REVEALED: How Lawyers have been defrauding Sony Sugar of millions

Kenya’s Sugar Industry has been embroiled with problems that are currently threatening the death of Major Sugar millers.

Mumias Sugar, Nzoia Sugar and Sony Sugar have been facing different problems, both of which have either killed, or are almost killing the millers.

Two lawyers are reported to be under investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for allegedly defrauding Sony Sugar Company millions of shillings through court cases.

The lawyers, whose names are yet to be revealed for investigation purposes, are accused of faking documents and using them in court to initiate court cases against the company.

According to Migori DCI Director Njiru Nyaga, the lawyers have been representing farmers whose contracts for cane harvesting were allegedly breached by the sugar company without their (farmers’) knowledge using the fake documents and have been winning millions of money against the company.

The DCI pointed out that some of the said cases involve farmers who died several years back, adding that once investigations are complete the duo will be arraigned.

Mr. Njiru further said they will also be investigating more lawyers over the loss of millions of money from Sony Sugar Company through fraud.

Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamitta, who spoke to a local Radio Station last week, urged the government to investigate and arrest all lawyers who siphoned millions of money from Sony Sugar Company using fake documents.

Oburu Odinga accuses Jakoyo Midiwo of plotting theft of his chickens in their homestead in Bondo

As the country continues to marvel at how 10 grades of eggs found it’s way out of Dp Ruto’s well-guarded poultry farm in Sugoi, former prime minister’s elder brother Oburu Odinga has also waded into the ‘poultry theft’ controversies.

Oburu Odinga has now accused Jakoyo Midiwo over his lost chickens in their homestead in Bondo. Last year thieves broke into East African Legislative Assembly lawmaker Oburu Odinga’s home and stole more than a thousand chicken in his poultry yard.

The burglars were said to be operating in Bondo, raising the rate of insecurity in the town, Oburu now asserts that they were hired by Jakoyo Midiwo. Oburu said that last year the thugs butchered an innocent man – who was his own farm attendant – and dumped his body at a nearby dam, meaning there is something sinister he is not understanding.

The lawmaker has called for an overhaul of the security system in Bondo sub-county, adding some police officers have overstayed and “outlived their usefulness”.

“Bondo is endowed with all manner of security personnel, yet these murders and the worrying security trends increase every other day,” he said. Oburu, who is the elder brother of Opposition leader Raila Odinga also criticized the police for harassing boda-boda operators in the ongoing crackdown to restore sanity on the roads.

Why Kalenjin Elders have failed to Reconcile ego-centred Ruto, Gideon Moi

On Tuesday, the powerful Kalenjin Council of Elders threw in the towel and concluded that it’s impossible to reconcile its two sons, Deputy President Dr William Ruto and KANU Party leader Gideon Moi.

The elders known as Myoot Kalenjin Council says they have been unable to broker a deal and blamed what they termed ‘the battle of egos between Ruto and Gideon’.

The elders led by chairman Paul Leleito have been trying to unite the two leaders in a bid to rally the community’s vote in 2022. Splitting the Rift Valley vote could spell defeat at the polls.

But an ugly supremacy battle played out between the two politicians following the death of Jonathan Moi, Gideon’s elder brother, a fortnight ago.

This left mediators pondering what to do.

Leleito now warns that Ruto and Gideon’s presidential bids in 2022 are in jeopardy if the community remains divided.

“We had good intentions of having our leaders and people united… We only wanted them [Ruto and Gideon] to listen to our calls and advice. They refused,” Leleito said.

He expressed regret that the two have largely snubbed their summons.

Bett said he also had given up on convincing the two to work together.

Bett, who served as State House Comptroller during the Moi administration, said he has personally tried numerous times to unite the two, or at least have them call a truce.

“Both are full of ego,” Bett told a local Daily. “I have been on that journey, I started in 2014 trying to talk to them but I could not make any breakthrough. Self-centredness, ego and hardlines took centre stage and that is why you see this bad blood between the two.”

Humiliation For SAKAJA As Court Dismisses Petition That compels Sonko to appoint deputy

By Protus Momanyi

NAIROBI, Kenya, Apr 30 – The High Court has torn apart and dismissed a SAKAJA-SPONSORED petition that sought to compel Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to appoint a deputy.

Justice Wilfridah Okwany ruled that the petition filed by John Waigi Migwi has not raised serious issues for determination by the court.

She further said the petitioner ought to have filed the petition before Political Parties Dispute Resolution Tribunal.

The petitioner has sought relief in a blanket fashion without consideration of the operative law has he admits that there is lacuna in the constitution surrounding the appointment” the lawyer said.

Migwi and his sponsors ought to have exhausted the political parties dispute mechanism before approaching the court, Kinyanjui submitted.

Governor Awiti takes leave as MPs demand his res

Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti has delegated his duties to his deputy Hamilton Orata as he takes time off to seek medical care.

The governor, who has been out of the public limelight lately, returned to Kenya two weeks ago after undergoing eye operation in Germany.

His director of press service Juma Aluoch on Tuesday told Journalists that Mr Orata would run the Nyanza county for now.

“All affairs of the county will be run by the deputy governor as it has been since the governor has been unwell,” he said in a phone interview without confirming if Mr Awiti is out of the country.

“There is no cause for alarm and all residents will get relevant services from the county. There is no vacuum.”

Mr Awiti’s absence has sparked speculations on his ability to run the county with local politicians criticising its operations.

The Senator Moses Kajwang’ and Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma have demanded Mr Awiti’s resignation.

The two legislators have decried poor services that the residents have been receiving, with Mr Kaluma accusing the governor’s cabinet of corruption.

“The governor should resign for entertaining corrupt ministers in his government. They have not delivered any meaningful services to residents and there is nothing going on in the county,” said Mr Kaluma in interview with a local daily.

“The governor should resign and we want the national government to take over the county then an election to be held after 90 days. The governor is a total failure and I regret supporting him. Homa Bay is on its death bed and needs urgent measures to be rescued,” he said.

Mr Kaluma denied reports that he plans to run for the top county seat in the 2022 General Election.

EXPOSED! How SAKAJA Connived With Spotpesa Boss To Steal From Nairobi County

Emerging evidence reveals that Senator Sakaja’s company which he co-owns with Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri has been implicated in a tax evasion syndicate totaling to more than Ksh40million.

Appearing before senate committee to respond to audit queries yesterday, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko tabled evidence that shows how Sakaja’s company evaded paying levy and other expenses to the County Government of Nairobi, thus denying the county revenue.

According to the Nairobi boss, Sakaja used his Seven Star Media company that he co-owns with Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri to advertise Sportpesa business for free without remitting the compulsory levy to the County Government.

