Nominated MP Isaac Mwaura has disclosed using Sh29 million in the Jubilee nominations for Ruiru MP, which he lost to Simon King’ara. This is a curse after he abused Raila Odinga a generous soul that picked him from poverty and made him a PM advisor before nominating to parliament where he earns 1million per month.

He garnered a megre4,632 votes while King’ara who got 10,900. He thought Ruiru residents will appoint him by abusing Raila.

The politician said on Tuesday that he used a lot of money and did not think it was less than this amount.

“My competitors might have used even more,” he said during an interview on Citizen TV, noting they have been on the ground for more than 10 years while he joined the race in February.

Mwaura noted aspirants cannot win elections without money as “running for office is very expensive in this country.”

“Some of the money was spent in kind; things I have been donating and programmes I have been running,” he said. “I will not lie to Kenyans…by the end of last year, I had spent about Sh20 million.”

While conceding defeat, Mwaura described his bid for a high level political office as a debut for a youthful aspirant living with albinism.

“This has its own challenges. It is never easy but someone had to do it. Someone had to be the first to pay the price and create a pathway of possibilities,” he said.

Mwaura’s campaigns were not without chaos. Pictures posted on Facebook last week showed the MP with a bruised left ear and the windows of his four-wheel drive car shattered.

Some reports indicated he suffered a gunshot wound but Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira dismissed the claims saying nobody used guns during the fracas.

Hon Mwaura must have learned his lesson !

Fellow Kenyans, Are You Better off Than You Were Four Years Ago?

It was just a matter of time before Jubilee started its concerted and desperate attempts to break up NASA which, given Kenya’s history of (political) coalitions, is a tenuous one at best. NASA is however, also a truer reflection of Kenya’s demographic than the ruling Jubilee Coalition.

Before I am accused of “advocating division among ‘patriotic’ Kenyans”, the inconvenient truth most “analysts” overlook or gloss over is that the NASA Coalition has, represented in its fold and at the national table, more regions and communities than Jubilee. Between Raila, Kalonzo, Ruto, Mudavadi, Wetangula and I’d add Hassan Joho to that list, NASA touches on a broader cross-section of Kenya/ns.

Contrastingly, the April 30, 2017 issue of the “Kenya Insights” wrote that an “emergency meeting instigated by the President and chaired by DP Ruto was convened…..to broker a deal that would cushion the shame of ethnic imbalance in the (Jubilee) constituency”: a complete antithesis of the party’s “tuko pamoja” slogan. It thus shouldn’t surprise anyone that Jubilee has an all-out effort on multiple fronts to peel off votes from NASA by impugning the character of its principals while scaring its Mt. Kenya/Central and Rift Valley base to turn out on election day. This is a strategy both Donald Trump AND Barack Obama used to perfection against Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney respectively.

Self-described “PhD and LLM students” of obscure “distant” colleges, “lawyers” and “analysts” (mis)quoting the Bible, dead western (European) philosophers and thinkers are buttering up those who were absent from the podium at Uhuru Park this past week, especially from the Kamba and Luhya communities with the ultimate goal of steering them away from the NASA orbit.

It, divide-n-conquer, is as predictable a ploy as it is ominous and NASA would be committing a fatal mistake were it to dismiss its seriousness including the claims that Raila is an “entitled”, “power-hungry” and “selfish win-at-all-cost” politician.

Show me a politician who is not driven (power-hungry), focused (selfish win-at-all-cost) operative and I will show you a non-politician. Likewise, show me a politician, especially in Kenya, who doesn’t have the sense of entitlement of an Odinga, a Kenyatta, a Moi, a Mudavadi, a Kibaki OR a beneficiary of the aforementioned and similarly, I will show you struggling wanna-be or hanger-on.

Raila is neither a non-politician nor a “wanna-be”. The story that he is “entitled”, “power-hungry” and “selfish”, like the narrative that he wants to “address corruption and historical injustices on the backs of his detractors” is fake and disingenuous . It is also designed to demonize and define him the way Trump and Obama demonized and defined Clinton and Romney respectively:

Remember “Crooked Hillary” and the “cold heartless corporate raider from Bain Capital”?

The unquestionable advantage NASA has over Jubilee is also the very element the latter is trying to deconstruct: The pentahedron of RAO, KM, MM, IR & MW (and HJ) should not make the same mistake HRC made last year – being complacent while trusting the polls. The five principals (+Joho) should immediately and aggressively move to solidify and unify their respective BUT disparate and unexcited bases. Three months is a lifetime in politics but NASA has very little margin for error.

Raila is a national figure with national gravitas so he has carte blanche throughout the country even Mt. Kenya!

