TV siren and suspected murder charge accomplish Jacque Maribe will this morning be produced at a Kiambu court in connection with the murder of Monica Kimani on September 19.

DCI Police will be seeking orders to hold her for ten more days in order to complete investigations.

Ms Maribe was arrested on Saturday after two days of interrogation by detectives after incriminating evidence was found in her house. Her fiancé Jowie, the main suspect in the murder, was last week presented before Kiambu Senior Resident Magistrate Stella Atambo who allowed police to detain him for 10 more days as they investigate the case.

Police Closing In On Jacque Maribe Network, Three Journalists Summoned To Record Statements at DCI

Three journalists among them Terryanne Chebet, Shix Kapyenga and Monica Kiragu will tomorrow record statements at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Headquarters in connection with Monica Kimani’s gruesome murder.

A local daily reports that the trio will divulge more details in relation to what they know about Citizen TV anchor Jackie Maribe and her fiancé Joseph Irungu’s connection to the gruesome murder.

Irungu and Maribe are in police custody after detectives connected them to the murder.

Irungu was arrested last week and detained by the court for 10 more days, as detectives continue with investigation.

Maribe was arrested yesterday after she went to record a statement at the DCI, and will appear in court on Monday.

The arrest also followed the recovery of some items in her house and that of a neighbour—including a pistol Jowie had been using—and which police said is not licensed to him.

It is also reported that the clothes Irungu was wearing during the day Ms Kimani was murdered were found burnt in Jackie Maribe’s compound.

Police have not disclosed the exact charges Maribe will face in court on Monday.

Why Raila Will Defeat DP Ruto Come 2022; Fucked Up Economy, Raging Corruption To Unite Kenyans Behind Enigma

By Mungai Mwangi

During the burial of Professor Ouma Muga, Siaya senator Hon James Orengo said something that got many excited. He said that Kenyans MUST give Jakom another chance to run for 2022 elections. That is very good news especially to his supporters and other Kenyans who are tired of the un ending Uhuru Jubilee PR, rising public debt, fucked up economy, un employment and corruption.

If Jakom decides to vie, then he will definitely defeat Ruto the self proclaimed hustler and son of Peasant from Sugoi for several reasons; First, the Mt Kenya region which was extremely hostile against Jakom will has finally run out of steam and have reconciled with him and seem to have realized that the guy means well for Kenya . For Meru and Embu region, those will be a walk over for Jakom for they have always supported Raila but then make last minute change of mind due to fear mongering by their towring neighbours-Kikuyu. Kikuyu seem split as most seem to fear that should they fail to vote for the hustler, they will be labelled as traitors who can’t be trusted with political pacts. In fact, this is the only reason why the some Kikuyus want to vote for the hustler as a block.

But going by the way Jubilee is over taxing everybody and looting the public coffers, even the Kikuyus and Kalenjins communities will refuse to vote for the hustler to conmtinue with Jubilee agenda of corruption and China debts. They will vote for Jakom en mass and the hustler will only manage may be 60% of Rift Valley votes.

Secondly, the super rich Muthaiga council of elders no longer fear Jakom presidency after he decided to handshake and bury the hatchet with Uhuru Kenyatta. This was the only group that was coming between Jakom and state house, they seem to be comfortable with baba. The other regions like coast, Western, North Eastern etc are Jakom strongholds. So, should Jakom decide to vie, he will have entered the state house at 8 am that election day.

To summarize, the rising cost of living (fucked up economy) and the need to end corruption will unite Kenyans and rally behind Baba to defeat DP Ruto and his bunch of very hard working cartels.

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir Writes Protest Lettee To Zambia President Over Deportation of PLO Lumumba

Open Letter To The President Of Zambia

His Excellency President Edgar Lungu,
State House,
Independence Avenue,
LUSAKA

Your Excellency,

Prof. PLO Lumumba is one of my best friends. Yesterday, I had lunch with him as we discussed his trip to Zambia. He had dual invites: Paying a courtesy call on H.E President Kenneth Kaunda, who is his long time friend, and to give the Keynote Address at the Graduation Ceremony Of Eden University.

My friend tells me that you denied him entry to Zambia today morning. The bogus reason given for the deportation was that he was security risk. As a lawyer, you may have feared that PLO who is a distinguished lawyer with no blemish would have spoken about your expulsion from the Roll of Advocates of I Zambia in 2010 for professional misconduct. He wasn’t going to. Or maybe, you thought he was going to speak about how Zambian Electoral Commission gave you 100,000 votes more than your rival Hakainde Hichilema to make sure you cross 50% plus 1 to avoid Run-Off. He wasn’t going to. And he wasn’t going to inform the people of Zambia that you don’t trust Zambian Doctors even for a minor ailment. Unlike those you Rule, you go to South Africa for your medical check-ups and treatment.

But my friend was going to talk about the Colonization Of Zambia by China. It wasn’t lost on you that PLO is a friend of the Founder Of Zambia. Kenneth Kaunda liberated Zambia, but you have given away Zambia to China for 30 Pieces of Silver. China gave you Loans that you knew poor and miserable Zambia can’t pay. Yet you secured the Loans on Zambia’s copper, Airport, Power company and Broadcasting Station. And we have heard Zambia is taking possessions of all these as you can’t pay.

Anyway, Zambia is a signatory to UN, AU and Commonwealth Conventions On Human and Political Rights. Kenya and Zambia enjoy many bilateral treaties including automatic visa on arrival.

You have no right to deport PLO from Zambia. PLO speaks truth to power. Your people may not tell you Of your nakedness, but in Kenya, we tell our leaders so.

This Open Letter acts as notice that you must rescind my friend’s deportation and apologize to him personally. In default, the People of Kenya will demand reciprocal sanctions against your people. Zambia needs Kenya more than we need you.

Learned Counsel

Why Jacque Maribe Was Arrested; Gun, Burnt Cloths And Money found In Her Apartment in Langata

Citizen TV has obtained details from highly placed sources indicating that Joseph Irungu (Jowie) may have shot himself in an apparent suicide attempt inside his girlfriend’s house.

Revealing a new twist in the Monica Kimani murder investigations, sources also said the gun he may have used was discovered after a search of three houses.

Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti led a team of detectives on a near nightlong search at a house in Nairobi’s Buruburu estate.

The other two houses were that of Citizen TV news anchor Jackie Maribe’s house in Langata and her neigbhor’s house.

The puzzle of the gunshot wound under his shoulder has preoccupied officers for the last three days.

The owner of the gun, who police sources claim is one Brian Kassaine Spira, has also been arrested.

They further revealed that on a further search on Friday night, partially burnt clothes were discovered behind the house in Langata where the shooting occurred.

The remains of the clothing have been taken for DNA testing to see if they are the clothes Joseph Irungu was wearing during the shooting incident.

The cause of Monica Kimani’s murder which occurred in Kilimani, is yet to be established.