According to the evidence tabled by the governor, the Sakaja used his position as the Senator of Nairobi to destroy trees and erect more than 1000 poles and billboards in various parts of Nairobi but refused to pay tax to the county.

Sakaja who has been doing business with  Nairobi County against the law in article 175, owes the people of Nairobi more than Sh40million in levy.

It’ll be rembered that it was the same Sakaja who during his days as nominated MP, sponsored a motion that was meant to help the youth get employment in Nairobi County. It isironical that the same person is taking over the same jobs he created.

Below are the documents as tabled by the governor

IEBC Chairman Chebukati clears Raila daughter for swearing in

By Edward Korir for HS

‘Daughters of Raila’ chairperson Irene Mayaka aka Renee Nyakerario has been formally cleared by IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati to be sworn in as a member of the Nyamira County Assembly putting to rest the protracted battle that lasted over a yeae in the courts of law

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, in a letter on Friday, asked Speaker Moffat Teya to swear-in Ms Mayaka following a ruling by Appeals Court in February this year.

“This is to confirm to you that Ms Mayaka has been cleared by relevant authorities. Her swearing-in is now inevitable. All the procedures have been followed,” he said.

Earlier, there were concerns about the delayed return, with Speaker Moffat Teya turning away both Mayaka and Damaris Mouni, the lady who has been serving in the assembly for the position of ODM representative.

In an exclusive interview with the Speaker on Friday, Mr Teya distanced himself from the debacle, adding that he is the one who had written to the IEBC seeking directives.

“The matter has been concluded now. She is officially cleared. I wrote to Chebukati seeking guidance so that we don’t do a mistake like last time. Everything is okay now,” said Teya.

Both the Magistrate and High Court found Ms Mouni guilty of sneaking her name to ODM nominations list without due process, infringing Mayaka’s rights thereof.

Since then, she has survived on several court stay orders but the options seems to have been exhausted after her appeal was rejected by Appeals Court in Kisumu.

Sharon Otieno’s Murder Suspects want Justice Jessie Lessit out of their Case

While Sharon Otieno’s murder might be still fresh in the minds of her parents, two suspects in her murder want Lady Justice Jessie Lessit, who is presiding over the case, to recuse herself.

Ms Otieno, a Rongo University Student was found dead near Kodera Forest in Homa Bay County, two days after she went missing on September 3, 2018.

Michael Oyamo and Caspar Obiero have accused the judge of making prejudicial remarks while declining to release them on bail, a move they claim negated the presumption of innocence accorded to them in the Constitution.

“I do apprehend, and reasonably so, that I shall not be accorded a fair and impartial trial and I request that the case against me be presided over by any judge other than Justice Lessit,” states Mr Oyamo.

In their application, they also say that the trial court acted in a discriminatory manner and in violation of the principle of equality of treatment in applying different standards on different suspects.

“All accused persons applied to be admitted to bail and bond and a decision was made which allowed (Governor) Obado to be released on bail while Caspal Ojwang and myself were denied bail,” added Mr Oyamo.

The application has been certified as urgent and will be allocated a new Judge to hear it.

Mr Mr Oyamo and Mr Mr Obiero are charged alongside Governor Obado for the murder of Ms Otieno and her unborn baby.

The hearing of the murder case starts in May as the prosecution lines up over 30 witnesses to testify during the trial.

SONKO Is Smarter, Always Armed with A ‘Tsunami of Facts In His Fingertips’

By Levy Onguti

Renowned political scientist professor MUTAI NGUNYI says the current Nairobi governor MIKE MBUVI SONKO is way smarter compared to other governors.

Speaking yesterday after the grilling of Governor Sonko by the senate committee over the alleged wastage of funds in City Hall, Ngunyi said Governor Sonko proves to be the smartest governor of all.

He warned whoever plans to bring governor Sonko to task in future over anything to trade carefully and ensure they have sufficient evidence before summoning him.

So far, Governor Sonko is the smartest of all the 47. The man is readily ahead of time and always armed with a Tsunami of facts in his fingertips. If you plan to accuse him over anything, ensure you are well prepared with enough facts” said Ngunyi.

Ngunyi also predicted that Sonko might be re-elected in 2022 by landslide because he has won the heartsof the common Mwananchi despite resistance from the elitist community.

DP Ruto orders arrest of 4 poor boys who stole eggs worth 2000.

Four people were on Monday arrested for stealing 10 crates of eggs at Deputy President William Ruto’s Sugoi home.

The suspects who took the eggs worth Sh2,500 are workers at Ruto’s farm.

According to Eldoret West OCPD Zachariah Bitok, two men and two women who are currently being detained at Turbo Police Station for questioning will be arraigned as soon as investigations are over.

Mr Bitok also noted that the farm manager noticed that some eggs were missing at 11am when he alerted the police.

The unidentified manager would later discover the eggs hidden in another section of the farm.

Detectives looking into the matter are seeking to establish whether the four worked together with outsiders to steal from the DP.

The Standard reports that the General Service Unit officers manning the farm denied the theft had taken place.

The 10 crates will be produced in court as evidence.

In 2017 however, a lone gunman had made his way into the DP’s home leading to an 18 hour shoot out.

He was identified as Mohammed Ibrahim Mohamud, or Omar as he was popularly known.

The shoot out led to the death of a police officer.

How China played into Uhuru Ruto looting appetite to get Mombasa port as collateral for SGR Loan

By Gordon Op

Did the Chinese deliberately lead our greedy and naïve leaders into signing off our key assets only to leave the SGR hanging as a piece of useless investment?

Ethiopia got sh 340 billion shillings and built an Electric SGR of 756 km. Kenya got sh 500 billion and built a Diesel SGR of 600 km between Mombasa and Naivasha.
In other words, the Chinese deliberately knew that our officials were/ are hopelessly corrupt, but they mischievously trapped them into signing off our key assets for a loan that they knew was just a trap.

How can the same Bank give one Client – Ethiopia 340 billion to build a 756 km Electric Railway, and give another client sh 500 billion to build a diesel Railway of 600km?

It happens all over. Someone loans your father some 100,000 and he gives your family land as collateral. He gives him the loan knowing that your father will drink the money and forfeit the land.

Such evil lenders exist everywhere.
European Lenders would never give such loans. But Chinese never ask many questions, because they know what they want.

In addition to the heavy loans, the Chinese mischievously trapped them into controlling the Trains. So, apart from leaving the Railway hanging in the middle of nowhere, they control the trains. So, they can deliberately run them at a loss in order to take the Port. They can deliberately run fewer trains so as to reduce profit. In any case, they are paid a flat fee of one billion per month.
Were we played?

The seven questions on SGR that Uhuru could not answer Raila in China, Baba was furious !