Kalonzo also has a national profile but needs to focus on the Kamba vote. This is extremely critical given Francis Nzenze’s gripe that the “Kamba people got a raw deal” in the NASA line-up and the perceived slight because Ms. Ngilu and Mr. Muthama were not on the podium not to mention the fact that Gov. Mutua switched over to Jubilee – from NASA’s predecessor CORD.

Mudavadi and Wetangula should criss-cross Luhyaland while Ruto and Joho should flood Rift Valley, Coast and North Eastern.

Obviously, the visits should be coordinated with the local party officials because “all politics IS local” and more importantly, it’s about the very hard numbers which NASA can amass if it runs a focused and disciplined campaign.

Fortunately for NASA, Jubilee’s record of the past four years is self-evident for all to see allowing the 2017 Elections to be crystallized into this basic question for Kenyans:

Are You Better Off Than You Were 4 Years Ago?

I’d say “No” because Jubilee’s incompetent leadership has created personal and economic insecurity and hardship.

Did The NASA PENTAGON FORGET to UNVEIL an Equivalent of Uhuru Jubilee 36 BLOGGERS? The FAKE NEWS Doing Rounds Needs to be Contained !

Maybe it’s because I am not plugged into NASA’s inner workings but I am yet to see a coordinated and concerted cyber-effort by the National Super Alliance (NASA) to educated voters and more importantly, counter the spin and outright fake news put out by Jubilee’s famous “36 Bloggers” and/or their spawns.

I read somewhere that controversial blogger and one-time Uhuru Kenyatta critic Robert Alai has joined Jubilee’s cyberteam alongside Dennis Itumbi and Pauline Njoroge to name a few. If that is true, then it is further evidence that NASA really needs to up its game in the cyber field.

What’s particularly galling is that neither Alai nor Itumbi or Njoroge can engage OR sustain one in a substantive discussion on Jubilee’s policy positions. This is based on some of the posts and comments I have seen on social media – from them. These guys barely have the depth to explain why the corrupt and incompetent duo deserve a 2nd term.

That I am yet to see a viable, active and sustained social media presence from/by NASA, given the “target-rich” environment of the last 4 years, 100 days from the elections, does not inspire confidence.

A coordinated and sustained cyber campaign against Jubilee can choose from anyone of the following items – all within the last 4 years:

– corruption scandals that go all the way to the president’s house & implicate his very family,
– scandals – ethical and personal – swirling around the deputy president,
– excessive borrowing not commensurate with projects initiated,
– rampant insecurity and extra-judicial killings,
– drought,
– famine

All this as the president “dabs” and attends Formula One races in Dubai!

This Is Why Kenyans MUST Send Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta and Mr. William Ruto PACKING!

August 8, 2017 is less than three months away and review of Jubilee’s 2013 campaign manifesto is due. The article titled “Harmonized Coalition Manifesto – Transforming Kenya: Securing Kenya’s Prosperity 2013-2017” offers the following promises from the four (4) erstwhile coalition partners:

– Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta offered to “unleash the energy, dynamism and strength of the Kenyan people.”
– Mr. William Ruto promised to “deliver change in the key areas which represent the (country’s) core ideals…..”
– Ms. Charity Ngilu, the sole woman in the quartet was confident that the coalition would offer “new solutions” that “address many of the wrongs in (Kenya)”.
– Mr. Najib Balala, cognizant of the insecurity plaguing the country committed “bold leadership and bold decisions” to address the “insecurity…..and porous borders”.

Summarized, Jubilee Coalition offered a platform that promised to:

1) Put food and clean water on every Kenyan table.
2) Create wealth.
3) Ensure that every child in Kenya gets quality education
4) Ensure that every Kenyan gets quality and affordable healthcare.
5) Empower Kenyan women to take their rightful place in developing this country.
6) Develop a cogent foreign relations and trade policy for Kenya.
7) Keep Kenya safe and secure both internally and externally.

Reviewed against the last four years, only the most partisan would conclude that Jubilee has delivered on its campaign promises. In a survey conducted by the polling firm IPSOS Research, Kenyans listed (a) hunger, (b) corruption and (c) the high cost of living as their main concerns.

On the promise to (1) “put food and clean water on every Kenyans table” and (2) “create wealth”, a plurality of Kenyans surveyed concluded that the ruling party had not delivered.

Additionally, using the persistent scandals that have plagued Kenya’s institutions of learning as benchmarks, it is not unreasonable to conclude that Jubilee has failed to deliver on its assurance (3) “that every child in Kenya (will) get quality education”.