The phenomenon of women being murdered by their intimate partners on the rise

By I Ngare via Facebook

The phenomenon of women being murdered by their intimate partners is on the rise. But it is not unique to Kenya. The global rate of femicide in 2015 was 24 per 100,000 women. This means that out of every 100,000 women, 24 are likely to be murdered by their intimate partners. The news feature on the front-page of the Standard on Saturday has captured this grim reality. But it has stopped short of explaining why men are increasingly resorting to violence as a legitimate response whenever they feel aggrieved or entitled.

But I’ll tell you why. The increase in femicide is a manifestation of patriarchal backlash. Men have morphed into weaklings. They have become petty. They have become children. A few days ago, I posed a question to a few of my colleagues. “What would you do if you found your Girlfriend cheating on you?” All but one told me unequivocally that if they had money and power, the said Girlfriend would not live to see the next day.

For a long time, men have shared this set of beliefs regarding their right to be the dominant partner in a relationship. They believe –quite fundamentally- that women should, and ought to be subservient. Unfortunately for them, this little thing called democracy happens and suddenly more power is given to the woman. She now has the right to make her own choices. She has multiple sex partners. She can do whatever she wants. The man, feeling emasculated and threatened by this tremendous power that the woman now wields turns to violence.

It speaks to how men have been socialized. The overriding mentality in most of these femicide cases is “if I can’t have you, nobody else will.” I once talked to this young Girl who had walked from an abusive marriage. She said enough is enough, took her kid, and went back to her parents. She was taken back to school, regained her esteem, fixed her life. Then the texts and menacing calls started coming from her ex-husband. She had a feeling that he was stalking her. In my opinion, the man just could not believe that a life he had wrecked could blossom again.

This country is becoming a dangerous place for women to live. A society where you can be murdered for being a woman. And what is even more unfortunate is that men you would consider educated and progressive do not have qualms legitimizing this kind of brutality meted out against women.

For the weeks that I have been following up the murder of Sharon Otieno, I have sat down with and received calls from men whose response to her death was good riddance! One argued that a young woman who leaves her peers and sleeps with an old rich man deserves to be killed. Another asserted that “prostitutes” deserve no sympathy.

But why do men feel disenchanted by the power that is shifting towards women? And why are they responding with violence? These are the questions we need to ask ourselves as society. Why do men feel delineated? Why is the average male graduate angry at the fact that his female colleague is likely to get a job before him? And why do they think feminism is to blame for this?

Is it these perspectives which we allow to take root in the minds of young men that fester and later metamorphose into the violence we are witnessing today? Can it explain the outrageous and even violent rhetoric vented out against women in social media spaces today? Can it explain why men find the philosophy of people like Cyprian Nyakundi so appealing? Why is it that an increasing number of men are openly endorsing hatred and violence against women today?

Unless we answer these questions, femicide statistics might continue experiencing an upward trajectory.

On The Referendum Debate Raila Must Be Very Careful, Kenyans Are Concerned About Cost Of Living

By Antony Oyugi

Here we’re again with talk of a referendum. Proponents should be clear on the issue(s) for which they want a referendum. Are the issues useful to the Kenyan public. The public is basically concerned about their pockets and the cost of living. I’m of the view that political issues especially about power structures aren’t important to Kenyans. It doesn’t matter who’s in government and who’s not especially when those shouting loudest about inclusivity are supporting a non inclusive government when it formulates poor economic policies. Who’s this that’s not included in government when ‘outsiders’ are benefiting from public appointments albeit part-time jobs in parastatals. Who’s this that’s left out when the People’s President tries bulldozing his party into supporting government as it imposes punitive taxes on the people

To Raila Odinga, if you’re interested in a referendum neither you nor your close allies should be loud about it. They shouldn’t assume that there’s a marriage between you and Uhuru. Uhuru is married to Ruto. You’re basically a mpango wa kando. Uhuru will listen to Ruto on matters referendum and other political matters. He only needs you to be in the good books of lenders and trying to stabilize the economy. He also needs you for PR. Not on politics. He has weathered political storms without you and won. He can still do it.

Uhuru knows that he used you to score a goal against you. You didn’t deflect his shot, you scored an own goal. Your soldiers (the people) are wounded from the shot you fired their direction. They don’t have the energy for another battle….at least not this soon. It’s wise to let them ‘recover’ before talking of a referendum. When you call for a referendum and Jubilee opposes it as they’ve started doing, they know you can’t win this debate in the court of public opinion. Your base is angry with you. Let them recover!

‘Forget 2022 If You Can’t Stop Your Allies Stealing From Us’- Kalenjin Farmers Warn DP Ruto

Senate Majority leader Hon Kipchumba Murkomen was publicly humiliated by his constituents in-front of the whole house of the senate sitting in Uasin Gisu county headquarters -Eldoret.

The angry farmers did not mince words as they teared into DP Ruto’s allies for stealing from them through the national cereals and produce board maize scandal. The farmers told a visibly angry Murkomen to his face that his boss DP Ruto should pack and retire with Uhuru ahead of 2022 general election for he has failed to help the maize farmers in his backyard.

Earlier senator Gideon Moi received a super warm reception as he made triumphant entry into Eldoret, popularly known as home of champions. The farmers singled out Senator James Orengo, senator Moi and Senator Wetangula as senior and able leaders who should champion maize farmers interests.

The Man Who Sold a Country for Easy Loans, His Friends And Political allies Looted Much Of It.

By Ekakoro E

The Man Who Sold a Country

About a month after President Uhuru Kenyatta launched his flagship project, the new railway line, I joined a group of fellow merry makers on a trip to Diani. It was my first time on the new train, and it was symbolic for me because I had unknowingly joined the last ride of the Lunatic Express. That last ride was a literal party train, and because the train was slow, it was more chaotic than a night out in Nairobi.

The first thing anyone told me about the new railway wasn’t that there would be about six security checks between the gate and the train. It was that you couldn’t carry alcohol onto the train, and their bar only opens once you get to Mtito Andei. It was a surprise to me because just four months earlier, I had walked into a train that had a bottle of terrible whiskey with my name on it, and there had been a full party in the third class carriage. It also didn’t make sense, to me as a libertarian, why a government and its proxy would have such oddly specific rules about what adults choose to do with time they have little else to do with.

At the second check, I noticed a pile of matchboxes at the feet of two Chinese men supervising the security guards. Then one of them bent, took three of the matchboxes, and stuffed them in his pocket. I hadn’t seen any signboard saying you couldn’t go in with a matchbox, which meant this was actually theft. As was almost everything else about this railway, and the governments that built it. Theft, not just by the two Chinese men and their helpers who were only there for a salary, but by everyone involved in this project. Even us, we were robbing ourselves of the simple choice of carrying perfectly legal things onto a train we had bought tickets to board.

