10 Ways On How To End Tribal Animosity In Kenya

1. Create a presidency that revolves around tribes so that each tribe is constitutionally mandated to produce a president. A tribe that has produced a President will constitutionally be required to stay in line until each tribe has tasted presidency.

2. Presidential term limit should be reduced from two terms of 5 years each to one term of 4 years.

3. Politicians should be required by law to run for office in a constituency that is outside of their own tribe. Take M.P’s Moses Kuria and Otiende Amolo. The former would run for office in Siaya and the latter in Kiambu. Same would apply to MCA, Women Rep, Senators and governors.

4. The percentage of funds disbursed by the national government to county governments be significantly increased from the current inconsequential percentage to 50%.

5. Each and every administration should have zero tolerance to corruption and afford equal opportunity to all regardless of one’s tribe.

6. Each and every administration must be required by law to include officials from ALL tribes of Kenya.

7. Intermarriages between tribes should be strongly ENCOURAGED with incentives given to those who marry outside of their tribe.

8. Regular cultural exchanges between tribes should be highly encouraged with government sponsorship given to sustain the program. This will ensure people from different tribes are afforded opportunity to socialize and diffuse unnecessary tribal tensions.

9. In order to graduate from high school, students must be required to attain a semester of inter-tribal experiences by volunteering for a community service outside of their own tribe.

10. Finally, a national conference comprising of people-centered delegates from every tribe in Kenya be convened to discuss how we can demystify tribe-centric country by amplifying nation-centric country. Perhaps this conference can define and affirm national values that will bind us together as one people so as we can attain a new nationalistic identity.

BREAKING: Big Boost For Raila As Governors Join The Resistance Movement

A CALL TO PEOPLE’S ASSEMBLY AND OPERATIONS OF NRM;

Governors from the National Super Alliance today approved the Coalition’s plans to set up a People’s Assembly and initiate a review of the Constitution particularly to safeguard and strengthen devolution in line with the pronouncement by Principals earlier this week.

The Governors who met earlier today in Nairobi agreed to take the proposal to their county assemblies for approval and mobilize grassroots leaders to the conference when it is convened.

The People’s National Assembly will comprise Governors and Deputy Governors; members of the Senate, National Assembly and County Assembly; religious, trade union and civil society leaders; and representatives of youth and women organizations.

It is to constitute a convention to be held in Nairobi to discuss and determine the pathway to democracy and constitutionalism and to restore legality and the rule of law.

The convention shall make decisions and recommendations to achieve democracy, constitutionalism and to restore legality and will form any bodies or organize other platforms for purposes of attaining its declared objectives.

During the meeting presided over by NASA principals Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, the governors were also briefed on and approved the Coalition’s plan to form a special committee to review the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to address the following matters for purposes of making necessary constitutional amendments or changes:-

1. Protection of and safeguarding devolution. Governors expressed deep concern about the operations of the devolved units and cited frustration with the non-disbursement of funds to the counties. They pledged to back any efforts, including constitutional amendments that will shield counties from the stifling hold of the National Government.

2. The architecture and structure of the Executive and Parliament.

3. Exclusivity and discrimination in the allocation or distribution of public resources.

4. Review the performance of national security organs and the abuse thereof by the Executive.

5. Structure and the establishment of an independent electoral body.

6. Creation of an enabling and conducive environment for economic growth and development to deal with poverty, unemployment and problems of women and the youth.

Governor Sonko Rescues Six Migori NASA Protestors From Hospital Detention Over Medical Bills

Five NASA protestors who were stranded at St. Joseph Omboo Mission hospital over unpaid bill are now relieved after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko settled their bill amounting to Ksh.263, 341.

The six people who has been identified as Benard Otieno Ojwang,Dave Ouma Okongo,Collins Ochieng ,Jacob Odhiambo ,Hezron Kirongo and Harrison Ochieng has been hospitalized at St. Joseph Omboo Mission hospital from last week Friday when they were shot by the police during the anti-IEBC demonstration in Migori town.

Each of the patients released also received ksh.10, 000 for transport back home from Governor Mike Sonko.

The patients have expressed their gratitude to Sonko and also to Radio Ramogi through which their plight was highlighted.

They appealed to the government to protect the citizen from police brutality saying that it’s unfortunate to attack individuals who are expressing their right as enshrined in the constitution.

The six patients are among the over 15 people that were shot by the police during last Friday’s anti-IEBC demonstration in Migori town that also left one person dead.

Before the last 8/8/2017 election I mentioned here that NASA had terribly miscalculated there antics in Nyaribari Chache MP seat and fielded 5 candidates.

Jubilee fielded one Candidate, hon Richard Tongi.Final results, the Jubilee candidate snatched it.

The issue of transparent nomination costed NASA all seats in Gusiiland and Kitutu Chache South doesen’t seem like an exception.

In Kitutu Chache South it is categorically clear once again that Richard Onyonka and Samuel Omwando will lose to Anthony Kibagendi on 7 November for that simple reason.

Joint nominations have always been a nightmare to the largest coalition in South of Sahara and North of river Limpopo – NASA.

In future, NASA must seat down and put its house in order if they expect to beat Jubilee.

Uhuru in PANIC As Raila Set To Call For One Million-Man March to Launch NASA Uprising for ‘Liberation

NASA leader Raila Odinga is planning a One-Million-Man march in Nairobi early next month as he starts a multi-pronged rebellion against President Uhuru Kenyatta. The march will be preceded by the inaugural convention of the People’s Assembly.

The People’s Assembly will be a broad-based forum of elected leaders, civil society workers, religious leaders, women, youth and economic interest groups.

KT has established that the opposition pushed the anti-Uhuru uprising to next month to allow the completion of the KCPE and KCSE exams.

The KCPE candidates will finish their exams today. The KCSE exams will start on Monday and end later this month. Some analysts say the opposition’s rebellion against the government could plunge the country into uncharted waters and a perilous future.

The march is supposed to build momentum for a revolution against Uhuru’s administration.

Governor Sonko Sacks Two City Hall Officials Over Hawkers Menace

Two Nairobi county officials have been sent on compulsory leave over the hawkers menace.

Albert Kipkoech and Chrispine Caleb were allegedly under instruction to sabotage Governor Mike Sonko’s government.

Acting county secretary Leboo ole Morintat said in a letter that the two allowed hawkers to block shops in the central business district.

This was while Caleb was acting operations director and Kipkoech the acting deputy.

“You are hereby instructed to proceed on compulsory leave with immediate effect and not later than November 2 until you are recalled,” the letter read.

Morintat asked Peter Mbaya, the senior inspector at City Hall, to take over from Kipkoech.

“You will monitor and plan operations in the 17 sub-counties, prepare the department’s operations and enforce laws within all the sub-counties,” he said.

Mbaya will also discipline workers and attend meetings on departmental operations.

Nairobi residents have complained as hawkers take over most pavements to sell their wares throughout the week.

Residents and business owners say this interferes with operations and want Sonko to find a solution.

During his swearing-in, the Governor issued a proposal to reorganise hawkers in the town centre.

The plan involves identification, digital registration and licensing before allocation of space, and will be complete by December.