Jubilee’s pledge to (4) “(E)nsure that every Kenyan gets quality and affordable healthcare” would be laughable if it did not directly impact human lives. Former President Mwai Kibaki’s trip to South Africa for “specialized treatment” and the many reports of Kenyans stuck in foreign countries, unable to pay for medical services already rendered say it all: Jubilee has not delivered on said pledge and as usual, efforts at providing healthcare were engulfed in scandals, this time implicating the president’s immediate family!

One would be hard-pressed to argue that women took (5) “their rightful place” in developing Kenya given Gov. Kidero’s assault on Ms. Rachel Shebesh and Moses Kuria’s vile threat against Mbita MP Millicent Odhiambo. The country also witnessed the sexist personal attacks against former Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru and Esther Passaris (with host Jeff Koinange’s tacit acquiescence).

In the one bright spot for Jubilee, I’d offer that Kenya developed (6) “cogent foreign relations and trade policy” albeit at a price.

Besides successfully rallying the African Union (AU) to save Mr. Kenyatta and Mr. Ruto in their crimes-against-humanity cases at The Hague, the highlight of Jubilee’s 1st term saw outgoing American President and part-Kenyan Barack Obama bring the full prestige and might of the American Presidency to Kenya.
Mr. Obama’s visit was followed by that of the equally popular global icon Pope Francis. The country also hosted a series of high profile international gatherings including the Tokyo International Conference of African Development (TICAD).

And while President Obama prematurely lauded Mr. Kenyatta’s “war against corruption”, Pope Francis called out the rot that is land-grabbing and the “sugary taste” of ill-gotten gains thanks to endemic corruption.

Jubilee oversaw continuation of projects such as the over-priced Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) Project — set in motion BEFORE they came into office. The self-titled “digital duo” also oversaw mega-projects that required massive infusions of cash and the inevitable cost over-runs as party stalwarts and their acolytes got their cut of the respective tenders.

Finally, between 2013 to 2015, Jubilee was a party unable to (7) “keep Kenyans safe and secure” largely because of incompetent, ill-equipped, unprofessional and scandal-plagued trigger-happy law enforcement and security apparatus — unsurprisingly led by corrupt and incompetent leadership. Not only was Mr. Kenyatta’s government unable to hold accountable corrupt and incompetent security and law enforcement personnel, the president and his national security team seemed incapable of formulating a coherent strategy in response to the repeated attacks.

Summarized, the following images crystallize the last four years of Jubilee’s time in office:

A). Deadly attacks by al-Shabaab extremists while the president takes in an F1 race in Dubai.
B). A chastened presidential confidante and former CS Anne Waiguru pressured to resign because of misappropriated billions under her watch.
C). An churlish and defeated President Kenyatta passing the (corruption) buck onto everyone except himself during a “summit” on corruption even as he gloats about “eating meat” while his opponents “salivate”.
D). Members of Parliament flying to Germany to seek treatment for injuries sustained during a fight in parliament while Kenyans raise funds for trips to India or SA for treatment or worse yet, succumb to easy-to-treat ailments because of inadequate health facilities.
E) Kenyans dying of thirst and hunger.
F) The cost of Unga up 176%, Milk up 163%, Paraffin up 133%, Sugar up 200%, Water (20ltrs) up 400% and Electricity up 120%
G) National Debt from KSh. 1tn to KSh. 4trn up 400%

If the foregoing doesn’t send Jubilee home on August 9, then Kenyans deserve another 5 years of the same incompetence!

Its About Time to Forget about Party Nominations, What Lies ahead of us is BIGGER Than You can Imagine…

Good Morning friends. The truth is that the primaries left some of us bruised and bitter. It might not have gone as we had anticipated. And probably you’re right by insisting that we should have done better; we should have been more transparent. There are those who’ve felt cheated and shortchanged in the process. Be as it may, these are challenges that we have to grapple with as NASA affiliate parties.

However I want to remind you of the higher cause. I want to bring your attention to the greater agenda. We have set out to dismantle the current political economic system. The August polls cannot be reduced to whether your gubernatorial candidate lost or won. Far from it. The August polls will be about determining the trajectory this country is going to take for the next five years.

The August polls are about ensuring that no family will ever make the hard choice of either buying breakfast for their little kids or buying medicine. This election will be about ensuring that a university graduate who passed through Starehe will never have his worth and dignity diminished by being forced to live the life of a vagabond because of no jobs. Let us not forget that August is about making sure that no mother will ever sell their one-year old baby at 80,000 bob to take care of two five-year olds at home.

And so I directly appeal to you; let us not argue on social media over primary candidates and block each other in rage. Look at how Jubilee supporters are able to join forces seamlessly and rally behind the party regardless of their dissatisfaction with the manner in which their primaries were handled.