After what felt like unnecessary checks, I was on the train. But I had come all this way with white rum in a clear water bottle. No one had noticed, through six thorough security checks that involved humans and canines, that I was carrying contraband. It didn’t hit me that this was actually a security loophole until the next day. It turns out that the entire experience here was just built on recklessness, and we were all paying for an experience that belongs in a primary school more than for a service where you have to prove you are an adult before you even buy tickets. After the rush was gone, I noticed something else. There were no dustbins. I can’t remember seeing any throughout the station, or on the train, during the entire ride that day. It looks like a small oversight until you consider everything we now know about Uhuru Kenyatta’s flagship project. It belongs in the trash can, but someone ate the money for that too. And we are paying for it, and the thing it should have designated to the dumpsite of ideas.

Like it though, the Lunatic Express was a mess from the beginning. It was a railway that wasn’t meant to be, crossing a country that didn’t exist even as an idea yet. It built a country by force, and killed, stole, and raped everyone and everything it could find. The new railway was meant to herald the start of something similar, but maybe more positive. It was defended as the legacy of our time, and not the cartel idea it was. It’s not just about the railway or dustbins or even the Prohibition-like rules, but about almost every decision the people we have given this country to run have taken in the past six years.

If Kenya was married to Uhuru Kenyatta, and everything he represents as a man and a president, it would be the spouse who hurts, who is emotionally abused, physically abused, threatened with death, distracted with relatives and reckless debts and robbed during the day. It would be the spouse who’s told she’s being taxed because she’s growing too fat, and that because cows don’t run on fuel, the price of milk shouldn’t go up. Even when it is pretty much run by the President’s family , which is legendary in its single-minded pursuit to treat Kenya as a jar that never runs out.

But the beginning of this story should have been about the fact that the most prominent art piece in the entire project is not its architecture, but a Chinese man who visited what’s now Kenya more than seven centuries ago. It’s signs are foreign, it’s English bad, it’s Kiswahili worse, its terms completely ridiculous. But the men who signed us up believed they were doing their job, and perhaps this is where this story begins. That everything happening to us now is deserved because when we should have done better, we actively didn’t. In fact, we ran to the other side of the room. We gave an interviewee a job he didn’t want, and then hoped for the best.

There are a few things that are clear about Uhuru Kenyatta as a human being. He is indecisive, inexperienced, impulsive, reckless, and he has a well-developed persecution complex. He asked us “Mnataka Nifanye” as if he was a panel beater in Muthurwa on a Monday morning, or a shoe shiner in Eldoret wishing he ran the country for a day. That question was an insult. He has scratched his ass in public while threatening the judiciary, which sounds like multitasking at an advanced level. He has fled when he should have been here answering questions, and he has built around him a bubble around which Kenya is fine. And will be fine. And debts and illegal taxes exist on paper and don’t actually affect the people who live here.

We can only love if we know fear, and it is clear now that Uhuru Kenyatta, and the entire political class he heads, does not love or fear us. He, and it, have never learnt to fear us. Not the power of the people. Not our suffering. Not our fears. It simply does not give a fuck. No one does. Even we really don’t. Our politicians are employees who only do the job because it pays the bills and nothing more. They have no plan, no direction, no convictions, and no unrealistic belief that this cow they suck from will survive for long.

***

If you think about it, we don’t know Uhuru Kenyatta. We don’t know who he is as an individual, or what he stands for. We don’t even know the truth about his college education, or even about his lost years, or his personal life. We know the truth, at least in bars and in our homes, but not as part of the national story. We talk about his marriage loudly in bars, and joke about his heavy drinking as we drink heavily to forget just how much shit we are in. To forget that as we order the next round, he could be selling a part of the country and we would still have to pay for it somehow.

The man in charge of this country has never had to fight or beg for thing in his life. Everything he, and even his Hustler partner, has has been handed to them. It has not been handed by the delicate balance we common folk try to maintain so that we make a living without harming each other. As a Kenyatta, especially one born after the war, Uhuru has lived a sheltered and privileged life. His elder step brother was already a man when the war began, and he eventually joined the gulags as an interrogator, with blessings from the old man. His sister was the first female mayor of Nairobi until her dad got her another job (she was voted out by the Murang’a cabal, for a man who proceeded to begin Kenya’s unending story of collapsing banks), and his mother, also born into privilege, has decided that her legacy will be the wealth of her family. She, and the family she heads, only want this country for what’s its worth.

There’s no difference between Uhuru Kenyatta the man and Uhuru Kenyatta the presidency. In the Kenyatta clan, these came as a package. He has never had to be a human being with no family name, no family wealth, no connections, no privilege, no empty fridge, no fridge at all, no electricity, no random bullets flying around. That reality, which most of us have lived, is as foreign to him as his lack of self-awareness of it is to us. He lost his first job interview for a public interview in 1997 not because his ideas didn’t make sense, but because he had that Kenyatta name. His rival brilliantly kidnapped himself to remind the electorate that if the old dynasty got one foot back into power, it would never let go.

In this clan from Ichaweri, we are an idea. We don’t exist. Jomo the man made sure of that, by dragging a family that was suspicious of his heritage into his own looting spree. Jomo the man believed he was a king, and acted like one, and refused to build a nation. He maintained the state as it had been, only changing the skin color of office holders. He made it illegal to be broke, and gifted himself more than handsomely for simple things like travelling to resettle landless people. He, like his son after him, actually became an adult in office. And this is our problem. Or at least one of many.

In fact, even after producing two of our presidents, the first female mayor of Nairobi, and owning a large chunk of the country and its future, we don’t know enough about the entire Kenyatta Clan. We wouldn’t even know if the houses we rent or the things we buy somehow make them money. Right now, on a laptop and online and with a word processor begging me to stop, I could be making Ichaweri money and I would never know. If the Kenyatta Clan are not to be our eternal dynasty, the relatives who have our country’s name in their name to remind us they own us and not the other way round, then something must give.

There is only one biography on Uhuru Kenyatta, and very few articles that actually question the man’s thinking. There’s no knowledge about the man an overwhelming majority of this country decided should run this ship (this is sarcasm, if you hadn’t noticed). And he has not only failed, he has reminded us that the entire political class is a self-serving mess. It is putting on a show to keep us distracted, in a time when we have TVs and Netflix for exactly that. We need to eat. We need to take our kids to school. We need to not fear dying in Nairobi because we are young men and women. We need to go home and know we won’t be touched inappropriately, and then get home, or into the bus, or into the cab, and find we are being touched inappropriately by the government.

At some point, this stupidity needs to stop. Just because its happening almost everywhere in Black Africa does not mean its normal. We are law-abiding, tax-paying, living citizens. Before we are black or Kenyan, we are living human beings. And even if you believe in an afterlife, somewhere inside you you must entertain the fact that this is it. That there’s nothing beyond this. No better life. That if this one doesn’t work, there’s no doing it again. That the same way you have broken up with people who treated you badly, you must see this country, and the man who runs it, as your abuser. A daily threat to your mental and physical health. That every day of silence and servitude is an act of consent.

