I’m going to start by saying that for me, it doesn’t really matter if Raila becomes the next Kenyan President or not. That’s a secondary consideration. What has happened today following the ruling of the Supreme Court is bigger than any one man. What has happened today was the biggest single statement of patriotism and justice that we have witnessed in 54 years of our existence as a country. It is a statement about respect for the rule of law, a statement about the intolerance of impunity, a statement about accountability of our institutions and the respect of our democracy.

David Maraga, Philomena Mwilu, Smokin Wanjala and Isaac Lenaola have to take their rightful place in the history of this country. They have to be recognized for their immeasurable contribution to saving this country from cannibalizing itself. Their decisions and judgement has to be taught to every single Kenyan child so that they learn the importance of the strict adherence to the rule of law and democratic accountability.

The decision today is the beginning of the end for impunity and the “Mtadoism” culture. Now is not the time to celebrate and make merry. Now is the time to dig in and make sure that the resident bandits who believe they own the predatory state do not have a chance to fight back. We have to step on their necks with extreme prejudice while they’re down. We have to make sure that we kill and bury the demons of the hegemony, impunity and corruption that have plagued this country since independence.

Those demons have stolen the hopes and dreams, the aspirations and expectations of millions of Kenyans. Those demons have exploited the fears and insecurities of Kenyans as a collective. We will never get another opportunity to crush these demons and start the process of building and shaping Kenya to what we want it to be.

Our work doesn’t stop with another election. I submit to you that we’ve got a hell of a lot of work to do. The four justices have done their job. It’s now up to us to do ours. It’s often said that politics has to be the second job of every single citizen. Today’s decision will have sent shock waves within the political class. We need to use this as an opportunity to make sure these politicians know that this country has changed. That we will no longer be oppressed and abused by them. That we will no longer tolerate their impunity, theft of public resources, corruption, incompetence and malfeasance.

All of us, individually and collectively must take a concerted effort to ensure that the decisions politicians make, the decisions state and public officers make, the money that we entrust to them is used properly for the public good. They must be able to understand that they work for us and are not demi-gods. They must be able to understand that they’re public servants. We all have to do our part to make them accountable.

To all the “Raira wirr neffa be Plesident, neffa effer” brigade. Get your heads out from the place the sun don’t shine. This isn’t about Raila. This is about you, it’s about me, it’s about the destiny of 46.05 million people who have inalienable rights that must be respected by constitutional duty bearers. This 72 year old man has done his job. Lest we forget, part of that job has been to give you the absolute right to abuse and insult him if you want. Raila’s fight and personal sacrifice for social justice in this country will unfortunately only be fully appreciated long after he’s gone. It’s now time for us to do our job with sobriety and ensure we carry out our responsibility for civic duty.

That duty starts with all Kenyans of goodwill pressuring the Director of Public Prosecution to do his job. Wafula Chebukati, Esra Chiloba, all the Commissioners of the IEBC and all the Directors and senior staff of the IEBC secretariat must be charged with conspiracy and an attempted coup d’état. What they conspired to do and carried out before, during and after the 8th August election is nothing short of treason. If Kiriako Tobiko is not willing or able to do his job, then he must step aside for someone who is willing and able to do the job.

Today was a good day for justice. God bless Kenya, God bless the justices of the Supreme Court.

BREAKING: Uhuru’s Foreign Backers USA and Europe DUMP him, Lauds Cought for NULLIFYING Elections

Heads of Missions in Kenya from 24 Countries among them the U.S., Britain, Germany, Italy and France have lauded the Supreme Court ruling saying it has demonstrated Kenya’s resilient democracy and commitment to the rule of law.

Led by the U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec and the British High Commissioner Nic Hailey, the Heads of Missions say the Supreme Court’s decision on the presidential election is an important moment for Kenya.

In a joint statement to newsrooms, the envoys noted that all electoral processes can be improved further pledging their support to continue supporting Kenya’s institutions in this important work.

In their view, the envoys say that the Country’s electoral institutions now must begin preparing for a new presidential poll later this year and ensure the process is free, fair, credible, and peaceful.

They have promised to stand with Kenyans during this historic time, as they reaffirm their democracy, which they say is an example for Africa and the world.

Raila NASA Statement On Supreme Court Ruling, Calls for Prosecution of IEBC Officials Who Bungled Elections

NASA STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT RULING
A VICTORY FOR KENYA:
Two weeks ago, we moved to the Supreme Court to challenge the declaration of Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the August 8 presidential elections.

We moved to the Supreme Court to lay before the world what we believed was compelling evidence of the making of a computer-generated leadership.

Now the Supreme Court of Kenya has spoken. This decision is precedent setting. It will reverberate across Kenya, the African continent and the rest of the world through the generations. Never again will impunity reign in Kenya. It is now clear that no one in Kenya is above the law.

A new Kenya has been born. And Kenya is once again leading Africa, as it so often does with its vibrant democracy (except at election time) and enterprise.

Chief Justice David Maraga will always be remembered for setting this exceptional example for all of Africa. Our judiciary now knows that they have the power, in law and with courage, to challenge the mighty powers too many African presidents wield against the will of their people.

We thank the Supreme Court for standing up for the truth and in the process lifting the image and profile of our nation with regard to the rule of law and judicial autonomy.