Comrades, we need to stop the squabbling. We need to unite for this election. We cannot sit out the next five years and allow this economic destruction to continue in the hands of Jubilee. If it means swallowing our pride and egos just for a moment, we’re going to have to do it. We cannot afford to allow the ongoing discussions around the primaries to become hateful and drive us apart. There are many more Senatorial, Gubernatorial and Parliamentary elections to come, where we will do better.

But we have to agree that right now; at this point in time, the general direction that we want to take this country is bigger than all of us. Let me tell you something folks, its easier for us to be dissuaded. The odds might sometimes appear stacked against us. At those moments, let us look inside and search for the reason why we are marching, because there are no stops to this train. So how much are we all prepared to take?

Let us study our history as a people. The evolution of our own democracy has been interwoven with struggle, strife, zealotry, compassion, love and endurance. It is the last word that has propelled us to where we are today. You have endured. As NASA, we can disagree on certain things without allowing them to divide. But today, I ask us to remain friends, to remain united as we keep our eye on the bigger ball, the general elections.

We’ve got to redeem our country folks. Good morning and God bless this land of Kenya.

MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU EVERYTHING, Is Uhuru Propaganda CRUMBLING? Read This post by One His Ex Online Soldier

I have authored beautiful articles on this forum about President Uhuru Kenyatta. And I meant every single one of them. Uhuru is a ‘cool’ guy. And I love cool. He has totally demystified the presidency. I’ve never met him in person. But friends who have tell me that when you’re around him, you won’t even realize that you’re around the President.

For the first time since independence, we’ve had a President who dabs, blushes when a supporter shouts “nakupenda” and stops to say hello to an old man who chauffered him when he was still a boy. He really is a likable character.

But in this country today, cool ain’t going to solve the problems we face. Dabbing cannot improve access to quality healthcare for the ordinary citizen. Photo-ops while eating Nyama Choma at roadside eateries has not created the 1 million annual jobs that Jubilee promised.

Smiling shyly at smitten female supporters has not changed the fact that today, Kenya scores poorly in the global corruption perception index compared to 2013. In a nutshell, under the cool, likeable and adorable President Kenyatta, this country is in a worse situation than it was five years ago.

Jubilee will point at SGR. Indeed, it’s the government’s poster project. What Jubilee will not explain is why this project cost 420 billion shillings while the Ethiopia Djibouti SGR line which is 100 km longer cost 340 billion shillings to construct. Jubilee will not explain why Kenyans still die of hunger when over 7 billion was pumped into the Galana-Kulalu irrigation project.

Jubilee promised Laptops for kids within their first five years in office. That promise is yet to be delivered. Don’t think the Laptop rollout has been delayed because of budgetary shortfalls. No! This project is experiencing delays because of infights within President Kenyatta’s administration on who will benefit most from the tendering process.

The cost of living is simply unbearable. Can you imagine that a government fails to create opportunities for it’s people and if that is not enough, goes ahead and starves them? In the meantime, insiders like Waiguru are able to orchestrate massive heists and walk away without facing prosecution. I don’t know what you call it but this is simply wrong and unacceptable.

I might not be comfortable with NASA out of purely personal reasons. But this country is greater than my feelings and attitude. It’s not about whether I like NASA. It’s about whether NASA has the ability to transform this country. At this moment in time, I believe it does. Raila is not cool. He is an old man who slurs in his speech. But let’s look beyond cool. Can he deliver? Can he get the job done? If he can, then our little personal feelings about him notwithstanding, let us support him.

For once, let us put tribal considerations aside, let us put our feelings aside, let us ignore our misconceptions​ and biases. For the sake of this country and for the sake of posterity let us all rally behind NASA. If Jubilee could not perform in the past five years, don’t be mistaken into believing that they will deliver in the next five.

I’m proud to have studied at the ONLY University not named after dead people.But SONU is dead,and it didn’t die a natural death. It was killed by the adminstration after I left. Pray for SONU.

On Embakasi East, my people disappointed the former dishonorable MP and appointed me. Yes, the fly that patches on the scrotum must be handled delicately.Whether quail eggs fall on the balls or the balls fall on the quail eggs,it is the quail eggs that break.

My opponents were puppets of the satan. And God was dissapointed with them. He had to call me to come and send them to oblivion. They were disloyal to the people. And the voice People is the voice of God.

I was voted in overwhelmingly. My opponent was competing with spoilt votes and was multipled by zero to power infinity. The Power of Embakasi People can only be rivalled by God’s Power. Kenya Power, Pakapower and Power plus cannot match the power of my people.

Time has come for change, the Embakasi East needs change. A man cannot uses a condom twice. I shall work for my people with zeal and zest like the uncastatrated bulls of Spain.

The people of Embakasi Tibim. I won’t let you down.