China is not the problem. And this is a surprise coming from me because I have written quite a bit on Chinese racism and economic conquest. China is an empire on a journey others have taken before. It is following the natural progression of history, to win at home, and then seek others to rule and take your excess and give you raw materials. In fact, if you had forgotten, that is exactly how we became a country. That empire fell too, and now its on its knees, blinded by its own inability to cope with its loss of power. China will fall too, someday. We will never be an empire, that’s clear, and even the point of being a functional country exists more on paper than it does in our lives.

If Zambia and Sri Lanka don’t suffice as examples about what it means to mortgage a country, then nothing ever will. In the next decade, many other nations will have to bow to China’s predatory debt conquest. Black people will remain at the bottom of every racial hierarchy that exists because, to rephrase a Katt Williams joke, we are willing to let the driver get lost even when we know he’s lost. We are more worried about losing face or being rude than about the physical and mental anguish that will follow when it crashes.

When you think about it, none of Kenya’s top three politicians experienced the ‘90s the way almost everyone did. Uhuru Kenyatta was still rich, and doing things we know nothing about, until he was forced into an election he lost. Losing turned out to have been the plan all along, because the rebel son would eventually become the greatest defender of the family kitty. William Ruto was far from selling chicken, and when you read any story on his rise, you realise he began making money when no one else in the country was.

At the time, the country was being robbed dry by the president, and a 25-year-old from Mombasa, and a spy chief from Limuru. And anyone else who could. Ruto was a small cog in a wheel we have never broken, that only exists to serve itself. Raila Odinga was finally an MP, in the same Parliament as his father, and the darkness of the ‘80s must have begun fading. Anyone else you could mention for the 2022 elections, which are meant to be the harbinger of a better Kenya, at least among eternal optimists, made it in these years. Or just before. They do not know suffering, and they do not care. They don’t need to. We don’t ask it of them.

If this was a nation, then there would be love and fear. Not our well-deserved apathy. Not our desire to maintain status quo even when it’s clear we are losing our money and our minds. To love this country is to die a slow death, because if it wasn’t China this time, it would be someone else. If it wasn’t Uhuru Kenyatta, someone would still have sold the country. Signed on the dotted line in pages written in Mandarin with diabolically-terrible English translations, as if our initial conqueror’s language is not one of the things that connects us now. As if we need to learn the language of our new conquerors while handing them the keys to the city, the freedom of future generations, and our endless loyalty to funding a corrupt and thieving political class through taxes, debt, and the meh.

If you leave the house today, everyone you meet will tell you just how bad things are getting. If you are a realist, you should probably tell them that if this was a story, we wouldn’t even be anywhere near the climax. That things will get worse because on paper, we owe money we didn’t need to borrow, that a select few wasted and stole, and that we, our kids, and any one who makes the mistake of becoming a Kenyan citizen, will pay for. That Kenya today is not the result of some random chance. Or even weather. Or a thief. It is us walking in the dark towards our worst possible present and future. Seeing just how far down any rabbit hole we can go in a lifetime. Elections are an impossible choice when your political class is made up of actors and actresses who fake fights publicly and then take bribes through glory holes in the toilet. Who kill Sharon Otieno and somehow the story becomes about a big man eating sukuma wiki and sleeping in a cell.

The man who sold this country didn’t do it because he actually cared about the job he wanted. He did it for almost every other reason, and in 2013 he realised it, momentarily, and tried to back out. He had shown us his perspective when years before, he switched from the opposition like he had been playing in a friendly match in the village all along. When he stood in front of cameras and blamed the Devil and his clergy of demons, we should have seen the resignation into the most important job we have. The one job we have to actually be something other than a short-lived idea in the sands of time.

To be a young woman in this country is to be forgotten, to be harrased, molested, and misused. It is to die because you refused to have an abortion, or because you had one. To be a young man in this country is to be broke, hurt, silenced, and just waiting to be arrested for literally anything in the book, past or present. To be alive, young, ambitious, and hungry in Kenya today is to set yourself up for lifelong mental health complications. To have the optimism of youth is to be stupid, because by the times things get even remotely better, bones will hurt and we will still owe someone else money for things we didn’t actually need. Then we will tell our kids that actually, our prime years were not as bad as the history books say. We were alive, at least, and we still worshipped a deity who needed money whose source he didn’t care about, and we survived.

To be a human being in this country is to forget how to be alive. It is to be robbed of your childhood long before two people meet and agree to engage in sexual congress. It is to wake up one morning, as a sleepy child fresh out of the uterus, owing money, trying not to get killed, and hoping you don’t have to learn that you, and the government, killed your mother. There’s simply no childhood in Kenya, and so there’s no adulthood. Everything feels violated, and us with it.

We have convinced ourselves that this is normal, that in any story there are twists and turns. But it’s not true. A story is essentially a series of decisions, and ours are unfortunate and reckless ones that one learns about during a vicious hangover. But what can we do, we all ask? Tell us what to do, everyone who cares enough to point out that this is an abusive relationship is told. We have resigned to a fate worse than being an adult in a 2 year old’s body. Where we do not trust our own instincts and reactions because we have been told that no matter what happens, no matter what kind of starvation we suffer, we will somehow survive long enough to die a disappointing death. Like Alex Madaga, who died in an ambulance because Kenya is held together by capitalism and nothing else. That the only thing that must survive is the state, by all means. Preferably run by someone from the mountain, his qualifications for the job notwithstanding.

***

We are not even like this in our daily lives. Matatu drivers get beaten all the time for driving badly or doing stupid shit on the road. We walk out of restaurants that give us bad service. We fight each other in bars over disrespect. We fight each other in church over money. We burn thieves publicly even when they’ve stolen a chicken to feed their families. In our daily lives, we denounce mediocrity. But with the state, we accept it in its most rotten form. Who are we really, that we can let a minority run this country aground while just sitting quiet in the back seat, talking among ourselves.

My point is, there’s a difference between the Kenya on the ground and the one that we have agreed is a country. We are not bringing ourselves to the story of the nation, and we have not only accepted mediocre rule for far too long, we have actually defended the very same political class that continuously gives us reason not to. It might never end, actually. It is a real possibility that when the nation called Kenya eventually dies, as it will inevitably, the story of its people will not exist. It will not only not have been told, it will not have been lived. Not by its people, its animals, its land, its laws, or even its own hallucinations about itself. We are a nation actively committing suicide, and the sad part of it is that we are not only in the room, we are the ones tying the rope around our own necks.

We can process any trauma so seamlessly that no one would ever know we weren’t okay. Even we don’t. Everything that’s happening to us is as strange as it would be if it was happening to anyone else, but we are eternal optimists. We are competitive with our neighbors even when they actually aren’t. When their wars are far greater than their regional fight with a nation called Kenya. We use it to tell us ourselves we are better than everyone else around us, as if the economy is the beginning of the human experience, because it helps us sleep at night. We get angry, we work hard, we get paid, we pay taxes, we pay more than we should for everything, we budget for corruption, we teach our kids to live with our trauma, and then we die.