By Gordon O

Some Hard Questions on SGR

1. In October 2008, President Kibaki/PM Raila and Museveni agreed to build SGR from Mombasa to Kasese( DRC Border). Why did Uganda fall out.

2. In 2009, Kenya Railway and Uganda Railway set up a joint technical committee to explore all aspects of the new Railway. Paul Kagame later joined the team. What happened to the technical committee?

3. In 2010, In the Budget estimates, Kenya Railways got about 100 million to carry out feasibility studies together with Ugandans on all options of constructing the new Railway. Why was the money not released?

4. In 2011, Transport PS Cyrus Njiru ordered KR MD, Nduva Muli to stop all activities involving the Feasibility studies…. Why did he do that?

5. Someone asked the Chinese to do a Feasibility Study in 2011-12. Who was that? Why did he do that?

6. In 2012, World Bank warned Kenya against taking the Chinese route. Because Chinese rushed and only terminated in Nairobi. World Bank warned that the Nairobi Mombasa model cannot sustain itself. Who decided in 2013 to go ahead with it.

7. The Nairobi Naivasha route and dry Port were not in the 2011 Chinese Feasibility studies. Who brought it up? Who owns the Naivasha Land that the Dry Port is located?

These are questions that we need to answer. One by One. Once this is done, we can do away with rumors and start thinking of rescuing our country from the deep hole we are stuck in.

Meanwhile Emprain Njega adds:

Tanzania is doing 2,561 km of SGR at KShs 1.4 trillion giving a cost per km of KShs 560 million.

Our SGR from Mombasa to Malaba is 961 km long. Meaning that at Tanzanian costing our SGR would have cost a total of KShs 538 billion to Malaba.

The only reason we can’t finish the line is due to corruption and stupidity. Why can’t Jubilee tender the project to non-Chinese contractors? Are we bewitched?

China is even advancing Tanzania SGR money even after Chinese contractors failed to win tenders. If you respect yourself others will respect you too and vice versa.

The Tanzanians also brightly decided to do the entire line using our Thika Highway model whereby it was divided into phases each tendered differently.

They could be through with the whole thing in five years. Remember the longer you take to do a project the costlier it is in the end.

‘Raila is the proverbial chicken tricked by maize, the two looters will re-unite to rig 2022 polls

There are indications that Baba is being played by the two grand looters , he is being set up and funny enough he is falling for it faster than a Kiambu girl falls for a Nigerian conman in Ngong along road.  For starters the handshake was a surprise to many including Baba’s inner Kitchen cabinet and top strategy teams.

Besides no greater sin DP Ruto has committed than the Kenyatta family, be it grabbing public land, using proxies to do business with government, defending cartels you name it.  Effectively DP Ruto has joined the dynasty club, the club comprises of families that used their network to advance individual or family interest in government, they include tens of Mt Kenya mafia (Ndegwa family, Kanyotu, Kibaki, Kenyatta, Koinange, Wanjigi,Michuki), others include Moi family, Nyachae family, Moses Mudavadi family via Musalia Mudavadi, General Maalim Mohammed family via Duale), Mulu Mutisya via Kalonzo Musyoka, Kijana Wamalwa family via Mukhisa Kituyi and CS Eugene, The Odinga family via Oburu and Raila, the Ondongo Omamo family via Rachel Omamo, The Awori family via uncle Moody

Sample this: Deputy President William Ruto has said that the handshake between Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta is a scheme to contain the ODM leader and give the Jubilee administration ample time to implement its projects.

Speaking in Molo, Ruto told Jubilee supporters not to worry about Raila as ‘they will deal with him at the right time’.

“Sisi wote ni wa Jubilee, na Jubilee iko imara … msibabaishwe na yule jamaa wa kitendawili. Tulileta yeye karibu ndio tumzungushe hapa na pale ili tuweze kufanya kazi. Si mnajua alikuwa analeta taabu na maandamano, na fujo na kuharibu vitu? Tutamzungushe hapa na pale ili Uhuru aweze kufanya kazi (We are all in Jubilee and the party is intact, we brought Raila because he was disturbing us but now we are working),” Ruto said.

The DP said when the right time comes; the treatment on Raila will be different from how he is treated today within the government.
“Nyinyi kweli mnaona kama ule jamaa anawezana na sisi? Eeeh? Wakati ukifika si tutamshughulikia? (He cannot defeat us, when the right time comes, we will deal with him,” the DP added.

Ruto was addressing a roadside crowd outside Molo secondary school where he had just attended a church function for the Israel Assemblies of God in Molo.

High chance Uhuru Ruto are setting up Raila for 2022 roasting via handshake

By Gordon O

Persecution to Victory
I have my theory on the Handshake:
2022 was going to be an extremely hard sell for Ruto and Uhuru. In 2013, they rode on the sense of persecution to rally their voters around them. The emotions, anger and sense of betrayal made them win.

It was a victory pegged on persecution, not their character or track record. People just voted them based on emotions.
In 2017, they were lucky that their opponent was the same guy who made them win. The guy who isn’t as clean as he purports to be.
So, the 2017 victory was a mixture of emotions and plea to help complete the projects they started.

But 2022, was going to be a very hard sell. Corruption, tribalism, incompetence and pure “don’t care” attitude has eaten into the goodwill. By 2022, there will be no chance of saying, “umeona tumejenga barabara, Reli, Sitima”. There will be nothing like that. By then, everyone would be hurting.
So, what do the Dynamic Duo come up with? A second Persecution to Victory Path.
They decide to evoke emotions just like 2013.

They decide to create a scenario of betrayal, persecution and injustice…..
So, they call the old guy from Bondo, and give him goodies, give him State Protection, give him a fake post in AU and make him feel that he is in power.
They know that the std 6 dropout does not think strategically and is greedy for money. But more important, the old man has some of the dumbest followers on earth, who will follow him anywhere.

A ” war against corruption ” is started. The old clueless guy is made to believe that he is in charge of the war. His clueless followers start shouting loudly that they are in Sirikal and are beating the “Thief”
Meanwhile, the “Thief” now has the chance to go round the country just like in 2012, crying about persecution and injustice and betrayal.

It works!!!
The actions of betrayal and ” elevation ” of the old clueless guy suddenly galvanize everyone around the “Thief”
The old clueless guy and his followers cannot see that they have been played. They have just been used to make someone who could not sell himself, a hot sale.
Nothing works as the selling of persecution, fear and siege. That is how the old guy and his Dad got hold of their followers.
And that is how they have made Ruto extremely popular, at a time he should be bowing down in shame after the spectacular failure of Jubilee.

Our SGR from Mombasa to Malaba is 961 km long. Meaning that at Tanzanian costing our SGR would have cost a total of KShs 538 billion to Malaba.

They could be through with the whole thing in five years. Remember the longer you take to do a project the costlier it is in the end.