We also honor the two judges who dissented. We honor them for their courage in standing up for their opinion, which we respect. They have made our justice system stronger and steadied our march towards electoral democracy.

We salute our able legal team. We particularly pay tribute to the young boys and girls who spent countless hours poring over documents and who in the end established the IEBC fraud.

We remain grateful to all those who supported the cause for which we have fought.
With this courageous verdict we put on trial the international observers who moved fast to sanitize fraud. Their role must be re-examined, as it is highly politicized and currently puts status quo and “stability” ahead of credible elections. It is credible elections alone which will give us peace and stability.

Of course it wasn’t always like this. The US strongly supported Kenyans’ push for multiparty politics although it backtracked and quickly congratulated Mwai Kibaki on his “victory” in 2007. But thanks to the EU observers at that time, and some superlative reporting by international media, it quickly shifted course and then US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and British Cabinet Minister Lord Mark Malloch Brown travelled to Nairobi to promote the Kofi Annan led negotiation process. The US, UK EU then strongly supported the passage of the rights-oriented new Constitution. But after Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto election, our partners settled for the status quo.

The court’s proceedings in this case revealed the utter rot at the heart of our electoral commission and electoral process; it was blatant and third time in a row.

But it revealed the rot at the heart of the Kenya state as well. There is total impunity. Extra judicial killings continue. Corruption has reached stratospheric proportions. And there is little room for concern with the lot of the poor for whom life gets harder year after year.

What has transpired today is but the first step in ensuring electoral justice in Kenya. There are more fundamental decisions to be made in the days ahead; including who conducts the next elections.

It is now clear that the entire edifice of IEBC is rotten. Clear evidence shows that the Commission was taken over by criminals who ran the General Elections using the technology system and resulted in a computer generated leadership for the people.

It is now also clear that the CEO Ezra Chiloba, Directors Immaculate Kassait, Commissioner in charge of ICT Prof. Abdi Yakub Guliye, head of Legal affairs Praxidis Tororey, Ms Betty Nyabuto of Operations and John Muhati of IT were co- conspirators with in these criminal schemes. They must face criminal prosecution. We urge these IEBC officials who have perpetrated a monumental crime against the people to do the right thing and resign.

It remains clear to us that the real election results were never shared with the people of Kenya despite years of preparations for this election and billions spent on it. Somebody must take responsibility.

We will continue demanding that the servers that the IEBC refused to open despite court orders be opened. The truth is a critical component of justice. Kenyans must know the truth of what transpired in this election and that truth is contained in the servers that IEBC is hanging on to. The ruling today shows that when there is justice, peace prevails. Our country still needs a cure for electoral impunity.
As we said about a week ago, the Supreme Court ruling, even as we welcome it, will not bring to justice those who plotted and executed the theft of votes.

It will not bring to justice those who murdered Chris Musando in order to steal votes. It will not hold to account those who sought to cow us into submission by unleashing terror in Mathare, Kibera and Kisumu.

Stealing of elections in Kenya is a manifestation of the culture of political impunity, an impunity that the IEBC willingly and gladly participated in. The perpetrators of 2017 electoral theft were emboldened by the fact that those who stole the 2013 elections have gone unpunished.

As we said earlier, we saw some of them at the Bomas of Kenya; experts in electoral fraud supervising their second electoral fraud which has now been brought to naught. A cure has to be found.

As a country, we urgently need to discuss how we will conduct the upcoming elections. As IEBC itself has said, many changes must be made in the Commission before we hold another election. But this cannot be an assignment to be carried out by the Commission. Political parties and stakeholders must come together and agree on these changes. We call upon parliament to adopt a bipartisan spirit in order to expedite reforms that may be required. It is our hope that this development can help us find common ground going forward.

NASA must immediately stop the celebrations, enough already. I would hate to be here 60 days later lamenting and crying over what we could have done.

Jubilee is more superior in terms of strategy, and we must now talk, strategy, strategy, strategy not Tibim, tialala or siarara.

We must immediately interrogate the perfomance of the NASA secretariat, retain the perfomers and let go the joyriders, elections are not won they are crafted, woven, and seamlessly put together, clear messages must be packaged from the HQ and disseminated to every county and corner. The old the young, the disabled, the jobless, the women, the hopeless must be invigorated and feel catered for.

Many of the NASA Governors and MPs who were “rigged” out by this incompetent, filthy, and weak IEBC must be encouraged to appeal and fight for truth.

Msando’s widow must be brought on board to join the journey to Canaan, her eloquent voice must reverbarate across our nation, as a proof that evil will never triumph, that the truth shall never be silenced.

That NASA must unequivocally demand within the next one week the disbandment and prosecution of the IEBC and its commissioners. Chiloba must be recruiting to a modelling agency not anywhere near managing an election. Shindwe !

Raila must immediately constitute 47 county secretariats, to run, guide and manage his campaign and be responsible for crafting relevant campaign messages that must be distributed in local radio stations, churches, villages, rallies, house to house etc. They must be tasked with selecting party agents across all the 40,883 polling stations who will guard form 34A with their life and voice. That is where we win or loose.

That God must be elevated to the centre at all times. Let a campaign like no other be rolled out and the main message must be Truth vs lies, light vs darkness.

A historic decision at the courts must be followed by a historic decision at the ballot.