That’s how this story ends, where we all die and then this idea of a country dies, or dies before. But we are in this story now, we are in the paragraphs, either as loud commentators or as subservient slaves. I am actually not as worried about our debt to China as I am about our psyche as a nation. We are broken, and we don’t know it. As individuals and as a collective. We carry trauma that has nothing to do with our personal experience, and we see our experience through it. We refuse to learn, even when we accept knowledge as a vital part of our experience. We refuse to be afraid of the fact that the one thing that connects us is shortlived, and what will remain is not Kenya as a country, but its people. We are brave and strong, but we also willing to let the car crash because it’s bad manners to tell the driver he’s drunk, and driving us into a ditch. We were raised well, and authority can never be questioned, even when it’s actively doing the wrong thing.

If you are even a half-interested student of history, then you already know how this story goes. Soon, we will be distracted with shenanigans that do not bring our cost of living down or fix our economy or society. There will be a lot of God in our lives, and fake political and social contests, and Ezekiel Mutua, and downright bullshit. There will be handouts to anyone competent enough to host a Harambee, and an underlying hope that someday, maybe soon, things will improve by themselves. They won’t.

Like his father, Uhuru Kenyatta is the least experienced president we have had. In fact, the only thing his father has on him was age and prison, although he almost caught up on the latter. Otherwise, the two of them were untried and untested for the job of their presidency. They hadn’t even had to run their own households, or struggle to fight for a position. Everything was handed to them like ripe bananas from a farm, ready to be peeled, eaten, and forgotten. Used to simply satisfy whatever hunger they felt that day. The two presidents between them had that experience, although they processed it in different ways. One used his experience to build a legacy of corruption and every possible crime possible of an individual and a government. He also got worried he wouldn’t survive, so he actively sought and taught others how to, and they are now in charge of the nation.

The other one did the same, but he was an academic who had spent nearly a decade fighting off IMF and trying to balance the books in a country running on fumes and autocracy. He decided to go the senile way, choosing not to seek longterm prosperity as to act as if his decisions were independent of the constructs of time and space.

***

Kenya did not have a Lunatic Express. It is the Lunatic Express. We are a slow, rickety, rusty, badly run and maintained train. The space between cabins is small, but we are in silos with the only common thing being that we are all on the train. We have gone off the rails several times, and killed people while at it, but somehow we still run. Until the day we won’t.

We are the train that follows. Promised it would be faster, cheaper, and more comfortable. But on the train ride you kinda miss the adventures of the old mess, rickety as it was. Then you realise it is just a well-painted version of the old train. Your work here is to pay for tickets.

We have normalised nonsense, and our own misery, and this needs to stop. We are the adults now, sadly.

Owaahh, 2018.

till Another is told.

Murder Suspect Joe Irungu Powerful Connection Inside Statehouse Scares DCI Detectives, Neighbours, Friends And ‘Lovers’ To Speak Out !

Murders Suspect Joseph Kuria Irungu aka Jowie was in the process of firming up his own security company which he claimed specialized in VIP protection and “special projects”

The man being held by the police over the murder of Monica Kimani was a private security agent for sections of Jubilee party honchos in the run up to last year’s general elections.

“We all knew he was part of the Special Forces because he was ever present, that is how he met Jacque Maribe who also embedded in the Jubilee campaigns reporting for Citizen TV on location” a journalist extensively covered Jubilee with Maribe during the elections has confided to us.

In Buruburu estate where we have also reliably established that Irungu lives, those who know him say he has been presenting himself as one of the presidential guards.

So well-known is Joseph Kuria Irungu within high Jubilee political circles that detectives investigating Nyawira’s murder are struggling to make a breakthrough in the case despite having presented the suspect in court.

Among the stumbling blocks in solving Monica’s murder is a visit by state officials to the police station where Irungu was first held demanding for his release.

Two groups of mercenaries from abroad are also said to have pitched camp in the country and are working round the clock to prevent Irungu, a trained mercenary, from spilling the beans.

Having trained as a mercenary in Afghanistan the key suspect in Nyawira’s murder was in the process of firming up his own security company which he claimed specialized in close protection, VIP protection, executive protection and “special projects.”

In an Instagram post, Irungu claimed his company had offices in the UK and the United Arab Emirates. “Our highly qualified and exceptionally trained personnel meet our individual client needs. We also recognize that each client and their requirements are different,” said Irungu.

During last year’s elections, former Taita Taveta Women Representative Joyce Lay procured the services of Irungu as a bodyguard when she combed the expansive county gunning for Senator position.

So feared is the man that no one wants to talk about him that several sources including his neighbour in Buru Buru phase two agreed to show us Irungu’s house only to develop cold feet at the last minute. He is said to be presenting himself as one of the elite presidential guard- Recce squard

Mechanics who have been repairing his cars also went under despite the fact that we had been informed that they know where he lives.
“I moved away from that house so I cannot remember Irungu’s exact house. Actually no one here wants to talk about him. It’s too dangerous,” said the neighbour.

In an interesting incident that took place at the garages in Buruburu phase 5 last year, Irungu was so enraged by a boda boda driver who had hit a black Toyota Prado he was driving that he handcuffed the man and took him to a police station. He impounded the motorcycle and had it locked at a primary school for almost 10 months.

Such is the power that the man wielded that it wasn’t surprising when it was reported that he had told the police that the murder probe will hit a dead end. TV Journalist Jackie Maribe yesterday went back to Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Kiambu road for further interrogation after she presented herself to the police on Thursday accompany by her parents.

But it is the murder suspect’s coziness with Nairobi’s celebrities that sold him out. The man was a household name in at least two Nairobi uptown drink joints frequented by who is who in the country.

However although Ms Maribe told the police that he knew Irungu in January this year, the Saturday Standard understands that the two knew each other at around June last year. Irungu by then had become a common face in the Jubilee presidential elections same as Maribe.

Close friends to Maribe who were in his company on Thursday night at Kiu Lounge, off Dennis Pritt confided in the Standard that there was an altercation between the two love birds.

“Joe joined Jackie and her friends at the club. Jackie made some comments which didn’t go down well with Joe. She ordered him to hand over her cars keys and ATM in front of her friends. Joe protested before them,” said a friend who didn’t want to be quoted.

Musalia Mudavadi Is DP Ruto Latest Nightmare, Hon Duale Leads Attack Dogs

PRESS RELEASE

28 September 2018

Aden Duale is an embarrassment to leadership in Kenya

1. We are deeply embarrassed by irresponsible and actionable utterances that have recently been published by the Leader of the Majority in the National Assembly, Hon. Aden Duale, at a public gathering, regarding the ANC Party Leader, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, EGH. While addressing the gathering that was also attended by Deputy President, William Ruto, Hon. Duale made appalling remarks – as carried in a section of the media – maliciously linking Hon. Mudavadi to the Goldenberg heist of the early 1990s. Mr. Duale stated categorically that Hon. Mudavadi had “stolen money from Kenyans” and he was “the biggest thief” in the history of Kenya’s National Treasury.