The Phase 2A of the SGR from Nairobi to Naivasha is supposed to be through by June 2019. Nobody knows the fate of the remaining phase of the project from Naivasha to Malaba.

Before the much publicized Uhuru Raila trip to China the last we heard about was when the Chinese asked the government to submit a feasibility study before signing a loan agreement to finance it. Despite the Transport CS James Macharia boasting that they would just go to the hotel and produce the feasibility numbers nothing is yet to be heard three months on.

Unless the Chinese agree to the idea of providing part of the remaining Phase’s funding as a grant, it will be difficult to finance it any other way. The government has exhausted its borrowing capacity and any further borrowing will result in a calamity.

Maybe there was all along a plan to terminate the SGR in Naivasha to benefit some landowners there. Economically it makes no sense to have had a Nairobi-Naivasha phase as a separate part of the project.

The second phase should have been from Nairobi to Malaba in order to increase the economic viability of the rail. We all know as of now there is really no serious economic activity in Naivasha to justify the Phase 2A.

It would have made more sense to do the Nairobi-Naivasha and Malaba-Naivasha links concurrently. If the SGR fails to proceed beyond Naivasha, it will make sense to write off the Phase 2A altogether.

He said that the auditor general Edward Ouko was a decent man but his officers were corrupt and had asked for the money in exchange for a good report on the county’s expenditure.

Sonko said that the officers had made a report to force him into making the payment which they had reduced to Sh50 million. The report that was presented to the Auditor General had misleading information according to the governor.

Moses Kuria comes up with a new Strategy to scuttle Ruto’s Plans in Mt Kenya

Several parties have been formed in Mt Kenya region while others are being revamped in what might pose a new headache for Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the 2022 election.

In the run-up to the 2017 General Election, the DP spearheaded the merger of  small parties to form Jubilee. But three years to the next election, new parties are either springing up or old ones are being revived.

The latest kid on the block is Transformation National Alliance, which is linked to  Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria. He had initially tried to take over the Democratic Party.

VIDEO: Sonko blasts Peter Kenneth, Maina Kamanda for being Most Corrupt

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has blasted veteran politician Maina Kamanda and Peter Kenneth for being loud on speaking against corruption yet they are also beneficiaries of corruption.

Speaking at the workers prayer day at the St. Stephens ACK Jogoo Road, Sonko blasted Atwoli for being selective in the fight against corruption.

Kamanda, one of DP Ruto’s chief critics had said that politicians should not donate to church publicly.

But a visibly angry Sonko said the nominated MP is one of the chief beneficiaries of corruption.

Huyu Kamanda amegrab manyumba pale, amejenga manyumba kwa barabara,”

He added that hakuna corruption ya jana na ya leo. He accused Atwoli of trying to make the congregation happy with selective mentioning of corrupt people.

Sonko pointed out that Peter Kenneth brought down the Kenya Reinsurance company during his tenure as the Managing Director (MD).

Exposed: Jonathan Moi’s love for his mother was reason why Mzee Moi isolated him

For most of her life, Lenah Moi was only known at her Kabimoi Village where she lived a rural-woman’s life after her divorce with Daniel arap Moi – and at times with no means of transport.

She had no qualms using a matatu and when Ibrahim Choge – her son-in-law and Jonathan’s rallying co-driver died in a road accident – Lenah took a matatu from Eldama Ravine to Nandi Hills as other mourners arrived in fuel guzzlers and helicopters.

She sat amongst the common mourners away from the high table and when the burial was over, she went back the same way she had come to her house whose leaking roof on the bedroom side had made her take the bed to the sitting room.

After the divorce in 1974, Moi took the kids to Kabarak Farm save for Jonathan who, then aged twenty, chose to stay with his mother eventually setting up his home in Kabimoi.

Jonathan took after his mother by being a village man often imbibing beer with the locals whom he socialised with on regular basis.

It is this association and fondness of his mother which made Moi strive to ensure that he did not capture the Eldama Ravine parliamentary seat twice

This is how the war between Gideon Moi and DP Ruto will end, the Sugoi boy will lose at the finish line !

We are still at Gideon and William, the two nemesis forming a rift in the politics of the valley

As I told you earlier, the two might’ve unknowingly shared an “imondo”, the gizzard, explaining their unending feuds as witnessed when Jonathan’s funeral provided an arena to escalate hostilities

We may be approaching 2002, when Kenya’s two leading presidential candidates, Kibaki and Uhuru, were from the same ethnic community, that is if we will have the duo in the ballot in 2022

If a contest for popularity among the two, is held, today, in the Rift Valley alone, Ruto will floor Gideon early in the day

If the same is held nationally, Gideon can easily turn the tide on Ruto, were it not that the later has established a grassroots networks that he cas easily use to mobilize support

Read also: The Silent War In Rift Valley; Gideon Moi Vs William Ruto. Will Mzee Moi Have The Last Laugh?

Some people will choose Gideon for who he is while others will settle on him, as a protest vote against Ruto

No one will vote Ruto as protest vote against Gideon, because he has not accumulated any political enemies in his career. Unlike Ruto, Gideon appears urbane and less tribal, and other communities may feel more safe with his presidency

The other factors going for him is that he has not been aggressive in seeking power. History has taught us that the Dedan Kimathis of this world, who spent a lifetime in the bushes fighting mkoloni, never lived to lead the nation

Instead it is Kenyatta, an absentee freedom fighter, who rose to power. KIbaki who was at the centre of KANU from 1963, as others opposed it, later became president and an Uhuru who was never interested in politics, until Moi discovered him and spruced him for the seat

Those who seek the seat vigorously, like Raila and Ruto don’t get it, as the seat belongs to those who appear reluctant

Whichever the scenario, Rift Valley, will be the winner. Again remember when two brothers fight each other to death it is a stranger who inherits their properties (property here means wife)

Given a political interpretation, then someone else outside the valley may benefit from this rift

Good morning my fellow hoof eaters!!

Exposed: The beef between Gideon Moi and DP Ruto; who started it?

Gideon Moi is such a descent and composed leader not a pretender:

When Former Republican Senator and presidential candidate John McCain was about to die he made it clear to his family, Republican Party and the United States of America that Donald Trump should not attend his burial and if he does he shouldn’t be allowed to address mourners.
Trump kept off. Now that’s decency.

William Ruto declared himself an enemy to the retired president’s family. Tried to kill their business, his cartels have impoverished Kalenjins via NCPB, fake fertilizer, went for Gideon’s jugular, he called him names underrated him and his father. It is on record Ruto abused Gideon as uncircumcised boy

Look the kind of trash DP Ruto’s speech writer and aide Eric Ngeno wrote about senator Moi, very shameful.

