SOMBRE: Raila JOINS Kisumu residents in Requeim mass for 3 SHOT DEAD by Police during peaceful demonstrations

By Phelix G Cord

Sombre mood and strong emotions early today engulfed thousands of Kisumu residents as they were attending a requeim mass prayers for three Kenyans killed by police during the IEBC protests in Kisumu .

The late three protesters include Frederick Otieno, Austine Omwombo, and Churchill Odhiambo.

Cord leaders led by Raila Odinga , ODM deputy party leader Hassan Joho, Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma , Johnston Muthama,James Orengo, John Mbadi among others joined the friends and relatives of the three protesters who were killed during the IEBC protests in Kisumu for the prayers ceremony held at Kirembe grounds, Kisumu.

The leaders arrived at the grounds after visiting those nursing injuries from the demos at Jaramogi Oginga Oginga Teaching and Referral Hospital and Aga Khan hospital.

Cord leaders have been piling pressure for the prosecution of police officers liable for the deaths of the trio and the shooting of others.
Instead , and very Unfortunately, the Kisumu County police commander Nelson Mugweru Njiri who had been commanding the operations during the shooting of the protesters has been promoted by jubilee and moved to the Kenya Airports Authority as the new head of security replacing Eric Kiraithe who was recently named the Government Spokesman.

Kisumu county commissioner was forced to Read Uhuru’s Madaraka Day speech in a completely empty field after Kisumu leaders and residents SNUBBED the county’s Madaraka Day celebrations at Jomo Kenyatta Grounds in PROTEST against police brutality on innocent Kenyans.

CORD have vowed to push on calls to disband and reform the embattled IEBC commissioners. They have since named Orengo,Muthama,Junet,Mishi Mboko and Eseli to lead the coalition to hold dialogue with the ruling regime into reforming the scandalous IEBC commission.

May the souls of the victims Rest in eternal peace.

Blogger Robert Alai WINS Case AGAINST Anti-Corruption boss Halakhe Wako

The case Halakhe Waqo, the EACC CEO brought against blogger Robert Alai has been dismissed.
Blogger Alai had asked Halakhe to show the country his degree – which Alai had information and reason to believe was fake.
Halakhe then sued Alai for causing annoyance and peddling false information.
Now that the case has been dismissed, we are again asking Halakhe to deny that his academic degree is fake.

SHAME: Uhuru’s rep in Kisumu addressing EMPTY Stadium, Residents BOYCOTTED Madaraka day BARAZA

News that Kisumu County residents boycotted this year’s Madaraka Day should be treated with the seriousness it deserves. The County governor was at Uhuru park where People’s president Raila Odinga addressed the nation.

People of Kisumu cannot sit and listen to a county security command that kills them on Monday and on Wednesday is reading an airlifted speech from Nairobi.

CORD will soon hold a major rally in Kisumu specifically to condemn police brutality and a national government mentality that kills innocent people to prove a silly point. Politics shouldn’t be deadly.

John Elungata will continue to address grass and journalists until his team apologizes for extra-judicial killings. Even the local Mt Kenya business community did not attend nor did the civil servants allied to URP….

We may be friendly but we are not friends.

TOP REACTIONS AGAINST DP Ruto’s attacks on global ICON Raila Odinga

Migosi Onyango Ochieng Jr:>>> To be fair before God and man, Uhuru’s speech in Afraha was conciliatory, uniting, forward looking and thought provoking. Unlike his CANTANKEROUS deputy who delivered a RANCOROUS speech poorly designed to fix square pegs in round holes—that speech was bitter in form, tone and pitch and even the body language was quarrelsome. Hours later Raila was to follow the pace set earlier by Uhuru. Despite reading the angry public mood, the crowd expectation and the prevailing idea of the moment (socio-political ZEITGEIST) Raila went ahead to deliver an award winning speech full of hope, national unity, equanimity and future promise. Today, let’s salute both Uhuru and Raila for rising on the occasion like Mark Antony on Caesar’s burial before the Romans. I am a Raila fadayeen, but at this time we must strive to unite the nation by lowering the temperatures and toning the rhetoric. Kudos Uhuru, Kudos Raila. You all behaved like the best bet players taking a penalty shoot in a world cup before a crowd overly pregnant with expectations.

Tom Nyonje That guy is rocking Uhuru government from within. When the President speech was conciliatory “come lets reason together…” The guy was beating the drums of war and weeping more than the bereaved. He’s exposed himself as the hyena among the sheep.

Guliya Allasow
This man D.P has no respect for the old man R.A.O unlike the president who shows alot maturity in addressing issues affecting the country.

Phil W >>DP Ruto is bitter, always confrontational and harbours hatred. It’s almost as if Kenya is his. ‪#‎MadarakaDay‬