2. Beyond their defamatory nature, these are very unfortunate remarks, coming as they do from a holder of a very senior public office. Mr. Duale’s position casts him in the role of someone who is expected to be a role model to many. Both the people who are already in lesser leadership roles and those who aspire to lead in the future look upon people like Mr. Duale to set good examples that they can emulate. It is, therefore, regrettable to see Mr. Duale uttering words that he obviously knows to be untrue and, in the processes, damage another leader’s character.

3. Mr. Duale’s outburst was sparked by Hon. Mudavadi’s criticism of the performance of the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the National Treasury, Mr. Henry Rotich. Under Mr. Rotich’s watch, the national economy has stumbled from one blunder to another. Everybody knows this. The sum total of these blunders has left the country with a staggering national debt of Sh 5.1 trillion. This is unprecedented. It is likely that by the time this government leaves office in 2022, the national debt will be anywhere close to – or even beyond – Sh 10 trillion, with those in charge having no clue of how to heal the debt.

4. The Jubilee Government is selling Kenyans into slavery. This government has signed off international covenants that have placed national assets at risk, in the event that we are unable to meet our debt obligations. We cannot keep quiet when our country is being mortgaged to foreigners. Nor can we keep quiet when the borrowed money is not properly accounted for. We refuse to be silenced. Our country and its future are bigger than any political formation and the cronyism that informs it. As a party, therefore, we stand firmly with Hon. Mudavadi and with his informed sentiments on the ailing national economy and the limping leaders behind it.

5. We are scandalized that only last week, Hon. Duale led a detachment of Jubilee legislators out of the chamber of the National Assembly at a time when a critical decision was about to be made on the Finance Bill. Equally scandalous is that Hon. Duale took pride in this infamy and openly bragged about it before TV cameras. We must cry for Kenya.

6. For avoidance of doubt, let us be very emphatic that the country’s leadership has fallen to the lowest ebb of its fortunes, with people like Mr. Duale occupying critical offices that they abuse with abandon. We look forward to the day when ANC will close ranks with other progressive Kenyans and restore the dignity of leadership at all levels of government and in institutions across the country.

7. Meanwhile, history already knows that the Goldenberg heist took place under the charge of the late Prof. George Saitoti. This is very well documented in the Samuel Bosire Commission Report, following an enquiry that was undertaken in 2003. The report states very clearly that it was Hon. Mudavadi who clamped down on this matter. Indeed the Bosire Commission Report lauds Hon. Mudavadi for this role. Hon. Duale knows only too well about this and he ought to be embarrassed that as senior national leader he descends to the lowly levels of peddling lies.

8. It is also common knowledge that while his political detractors attempted to link Hon. Mudavadi to the infamous Nairobi City cemetery saga in recent years, investigations into the matter absolved him without any qualification whatsoever. Those responsible were brought to justice. If, Mr. Duale – or any other person in government – knows any reason why Hon. Mudavadi should continue to be infamously linked to the so-called “graveyard affair” they should take the necessary legal action against him. Let them take him to court instead of shouting in the air.

9. It is a lame duck government whose senior officials accuse people of committing crime, when they should be arresting them and taking them to court and jail, instead. But, of course, Hon. Duale and those he serves know that they have no case against Hon. Mudavadi. They, therefore, thrive on peddling unfounded malice against him, for political expediency. This will not deter Hon. Mudavadi or ANC from standing for the truth.

10. Finally, Hon. Mudavadi reserves the right to take legal ac

How Mt. Kenya Mafia Plan To Kick RAILA Out Of Government After He Helps Them Pass The Referendum

At Last! RAILA’s Job In government Is Almost Over
By Albert Nyakundi Amenya aka Banana Peddler

Very soon, Raila Odinga will summon NASA politicians and ask them to go back to their vilages and prepare for war – the war of amending and passing the constitution, just like he did with the 2018 finance bill.

As I said earlier, it is now clear that RAILA ODINGA is about to do what he was brought to do by the Mt. Kenya mafia and go back to opposition. Pass a referenda and be kicked out. Mt. Kenyans know well that for any referendum to see the light of the day, Raila’s input is of paramount importance.

The greatest advantage Mt. Kenya mafia have when they have Raila on their side is that the former Prime Minister has a huge following that obey his orders without asking questions. If he tells them to pass the referendum, they’ll pass it sababu Baba ameshaisoma kwa niaba yao. This includes the literati and politicians.

The problems will start when the referenda passes and Raila is kicked out. When that time comes, his supporters will take it to these streets of Facebook and Twitter and start calling Uhuru and Kikuyus names.

But for now, as long as Baaba is comfortable, all is well with his disciples. For now whatever he wants – including disciplining his political competitors in Luo Nyanza – he will be given on a silver platter. In fact, he is even allowed to command the police and judiciary and order for the detention of whosoever he pleases.

For now, his people can get all the government jobs available. Uhuru will make that happen because he will be the primary beneficiary. He knows Raila will help him retain power as powerful Prime Minister.

Our brothers and sisters from Luo Nyanza are very funny people. They are always excited by stupid big titles. What they forget is that no right thinking Kikuyu will give you anything for free.

All these things Baba is enjoying, he will pay for them someday. After the referendum, you’ll start seeing changes. His chse cars will be withdrawn. His Sh2m salary will be withdrawn. His appointees will be recalled. The country will go back to factory settings. Baba’s keyboard warriors will come back here and start crying together while cursing the government.

But for now, let us hope and pray.

Why Raila Odinga Must Be President Come 2022

By James Omoro for Stanadrd

The Orange Democratic Movement leaders have maintained their resolve to grant Opposition leader Raila Odinga one final shot at the presidency.

Senate Minority Leader James Orengo said the former Prime Minister must be on the ballot in 2022. Speaking at God Bondo village during the burial of former Rangwe MP Joseph Ouma Muga yesterday that was attended by Raila Hon Orengo also said Kenya must undergo constitutional review to introduce parliamentary system of governance. He said Raila had struggled for democracy in Kenya and must be rewarded accordingly. “Raila has fought for multiparty democracy of this country and he is the person who can liberate Kenyans from economic problems facing us,” said Orengo.

The Senate Minority Leader said the Constitution was to blame for the government’s excessive borrowing and should be amended. “We must undertake constitutional review to enable us have the parliamentary system. The country has undergone a lot of tribulations which can only be done away with through constitutional reforms,” said Orengo.

The Siaya Senator also warned an unnamed senior government official against interfering with the truce between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta. His comments were supported by Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga, MPs Lilian Gogo (Rangwe), Ong’ondo Were (Kasipul), Adipo Okuome (Karachuonyo) and Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang’.

Hon Wanga said the constitutional change will lead to creation of policies which can enhance economic well-being of Kenyans. Hon Gogo urged Kenyans not to give up the fight for a better Constitution. “Let our supporters not get tired because Raila must become president. We must also be ready for the change in our constitutional change that can improve livelihood of the common man,” said Gogo.