So why would Gideon pretend a consolation from a devil who has always wanted his family dead?

At least Raila used to cry over nusu mkate and VIP toilet, Ruto is crying to meet mzee Moi yet Mzee doesnt want to see or hear anything to do with the hawker of the Kalenjin votes.

HUDUMA NAMBA and THE BILLION DOLLAR EATERS…worth repeating….

By Miguna Miguna

[“Who is it that has snagged the tender for printing new Huduma cards? Who will supply the database software? Who will ‘eat’ the computer hardware tender? Who will grab the multi-year, multi-billion-shilling system maintenance contract? Who will get paid? Is it Muhoho Kenyatta or Mama Ngina Kenyatta? What can the Huduma number do that the average identity card number cannot? And if there is something wrong with ID card numbers – such as duplication thanks to election rigging moves – then why aren’t we fixing the issues with national ID cards?”]
——————————————————–

Let’s get some basics out of the way. The Huduma Namba initiative has nothing to do with delivering services to you. That much is obvious even to the most besotted government supporter.

There is no number on earth that can help a government deliver services better if that government has not been doing so or wants to do so.

The idea that this government, whose last six years in power have been characterised by mind-boggling corruption, law-defying impunity and absolutely basal incompetence has suddenly had a brainwave and is going to deliver better services to wananchi thanks to some numbering scheme is absolute madness.

With that out of the way, we can now speculate on the real motives behind this government-pushed initiative. If it is not designed to help deliver services and we know it is not, because this government has never been about service delivery – then what is it for?

The Latins have an excellent little phrase that one can employ in such cases. It is the deceptively simple ‘cui bono?’ which translates to ‘to whom is it a benefit?’

Wananchi have no need for Huduma numbers, because they are drowning in state-issued numbers. The average adult Kenyan has an identity card with a supposedly unique number.

There isn’t much you can do in Kenya without your identity card- can’t open a bank account, can’t buy property, can’t even marry without one.

But that’s just one number: before one receives an identity card, one needs a birth certificate, with its own unique number.

These days, state schools will not even register kids who show up without their and their fathers’ birth certificates.

Kenyans also require PIN numbers for taxation purposes. The taxman wants to know about your money, so to buy a car, purchase land, transfer property from one person to another and so on, one needs a PIN number.

No one likes to sit around doing nothing, so those Kenyans lucky enough to own a car will need a driving licence, complete with its own supposedly unique number. That car comes with its own unique registration number.

And, if the Kenyan wants to travel abroad, they need a passport. Of course, each passport has a unique passport number.

With all these state-issued numbers, it is a little disingenuous for the government to look to saddle us with yet another document, yet another unique number that we suddenly need if we want to access government services.

So, maybe the President should be upfront. He should look us squarely in the eye and tell us who it is that has snagged the tender for printing new Huduma cards.

Who will supply the database software? Who will ‘eat’ the computer hardware tender?

Who will grab the multi-year, multi-billion-shilling system maintenance contract? Who will get paid?

These are the people and companies who will benefit from this, and it is they that are driving this strange initiative.

While at it, the President could also tell us why he reckons we need a sixth unique number to access government services. What for?

What can the Huduma number do that the average identity card number cannot? And if there is something wrong with ID card numbers – such as duplication thanks to election rigging moves – then why aren’t we fixing the issues with national ID cards?

Knowing how much government officials steal each time they try to roll out big projects, I can bet there is a big scam on this Huduna number.

We saw it with SGR, Galana kulalu irrigation scheme, Afya House scam, Dams, NYS, Laptop, KPLC, Sh1B Oil Spill Scandal…. The Huduma Number project will cost Sh6 billion, just before a Sh18 billion national census. All this being hurried at a time when Kenyans are dying of hunger.

How Uhuru is destroying Kenya economy but building Kenyatta family business empire

By W Thuku

ANY country on earth where the President or the Vice President does business with their Government so that they are in competition with their subjects is a lost nation. Rotten actually. Anyone who can’t see that needs to quickly check in for corrective brain surgery.

Ask yourself for a moment why articles 131(3) and 147(4) of our constitution state that the President and Deputy President shall not hold any other State or Public positions.

I expect very few to see the link between holding State positions and doing business with govt, actually you will see a comment arguing in that line. Thats why we have the 70% classification here, totally naive.

But the intention of the constitution makers was to ensure that the two leaders never get into or engage in anything that will be in conflict with their two positions.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s directly or indirectly or through proxies, its immoral for a head or deputy head of Government to do business with his own govt.

Other than a salary and related payments a government should never write any other cheque to a President or a deputy president or to an entity belonging thereto including companies, for Services or products provided.

One can only hope and pray that our eyes shall be opened some day and we shall see what makes other nations what they are.

Why Mt Kenya hawkers and business community is cursing Uhuru, they wish Raila was president

I’m generally a very optimistic person. I like seeing the positives in every situation.

But of late, I have been asking a few hard questions.

For instance, President Uhuru has just inked a loan of about 52 billion, to build an 18 km road, from Westlands to JKIA.
Of course the person signing the deal is the elitist James Macharia, the CS who thinks only for the billionaires.

At a time when sugarcane farmers cannot be paid. When Maize farmers cannot be paid. When School teachers are struggling with meagre salaries. Kenya has proudly signed a 3 billion per kilometre road. Yes every, 1,000 metres will cost 3 billion Bob. Not million. Billion. One metre, or 100 cm, yaani the Ruler your child carries to school X 3 and 10cm costs 3 million Bob.

At a time when all irrigation projects have collapsed, and our hospitals are lacking basics, we are spending 3 billion Bob per kilometre.
To do what? To help a few rich people reach the airport on time.

The few rich people would easily wake up early, and save us the 3 billion per kilometre road. But no, we have to accommodate the few rich people. What about those rich people that live in Eastlands? Will they have to go to Westlands to enjoy the 3 billion per kilometre road?

Let me not talk about the Konza Loan of sh 200 billion. I still don’t have details.

But I’m sure that 200 billion, if pumped into improving our produce, can do much better.
For instance, we can process our Potatoes that are sold for peanuts in Nyandarua, Molo and Narok , and export them to China and Europe via SGR.
We can invest 30 billion to help fish production and can them and export to China and Europe via SGR.

We can clean up the aquifer in Turkana and irrigate 2 million acres, and turn Northern Kenya into the Food Basket, and export our produce via SGR. Experts say that only 5 billion shillings is needed to clean that water and remove the salty particles. Just 2 kilometers of the Road to JKIA can turn Turkana water into useful water..

But, why? Why do we borrow and invest in such obvious white elephants? Who benefits? Is it a connected Bank that earns commissions on the processing of the loan?
Something just doesn’t add up.

I will still remain optimistic, maybe I’m over thinking and over worrying.

