our second liberation, it has not been any easy here in Zimbabwe. Mugabe, the oldest president in Africa had clinged to power since 1980.Elections were like traditional rituals. Vice presidents changed like clothes. And democracy buried under avalanche of power and money. All activists were silenced. Civil rights movements banned and protesters charged. Creative protests were abhored, and physical violence laid on perpetrators.

A few weeks ago, another bomb shell was released. One that has sent emmerce regrets on the former president. I was fired as a vice president. Unconstitutional sacked and sent home.

This is the day, hour and time, that I said No!. I felt sorry for myself and my people. This was an acceptable and something had to be done.

I flew to South Africa, to see my longtime friend Zuma. I called the Inspector General and the chief commander. My message was clear and precise. We had to save our country. A few in the army and police rebelled. We overpowed them. Six days later, we sent over 40 tanks to the statehouse, Mugabe was in. We sent him under house arrest. The wife, family and body guards too.

A press statement to confuse the international communities who wanted to interrupt the whole process followed. The state house remained under siege for 3 days. The pressure was too much. Mugabe succumbed to pressure..Yesteday, Zimbabwe celebrated a new dawn.. in my inoguration.

Mr Odinga, you have gone through alot. I write to because of my rest to you . No leader alive in Africa has gone through such a hard time. Your candle is still on..Your sweat is still fresh. Your the hope for millions of your people. Do not give up. Do not relent.

Stay firm on the route that leads to the palace of justice and Democracy. The hope, fate, future and destiny of your country is in your hands.