However, Raila steered clear of the 2022 succession politics and urged Kenyans to help steer development. He promised to use the truce to fight corruption in the Government. The opposition leader called on the Government to reduce borrowing so that Kenya can tackle the debt owed to foreign countries. “I realised that Kenya was borrowing funds from other countries but a few selfish leaders were stealing them. I will use the handshake to advise the Government to reduce the borrowing to avoid making life more unbearable to Kenyans,” said Raila.

SHOCK: After Killing Sharon, the Plan Was To KILL Five Others To Cover Up- DCI Reveals

By Hundson Ngumbihi for the STD

Sharon Otieno, the slain lover of Migori Governor Okoth Obado, was not meant to die alone. The campus student and mother of three was to die with more than three others, we can now reveal. The Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss George Kinoti says plotters of Sharon’s murder had planned to kill some of those involved in the murder to cover up the crime.

Kinoti told The Standard that, “Between three to five people who knew about Sharon’s murder were to be killed. Luckily, we uncovered the conspiracy.” Governor Obado is one of the suspects who has been arraigned in court over the murder.

At least six people have been linked to the gruesome murder of the former Rongo University student, who was seven months pregnant with Obado’s baby at the time of her killing. Besides Obado, his aides at the county, Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero; bodyguard Elvis Omondi; taxi driver Jack Gombe and former Kanyadoto MCA Lawrence Mula, have also been charged with the murder. Three other suspects are still at large.

According to Kinoti, after Sharon’s killing, the next step was to eliminate some of those involved. But since her execution involved many parties, the case might be easier to solve, because, according to Kinoti, “there is no mystery in a murder involving many people. A murder case that is complex to crack is often the one that involves only one individual.”

Mobile phone data helped police to link the suspects to the murder after Sharon’s body was found on September 4, a day after she was abducted alongside journalist Barack Oduor. Call logs from one of the suspects indicated that he was in Kisii town on the night Sharon was abducted. The suspect allegedly drove to the scene then left Sharon in the hands of her killers.

There are claims that a taxi driver turned witness, drove to Oyugis Police Station and informed officers about what he had seen. He is said to have recorded a statement, though the OCS James Magiri could not corroborate the claims.

“The matter was being handled by officers from the homicide unit who camped here. I don’t know if an informer gave them such information,” said Magiri. Kinoti was also non-committal, only saying that: “I can neither deny nor confirm. Maybe such information will come out in the course of ongoing investigations.”

A reliable source said the other option by the plotters was to throw investigators off track by directing the blame elsewhere. “A theory had started developing that the murder was planned by a certain individual. That is the direction they wanted to lead everybody,” the source intimated.

Late Monica Kimani Was A Slay Queen In Juba, Family Lied About Her Wealth And Boyfriend

The family of the late Monica Kimani through her father Bishop Ngarama and Brother George Thiru may have told half truths about Monica. In an interview with People daily they gave information that doesn’t seem to add up:

Sample these:

Monica was a CEO of a big company in South Sudan: This is a pure lie, for no single employee has come forward to condole with the family or say something about their boss. What is the name of the company? Does the company have offices? well those who have run companies know that by the time you make good money to move from Kayole, to Umoja, to Zimmerman then Langata and cruise to Kilimani you must have been well established with a local office and a Juba office. No multi-milionare trades on mobile phone alone

George Thiru said: Monica had a boyfriend called Yassin Mohammed: Well, the boyfriend would have attended the requiem mass yesterday or at least recited poems to media.

George Thiru said: Jowi pursued my sister but she rejected him, they were only just friends>>> well, its now emerging that two had an affair, a sexual affair albeit chini ya maji

George Thiru said: I schooled with Irungu aka Jowi at Kenya Poly where we pursued a certificate in hotel catering ; >>> well, I thought he had earlier said Jowi schooled with Monica in 2012 and that Monica did a diploma in public relations before she went to South Sudan

Well, it is now emerging that Monica had a clandestine affair with South Sudan Deputy speaker Hon Awet Okot who bankrolled her.

Monica worked at the Kenya embassy in Juba as a receptionist as a locally contracted staff (not sent from Nairobi/not expert send from Nairobi but recruited as a local Juba resident earning local salary rates), its suspected that around that time is when she met the speaker and smiled, the rest is history.

Let it be known that most businesses are struggling in South Sudan and many have closed down since 2016 when war broke out. Bug businesses are not spared, there is no way Monica will have made clean millions in Juba with a short period of time to buy 30million worth of an apartment, afford holidays in Dubai and drive V8s around.

It is obvious the family knew where the money was coming from BUT since they are in the business of teaching religion they chose to stick with the clean side of the story dishing out largely false narratives.

May God comfort the family

EXPOSED: What TV Anchor Jacque Maribe Told Police About Jowi; Gun, Met in a Club

Television journalist Jacque Maribe presented herself to police yesterday in an attempt to clear her name in the ongoing probe into the murder of Monicah Nyawira Kimani.

Ms Maribe, who was accompanied by her parents and lawyer Katwa Kigen, was interrogated for almost one hour at the Kilimani Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices before she was referred to the DCI headquarters on Kiambu Road.

Maribe told police she was in shock and had sought refuge at her parents’ house after learning that her fiancé, Joseph Kuria Irungu, was being linked to the September 19 murder of Ms Monica Kimani.

Kimani’s body was found in a bathtub in her Kilimani apartment, with her throat slit. Maribe told police she did not know Kimani, adding that she had even read the news of her death the night it happened.

According to police, Maribe said Mr Irungu had not informed her of what had happened. She also told police she had once seen Irungu with a gun in her house but had not seen it again after she warned him not to keep it in the house.

Several issues

The gun’s ownership was one of several issues police wanted Maribe to clarify. She told police she and Irungu met in a city club early this year. They fell in love and he later asked her to marry him.

She added that Irungu often used her car and would drop her at work and pick her up. When police went to pick up Irungu from the couple’s Royal Park estate home in Lang’ata, the two were in the house. Police later searched the house and recovered a live bullet, which has since been taken for ballistic tests.

Detectives also believe Irungu was in illegal possession of the pistol that Maribe saw, but are yet to trace it. Then there is the mystery of where Irungu lives away from Maribe’s house. The detectives also said they were yet to recover his identification documents, including his passport.

Maribe told police that on September 21, Irungu arrived at her house and said he had been shot and injured. She then drove him to different hospitals seeking medical attention.

The journalist’s car, a silver Toyota Allion, was yesterday dusted for fingerprints by detectives from the homicide unit. The officers said they found bloodstains in the car as well as hoes, beer cans, a weave and clothes. The team also searched Kimani’s apartment in Lamuria Gardens off Dennis Pritt Road and carried away a number of samples for testing and analysis. But the officers are yet to recover the clothes Irungu was wearing when he says he was shot in the chest. They have also not recovered the ‘kanzu’ he was wearing when he was spotted in Kimani’s apartment.