Rtd President Moi tribute to his son Jonathan Toroitich Moi

*Tribute by Former President Daniel Moi to his son Jonathan Toroitich Moi*

Friends and family, thank you for sharing this day with us as we celebrate the life of Jonathan Toroitich Moi.
I stand before you today, not as your former president but as a father who grieves the loss of his son.

To many he was Jonathan, to others JT, to others simply a rally driver, to others mheshimiwa but to me he was always ‘my son’.
Today, I just want to say a few words as a way of honoring my son and as an offering to God of our continued trust in His loving kindness and faithfulness.
I have lived a full life and only sadness is that my beloved son did not. No father should bury their child.
However, I am honoured that God chose me to be Jonathan’s father.

Jonathan from an earliest age was a man of the earth and it came as no surprise that later in life his two greatest passion were rallying and farming.
I would like to think his passion for farming came from me. But as for rallying I have no idea!

Jonathan was a gentle soul. He was a pure heart and had great sensitivity for the world around him. His down to earth manner had a way with people that made them feel comfortable around him and infected others to gravitate toward him. Kind, uncomplicated and without affectation.

However, the greatest joy any parent can experience is knowing that their child has accepted Christ into their life. It took Jonathan time but many like many of his greatest rally victories, he pulled it off at the last minute and gave his life to Christ.

Joy of joys! This is the main comfort that I have at this time, knowing that he was at peace with his Maker and was received to the heavenly kingdom as a good and faithful servant.

I can picture our heavenly father rushing to great and hug his returning prodigal son, with Jonathan’s late mother, Lena, dancing with joy.
Like the loving father of the parable, let us celebrate. Jonathan is now with his mother, many relatives and friends. We will bring “the best robe and put in him”. We will cloth you, dear son, with our prayer. We will care for those you have left behind; we will remember those cheerful moments you spent with us…

Fathers should be buried by their children, and not the other way around. A son should never be buried by his father. But Jonathan’s departure is God’s will. God is reminding us that this life is passing, times goes by quickly, and the things of this world can never satisfy the greatness of the human soul, a soul that is called to love the Father above all things…a soul destined for eternity.

Each child is a very special chapter in a father’s book. Jonathan, today you closed you chapter. I feel you close to my heart and yet so far from outside. You have gone ahead. You were always in a hurry, rally-driving, competing, driving fast…and you loved speed. Now you have reached heaven before us. One day we will also go to keep you company.

Dear son, I sincerely thank God for giving me a son like you. You were not perfect, and you made mistakes…but you were blood of my blood, and you had a great loving heart.

As his father I hand my beloved son to his heavenly Father who loves him more dearly than we will ever know.

Stay well son until we meet again!

Statehouse statement over Uhuru humiliation in China, explains why SGR loan was blocked

Office of the Chief of Staff
State House Nairobi

Saturday, 27th March 2019

PRESS STATEMENT

As you are no doubt aware, H.E the President is winding up a very successful visit to the People’s Republic Of China.

The visit to China by H.E The President and his delegation on the invitation of the Government Of the People’s Republic of China was to attend the Belt and Road Initiative which is a multilateral event that brings together over 60 Heads of State and Government and other leaders from across the world to discuss issues of inter-continental connectivity for global trade.

The President participated at both the Summit and the High Level Heads of State Meetings. His contribution urged the participating countries to strengthen connectivity, open up markets, commit to rule based international trade, strengthen multilateral cooperation and ensure that development pursued is people centered, is sustainable and ensures shared prosperity.

President Kenyatta and his delegation comprising several Cabinet Secretaries and other senior Government officials also had a bilateral meeting with their Chinese counterparts, led by H.E President Xi Jinping . The agenda of the bilateral meeting which was extremely successful covered the following areas:

i) The signing of a trade agreement for the export of frozen avocados from Kenya to China which followed the signing of an MoU on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Standards late last year for the export to China from Kenya of various horticultural products. The trade agreement on avocado which is a huge boost to our farmers marks the beginning of a new chapter in our relations with China that aims to address the trade imbalance and promote mutual economic benefit.

ii) The second item on the agenda was the signing of a Framework Agreement between the Kenya National Highways Authority and the China Road and Bridge Cooperation for the construction of Kenya’s first expressway from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Westlands. This landmark project aimed at decongesting Nairobi City is privately funded through the Public Private Partnerships legal framework.

iii) The third item was the signing of a financing agreement valued at KShs.17 Billion between the Government Of Kenya and China EXIM Bank for the construction of the Konza Technopolis Data Center and IT infrastructure.

Construction of basic infrastructure at the Konza Technopolis is in the final stages of completion and this IT project will enable the special zone to be operational by 2020. This is a huge milestone for the project conceived over 10 years ago and will be a significant source of jobs in the technology sphere.

It is therefore very disappointing to read excerpts from a number of newspapers, namely the Saturday Nation and the Saturday Standard. Both papers intimating that the Republic of Kenya as represented by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta has “failed to secure loans or funds” for the extension of the Standard Gauge Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu.

It is important to note that the question of funding for the extension of the Standard Guage Railway from Naivasha to Kisumu was not on the agenda of the meeting between the two President’s. It therefore follows that the President cannot be said to be returning home empty handed for something he did not request.

It further goes without saying that these headlines are are not only factually incorrect, they are misleading and extremely damaging to the reputation of the People and the Government of the Republic of Kenya.

Whilst making it clear that the Government of Kenya did not discuss any funding proposals for the extension of the SGR at this meeting, it is very critical to state at this point that the SGR project is a regional project and the complexities in negotiating its completion involve several countries and securing financing for its completion could take several years of intricate negotiations.

However, given the public interest in the matter it is important to acknowledge that the SGR Phase 2A of the Railway from Nairobi to Naivasha will be complete by August 2019.

In this context, President Kenyatta highlighted to his counterpart the plans of the Government of Kenya to break ground on the Industrial Park and Dry Port to be constructed at the Naivasha Special Economic Zone by June 2019.

The President extended a welcome to Chinese companies interested in establishing industries in Kenya’s Special Economic Zones to come and visit the site.

It was further appreciated that once the Industrial Park and Dry Port serving our regional neighbours Uganda, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda and South Sudan come into operation, it will be necessary to ensure that there will be no disruption in the movement of cargo from Naivasha to the region whilst financial aspect for the extension of the SGR is concluded.

To mitigate any risk of disruption to the movement of cargo, the Government Of Kenya shared its short term plans to rehabilitate the existing meter gauge railway to the Port of Kisumu to ensure seamless interconnection with the SGR at the Naivasha facilities.

