WHY TEARGASSING Raila was a GRAVE MISTAKE for Uhuru

By G Oguda
My father has just called me from the village asking if I am safe. He says they have just watched Raila Odinga being teargassed on television and that the people down in my village aren’t happy with that footage.

He has asked me whose idea it was to teargas Raila Odinga; and I have told him I was in meetings the whole day, I haven’t even got time to watch the news.

You see.

Raila Odinga is not Uhuru Kenyatta or William Ruto whom you can slap in the face and life goes on like nothing happened. If anything happens to Raila Odinga right now – and this is not any whimsical scaremongering – I am not even sure my quiet village of Jimo, in the rocky terrains of Seme, will be a safe place to stay in. It is in the interest of every Kenyan, therefore, regardless of which corner of this country you come from, to try and plead with this government to safeguard the security, and life, of Raila Odinga – with evrything they have.

In 1968, when New York Senator Robert Kennedy was assassinated by Sirhan Sirhan, a 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant living in NY, the Laws governing the US Secret Service were immediately repealed to allow for the round-the-clock Secret Service protection of presidential candidates and their family members. Prior to the repealing of that Act, presidential candidates, and their families, did not receive Secret Service protection.

While assenting to the new amendment, then president Lyndon Johnson said, and I quote; “protection of a candidate/nominee is designed to maintain the integrity of the democratic process and continuity of government…”

And it is not only in America that the assassination of a presidential candidate will interfere with the ‘continuity of government’. My father tells me that I am young to know these things, but if anything happens to Raila Odinga right now, even if he was to be swept away by the raging floods while sleeping in his Karen home, this country will not be the same again.

September 3, 1939 Sir. Winston Churchill stepped into a stormy House of Commons and delivered the Speech aptly named the ‘War Speech’, in which he cried, and I quote;

“…this is not a question of fighting for Danzig or fighting for Poland. We are fighting to save the whole world from the pestilence of Nazi tyranny and in defense of all that is most sacred to man. This is no war of domination or imperial aggrandizement or material gain; It is a war, viewed in its inherent quality, to establish, on impregnable rocks, the rights of the individual, and it is a war to establish and revive the stature of man.”

It is exactly 5 days to the 71st anniversary of Adolf Hitler’s death. If Nazi Germany fell, and Hitler drank cynanide poison in a lonely bunker canoodling his wife, I can assure you here, and now, that no tyranny lasts forever. ‘A drunken fowl has not met a mad fox.’

“If we rise, we rise with honour. If we fall, it must be so.” – Aristophanes; The Frogs.

BREAKING: Video, Raila and CORD Leaders STORM IEBC offices as Police Use TEAR GAS to DISPERSE Thousands of Protesters

Police guarding the IEBC’s offices fired teargas at Opposition leaders on Monday to keep them from storming in to remove commissioners.

Among leaders who took part in the protest were chief Raila Odinga, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Senators Moses Wetang’ula (Bungoma), James Orengo (Siaya) and Anyang’ Nyong’o (Kisumu).

One of the protesters attempted to climb the gates before they were dispersed by police.

Raila earlier accused the Jubilee government and the IEBC of arguing against reforms for a democratic electoral system.

The Cord leader said changes being pushed by the Opposition are aimed at reflecting the will of members of the public.

REVEALED: How Okari set Betty up for public ridicule

While Betty Okari’s marriage to Dennis Okari has been blamed on a non-existent politician, sources close to the duo have told Kenya Today the true reason the two broke up, contrary to popular belief, is that Okari is a serial womanizer.

According to these sources (whom we must disclose appeared credible but sympathetic to Betty), the final split isn’t the first time the two were ‘breaking up’ as it has been happening.

The relationship had been riddled with accusations and counter-accusations of unfaithfulness and promiscuity. Betty had in most instances ‘forgiven’ Okari whom she had allegedly learnt was actively philandering with a female journalist from radio Africa Group called Grace Msalane, a former presenter with Kiss TV, and others.

Days to the wedding, the two are alleged to have almost exchanged blows when the issue came up, but each wanted to have a ‘grand wedding’ so matters were swept under the carpet to give way for one of the grandest public display of ‘lip-kissing fakery’ stunt ever pulled on Kenyans.

When after the wedding matters returned to where they were, Betty couldn’t take it any more. While Okari was the main reason for the split, the sources told us he rushed to the press to forestall any adverse mention of him, and turn public ridicule to Betty. If anything, he argued, it is better for her to be on the defensive than n the offensive, where her species (read women) would have rallied behind her with all they got in a country where women never lose such battles to men.

Okari also skilfully added the ‘politician’ rider, effectively giving the dog (in this case a ‘bitch’) the final rope to hang herself.

“There was no politician involved. He brought that up, he manufactured it to thicken things up and set her for public ridicule” the source told this writer.

PHOTOS: The Curse of Protecting IEBC offices catches up with GSU police as HEAVY RAINS strike

Police have been deployed to guard IEBC offices following threats by Cord to forcefully eject commissioners ahead of the 2017 poll.

Coalition leader Raila Odinga claimed the commission helped Jubilee rig the last general election and paralyse the Okoa Kenya referendum initiative.

He told a rally at Kamukunji grounds on Saturday: “We have rejected the referee. Seventy per cent of Kenyans have rejected the referee. The clergy has rejected the referee, tell me any other reason why they should be in office.”

Police said the officers are under instruction not to allow any protesters near Anniversary Towers in Nairobi, where the IEBC’s offices are.

WHY Uhuru SYCOPHANTS Must Not SWING into Supporting IEBC as Raila moves to EJECT Impartial commissioners

By Steve Waiganjo

Kenyans need to grow up and know how to engage their brains, not falling line hook and sinker for what politicians say. I mean lets reason like intellectuals on some of these contentious issues! Let’s take this ‪#‎IEBC‬ issue for instance.

‪#‎RailaOdinga‬ and ‪#‎CORD‬ want the body disbanded, before you shut him up out of ethnocentrism as you have been taught seek to interrogate his reasons!! I have seen mental bassilists urguing that Odinga has always complained even in the past elections always blaming the ECK then and the IEBC in the last election. …so its an issue of formed attitude against him as a person without decoding and deciphering his reasons.

Let’s face it, even if we have NO ANY OTHER excuse to get rid of the current IEBC, these guys aren’t straight. I mean we have a dossier and it has been proved that they used Oyombra Trevor to solicit for bribes from Smith and Ouzman before awarding the BVR kits contract! These guys should be behind bars like yesterday!

Unless you’re wallowing in a miasma of idiocy or thorough bred hate, you can’t fight to have these criminals at the helm of IEBC. I saw ‪#‎JohnsonSakaja‬ blubbering nonsense about procedures and all that , men are not made for laws but laws are made for men!

At times common sense should override archaic and bureaucratic procedures. ‪#‎WilliamSamoeiRuto‬ on the other hand saying IEBC will not vote so even with a new IEBC they will win again, and I say if you’re that confident disbandment of the IEBC shouldn’t bother you boiyot!

We need clean men to oversee the forth coming polls and that is not a request. Let politics be kept far from this issue.