After the alleged shooting, Maribe and Irungu told police they went to Nairobi West, Lang’ata and Kijabe Mission hospitals. But they also gave contradictory statements on the shooting – they initially said the attack happened in the house but later said it was outside. It is not clear whether Maribe stuck to her initial story yesterday because she was still with detectives until late evening.

Three men

Irungu is said to have told police he had arrived at the estate at about 1.30am on September 21 in the company of Maribe when he spotted three men standing outside their gate. He entered the house but left to go and check why the strangers were hanging around.

Irungu told police that one of the men shot him in the left side of the chest before fleeing on a motorbike. They did not steal anything from him. He returned to the house and told Maribe what had happened. But police say preliminary findings show no shooting was reported at the scene. Guards and neighbours interviewed told police they did not hear a gunshot. Maribe also told police she did not hear any gunshots. Police are also waiting for a medical report to establish if Irungu’s injury was caused by a bullet.

There Is Reason Behind Raila Support for 8% VAT, He Is a Consistent Panel Beater of Vehicle Kenya.

Raila Odinga; a Consistent Panel Beater of Vehicle Kenya.

1. By 1990s, Vehicle Kenya had one major dent: the historical Luo/GEMA hostility. It served Moi well. Moi took advantage of it and perpetuated his leadership. Raila, the panel beater, hammered the wounded Luo to support his endorsement of Matiba for president to cure the national fracture and save the nation from Moi. Their partnership was called “Solidarity Alliance.” Matiba failed him by refusing to run for president in the 1997 polls. The Gema refused to appreciate Raila’s gesture when he ran for president in Matiba’s stead.

2. 2002. Once again he hammered all communities together singlehandedly under Kibaki. The subsequent inclusive government gave us a taste of the fruits of a united people. Raila was a panel beater in this grand initiative that the coalition’s flag bearer betrayed once he occupied the seat of power.

3. 2007. Raila’s Moment to finalize project united Kenya came when he won the election. Indeed, the vehicle was fully panel beaten, ready for spraying. He would preside over it himself. The devil refused to hand over delaying and finally derailing the execution of the project.

4. 2013 and beyond, Mount Kenya has continuously betrayed the nation and played selfish, this time enjoying partnership with a huge section of the Kalenjin nation. The dents on the vehicle obviously worsened. For the first time the nation was facing secession as a viable option.

5. 2018, Kenya as a massively dented vehicle needed commensurately massive panel beating which in our context is exerting the full force of the consequences of criminal governance for the nation to rediscover itself. We may just act as a united entity as was demonstrated in parliament when shared economic pain brought all the leaders together regardless of their ethnic affiliation.

6. Two more years of “uhurutonomics” and we as a people will unite to save ourselves from the enemies we all know.

7. By the way, Raila can never run out of bullets. He manufactures them

Jacque Maribe Comes Out Of Hiding, Exposes His Fiance Jowi to DCI, As lover Itumbi Cheered her on

Citizen TV anchor Jacque Maribe resurfaced today after more than 24hours of hiding and presented herself to the police for questioning over the murder of Minica Kimani.

Monica, the 29-year-old businessman was found murdered in her apartment in Kilimani. Her body was in the bathroom with a slit neck.

Ms Maribe presented herself to DCI officers at Kilimani police station today Thursday.

She became a person of interest after her car was allegedly used on the night of Monica’s death and that he lived with the chief suspect Joe Jowi Irungu for three months.

Her fiancé Joseph Irungu who has been arrested in connection to the murder was driving the Toyota Allion.

The vehicle was today dusted by forensic experts in search of any incriminating evidence that will link Jowi to the murder of Monica Kimani

The 28-year-old businessman was found murdered in her apartment in Kilimani. He body was in the bathroom with a slit neck.

George Thiru, a brother to the slain woman revealed that despite having a boyfriend, his sister and the suspect Joe Irungu/Jowi were mutual friends and first met on social media but their friendship only lasted for less than a year (friends with benefits?)

“The two were mutual friends and only met on Facebook and Instagram. There was nothing close; Irungu admired my sister but she did not take it seriously since she had a boyfriend (Yasir Mohammed) who lives in Khartoum,” said Kimani.

George Thiru revealed that he schooled with the suspect at Kenya Polytechnic University in the year 2012 where they studied certificate in food and beverages but has never met him since.

According to the police statement, Irungu alias Joe Jowi spotted three men on a motorcycle while dropping off Maribe at her house.

Irungu then decided to drive back to ask the three men what they were doing.

“He dropped off his wife in the house and drove back to inquire what they were doing and in the process, one drew a pistol and shot him,” part of the police statement read.

Irungu said he was taken to Nairobi West Hospital for treatment.

“The thugs escaped without stealing anything,” the statement said.

On Wednesday, the court ruled that Irungu be remanded at Muthaiga police station for 10 days.

Meanwhile Ms Maribe’s ex-lover Dennis Itumbi seemed to cheer her on to fix Jowi, in an detailed Facebook post, Itumbi confirmed he had spoken to Ms Maribe and she had committed to tell the police all that she knows.

He is Itumbi’s post:

By Dennis Itumbi
Let me comment on the issues facing my good friend Jacque Maribe

I have spoken to her and she will obviously tell her story to the police. She will tell her story.

I have not asked for details, those details belong to detectives am sure she will narrate what she knows and is sure about.

From where I sit Jacque fell in love with a guy that connected with her whole being.

Their love did not start with the proposal. It has been a journey of love and affection.

It is a story of genuine love, at least from the eyes of friends.

We all fall in love with strangers and as we grow in the connection we learn each other.

We learn each other strengths and weaknesses, we draw our boundaries, we try to strengthen each other.

If she does not keep time, you teach her with consentual reward and punishment. If he prefers to throw his socks everywhere you develop a way to end the bachelor thrill with a similar scheme, sometimes it works, sometimes it fails…but love remains and grows from challenge to the next.

We know the drill. Love connects a heart to another, it sets on fire a soul to another human flame.

There is nothing wrong about falling in love and expecting excellence to ooze from the star that twinkles for us even when the night is long gone.

Jacque, in my view is the reflection of a girl next door, who is in love. What perfection and satisfaction to feel like you are a part of another being. To have inner wings that you flap in awesomeness because your emotions are on a high only described by a combination of adjectives.

Maybe love is somehow demonstrated by the soft wind that blows as a beautiful flower blossoms right before your eyes, petal after petal stretching its spectacular innocence to embrace the golden rays of the yellow sun. What brightness!

What is wrong with love? Nothing. Loving someone and offering your entire life, body and spirit to them unconditionally, is the highest form of human sacrifice.

Having spoken to her, I am convinced she will tell her story of love to the police in detail. For like you and me we all have our stories, some more intense than even hers.

As friends, we can only pray for her.

May God, Love and Truth be her guide.

********

To the family of Monica, all I can say, is God strech his hand and comfort you.

I am certain the DCI will provide the answers and whoever committed the crime will certainly face Justice in the fullness of time.

To us all apply that test before your update, stories or comments

1. Is it necessary?

2. Is it true?

3. Is it Kind?

4. Does it add value?