The SGR remains an essential project of Kenya’s Vision 2030 strategy and a key enabler of regional economic growth within East and Central Africa. As a Pan-Africanist, President Kenyatta remains committed to laying the necessary foundation for the trans-African rail and road infrastructure that will transform intra-African Connectivity and Trade for the economic benefit of over a billion Africans.

How Uhuru strategy to use Raila to get SGR loan backfired in China

By Dorcas S

Let me say this, if Jubilee had wanted to keep the public messaging about the trip to China focused on the Belt & Road Initiative as some folks have insisted the trip was all about, the party would have done just that:

Messaged the Uhuru/Raila junket as two separate and distinct missions WITH two separate and distinct objectives.

Specifically, messaging from Jubilee’s media wing would have stated – categorically – that Raila was NOT traveling to Beijing as a member of Uhuru’s ministerial entourage BUT in his capacity as African Union’s (AU) African High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.

This clarity of messaging would have then served to dispel the belief that the objective of the two missions was one and the same.

Finally, given Kenya’s failure to secure the desired KSh380B needed to complete the SGR to Raila’s base Kisumu, most rational folks would have seen the failure as distinct from RAO’s rapprochement with Uhuru and the latter’s betrayal, yet again, of the former!

Instead, the two sides – Raila and Uhuru – allowed the narrative that “completion of the SGR will make a big impact at the lakeside city and open up the port which has been underutilised for years, despite its immense potential to boost the county’s economy” – to percolate, then persist and finally take hold among a majority of Kenyans.

The messaging for the two supposedly separate missions to China – one to seek funds for Kenya’s SGR as undertaken by Uhuru Kenyatta and his ministers AND the other to represent African Union’s infrastructure needs as undertaken by the body’s representative Raila – thus became merged into one convoluted message replete with news headlines

This mixed messaging by Jubilee was NOT by accident – given reports that China was hedging on extending additional loan facilities to the over-indebted Kenyatta regime.

The muddy messaging of the trip’s objective was a deliberate and strategic conflation of the by the government of Kenya to allay fears most investors have of unstable investment climates.

Taken together, Kenya’s massive public debt and its history of unstable and unpredictable socio-political clime combined to compel the ruling party to avoid separating the two missions – as evidenced by the headlines on most dailies:

That Raila’s accompaniment of Kenyatta to China was part of the “Handshake” dividend i.e. payout that Kenyans and China want and deserve, the latter to make sure that they get returns on their massive investments in the country.

I understand all that.

What I don’t understand is why the mixed messaging and the conflation by Jubilee re: the Raila/Odinga junket to China “to extend the SGR to Kisumu” that was inevitably going to rise the hopes of a people/region long-marginalized by Kenya’s central government was allowed to stand and take hold – by either side?

My suspicion is as offered in this AM’s banner:

That alone, the Kenyatta wing of Jubilee knew that the Chinese, who are hard-nosed negotiators and are now pushing back on the popular narrative that their loans and overall designs in Africa are predatory, one-sided and demonstrably risky, were NOT going to give them any more money.

Given that reality, TNA was only too willing to trade the suddenly-hapless and now-dispensable Ruto‘s URP wing of the coalition for the widely-acknowledged international gravitas and reputation of Raila Odinga for additional sheen to the party’s public misuse and abuse of the country’s resources.

The narrative that some of us who see through the smoke-and-mirrors that’s (been) generated by Jubilee are supposedly “cheering on the failure of the mission to get the announced KSh.380B for the Nairobi-to-Kisumu leg of the SGR” is just silly if not idiotic.

Speaking for myself, I am not happy that Kisumu may have to wait another decade before her inhabitants enjoy the yet-to-be-realized benefits of an operationalized SGR.

I also understand the factors that came together to inform China’s decision and Jubilee’s messaging that re-opened the wound of a region.

The obvious let-down was wrought on by a government only too willing to sacrifice clarity of message for more money – even if the muddled messaging caused a major disappointment to a people of a region that is used to being let down by a government that now claims to be ready to right historical wrongs.

This is NOT how to embark on the long-overdue undertaking as promised by the “Handshake”.

It is certainly NOT an optimal way to message a supposed dividend accruing from the “Handshake”.

Flamboyance: Governor Sonko spotted in Dubai buying expensive Gold chains and Versace label worth sh4.3m

Sonko spotted in Dubai buying Gold chains and Versace labels worth over Sh4.3m

A video has emerged of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko purchasing gold chains and Versace labels in Dubai worth multi-million shillings.

In the video, Sonko is seen dishing out dollars to a shop attendant after purchasing the gold and diamond chains together with Versace labels.

According to sources Sonko has been buying gold chains from Dubai since 2009 even before he was elected Makadara MP in 2010 in a by election which he trounced both PNU and ODM candidates in a hotly contested poll.

Recently the flamboyant Governor was spotted donning a pair of Versace loafers believed to be worth over Sh50,000.

In 2010 when Sonko was serving as Makadara MP he was thrown out of the National Assembly by the then Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim for wearing diamonds, earrings and golden glasses which was allegedly in contravention of standing orders.

BOMBSHELL: How cartels make fertiliser expensive, kill cheaper brands, use GoK agencies to exploit farmers

By Francis Muli

Kenya’s economy is mainly dependent on agriculture, the country relies heavily on imported farming inputs, fertiliser is critical in farming especially for maize farmers.

Just a month to planting season, the government announced that there would be no subsidised fertiliser as it has always been. The big question is: Is the government genuine?

Every year, Kenyans are treated to news of ‘fake’ fertilisers nabbed somewhere in the country. But after the news, where the fertiliser goes and the owners remains a mystery.

This writer however learns that it is not fake fertiliser, but the arrests are instigated by cartels in the industry so that they ride solo in the market with hiked prices. Through this, they fetch as much as Ksh2 billion from sales.

The latest nab was for 3,500 tonnes of fertiliser worth Ksh300 million last year June on grounds that it had mercury.

The biggest cartel in the industry is thought to be Export Trading Group (ETG) of Dubai which has offices in Dar-es-Salaam and Nairobi.

For instance, our source intimates that the price per 50kg bag of DAP fertiliser is Ksh2,800 from ETG warehouse in Mombasa. The same fertiliser of OCP which is impounded in Mombasa goes ksh2,300 per bag.

As a matter of fact, the planting season this year requires at least 200,000 bags of 50kg. The difference between ETG fertiliser and OCP fertiliser prices is Ksh500, hence for the 200,000 bags there is a mark up of ksh100 million before one talks of normal profit by these companies.

“So the OCP fertiliser has to be kept off the market by cartels that control Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS). False allegations of mercury in the OCP fertiliser is the weapon of choice at this time. The cartel will not allow retesting because they know there is no mercury in the OCP fertiliser. People at DCI and DPP are either part of the scam to keep cheaper fertilser off the market or they have been blind sided or they are too embarrassed by the dramatic Friday evening arrests and the outrageous charges that they find it hard to eat humble pie,” says a source in the know.

It is understandstood that samples taken by KEBS seven months ago have been ‘lost’/ destroyed. Also, the DCI and the DPP are resisting the direction of the Court to take new samples and retest from the fertiliser in Mombasa.

“Is it an intention to delay the entry of this cheaper fertiliser from one of the world’s biggest manufacturer so that the cartels and middlemen of Kenya get a chance to sell their more expensive fertiliser to government and helpless Kenyan farmers?” poses a concerned party.

As compared to Kenya, 50kg DAP in Ethiopia sells for USD20 (ksh 2000) despite being a landlocked country. In Tanzania the same sells for Ksh2,400. A

ETG in Tanzania sells the same fertiliser at Ksh2,400.

In Kenya the ‘discounted’ price stands at Ksh3,000. In the open market today brands like Fanaka are selling at between Ksh3,200 and Ksh3,800.

In the meantime the price to Ministry of Agriculture given by ETG has been above Ksh3,000. The government had bought it at that price over the last two years and then subsidised it by 50 per cent. The price at 50 per cent discount would have been Ksh1,500 but it is always at Ksh1,800 for farmers.

In the meantime the NCPB does not even have with them the money accruing from sale at 50 per cent which was supposed to be a revolving fund.

Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri asked for an additional Ksh3.68 billion for procurement of subsidised fertiliser when he appeared before the National Assemble Agriculture committee, but was unable to explain the whereabouts of the money.

Breaking: Jubilee Party’s Ahmed Kolosh wins Wajir by-election

President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee Party’s Candidate Ahmed Kolosh has won the Wajir West by-election after garnering 11,053 votes.

He defeated Kanu’s Ibrahim Sheikh who came in second after garnering 6,532 votes.

The results were announced early Friday morning by IEBC returning officer Mourice Raria.

A total of 17,000 voters turned out to vote in the by-election. The constituency has a total Number of 21,544 voters

Kolosh decamped from Raila Odinga’s ODM party after the Supreme Court overturned his election on January 19.

The ongoing drought lead to voter apathy as most of the voters who are pastoralists moved far  with their animals in search of water and pasture for their animals

Sheik, while conceding defeat, promised to work closely with Kolosh.

“I want to take this opportunity to congratulate my worthwhile competitor. We are all winners. I will join him in building and moving Wajir West foward. In me he has a brother,” Sheikh said.

The election was generally peaceful apart from a few concerns about the speed of the IEBC KIEMS kits.

EXPOSED: CS Macharia’s Zambian wife in steamy love affair with Somali playboy

The Zambian wife of beleaguered Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development James Macharia is involed a secret love affair with a young Somali playboy known as Mohammed Abdi alias Were.

According to reliable sources who divulged the story, Pamela Chanda Macharia developed the relationship with Moha during Jubilee’s first term after they were introduced by a mutual friend who she worked with at an NGO.

The source further revealed the two lovebirds engaged in explicit sexting just months after being introduced before Mrs Macharia started to shower her playboy lover with lots of money and plenty of expensive gifts.

Moha, as Mrs Macharia fondly refers to him, is an upcoming political broker and struggling tenderpreneur from Garissa who is presently doing all he can to support the 2022 campaign of Deputy President William Ruto dubbed Tanga Tanga.

Married with two children, Moha had the temerity to take Pamela to his South-B home and introduce her to his wife and children as a business associate.

CS Macharia married Pamela in the 1990s when he worked as a senior baking executive for ABC Bank in Lusaka, Zambia and they have two grown up children.

The problem stems from Moha’s boastful talk to friends that he is involved in a lucrative extra-marital affair with the wife of a powerful CS.

According to friends she has confided in, Pamela blames CS Macharia for pushing her to commit adultery when he started having an affair with his PA known as Irene. Pamela also says the CS is too busy for her.

A smitten Mrs Pamela Chanda Macharia has fallen heads over heels for the young Moha who is a well known unscrupulous wheeler-dealer both in Nairobi and Garissa.

Not only did CS Macharia’s wife acquire a brand-new Toyota VX (2018 modified) for Moha, she also helped facilitate a 5-year multi-entry visa to the United States for him using her connections in government of Kenya offices.

Pamela also facilitated the acquisition of a substantial shares for Moha at Beirut Hotel which is adjacent to Jamia Mosque in Nairobi’s CBD; a fact that the over-bragging Moha does not shy away from telling friends.

Sources further described Mrs Pamela Macharia arranges nocturnal meetings with Moha at high end hotels in the Gigiri neighborhood where she and the CS also share a residence. These meetings usually take place when CS Macharia is out of the country on official duty.

Oblivious to what his wife does behind his back, CS Macharia often receives gifts of designer suits and other exclusive men’s wear from the sweet-talking Moha who gets all his money from his own wife Pamela.

The two lovebirds have grown so fond of each other going by pictures and videos in our possession.

Verified records also show the most frequent outgoing calls from Pamela’s phone are made almost every hour to Moha’s two Safaricom lines; 07218686XX and 07168686XX.

The same numbers are recorded as routinely engaging in lusty exchange of WhatsApp messages and the fact they are cheating on both their spouses is now a matter of knowledge to close friends and hotel workers in the Gigiri area.

Moha is now said to be building a campaign war-chest as he prepares to run for the Dadaab parliamentary seat in 2022 general elections on DP Ruto’s political party, that many anticipate will be confirmed through the revival of the defunct United Republican Party.

The equation on the sordid extramarital affair will be complicated because of Moha’s leanings towards DP Ruto while CS Macharia is perceived as one of the more dependable CSs in Uhuru’s government. Currently the two leaders are not seeing eye to eye.

State House operatives were said to be shocked to learn that the money Moha uses genereously to advance Tanga Tanga in Garissa County actually originates from one of the state’s most heavily funded state dockets in the most embarrassing circumstances way through the infidelity of the wife of the Transport CS.

Recently when he visited Garissa, Moha took observers by surprise when he gave a hefty personal donation of Sh500,000 during DP Ruto’s fundraising event in Dadaab.

Mohammed Abdi alias Were with Deputy President William Ruto

Although not much is known about Moha, photos of him meeting with DP Ruto are strewn all over social media.

Sources from the Supplies Section at the Transport Ministry intimate that two shadowy firms,Bern Construction and Medina Construction, both of which are regularly given lucrative contracts by the ministry boil down to powerful patronage by Mrs Macharia and that both companies are linked to Moha as Macharia’s wife fondly .

“Were is a known cartel at headquarters and no one care dare touch him despite his lack of prerequisite documentation”

The soft spoken Macharia has lately been under distressing pressure with demands for his sacking growing louder by the day.
