It is now clear that Mike Sonko has taken charge at the Capital and seems his powers are beyond those of an ordinary Governor, he comes across as more powerful than Kidero, what with government roads agency KeNHA obeying an order he issued just hours after being sworn into office.

Governor Sonko had demanded that the roads agency take necessary and immediate steps to remove punitive and uncessary speed pumps in major super highways.

Now, today KeNHA has issued the statement below to all media houses oblging to Sonko’s directive.

Dear Editor,

KeNHA would like to sensitize motorists and stakeholders that the Authority is undertaking maintenance works to standardise humps along Thika Superhighway to enhance smooth traffic flow and safety of pedestrians.

We urge motorists and pedestrians to cooperate with traffic marshals along the maintenance sites to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Further, the Authority wishes to announce that plans are underway to replace all the humps along the superhighway, bearing public procurement procedures, and availability and allocation of resources to undertake the works.

Public procurement procedures for various sites including Survey, Ruaraka and Witeithie have already commenced, and the Authority is in consultation with the respective stakeholders in undertaking this process.

The ODM comrades carpeting the party’s move to nominate one esoteric character, a Miss Chebeni, to the senate should blame themselves. They have always packaged themselves as sharecroppers and not shareholders; as choristers, online swordsmen, factotums, militias, mercenaries, fetchers of water, escorts of guests and worker bees who have no management role whatsoever to play beyond cheering those they think can lead. This is a very worrisome path indeed; a serious course of concern! When nominations for EALA cropped up, these very people instead of forwarding their names became annointers –in-chief of certain elitist interests, zealously furthering those interests in the weirdest of ways. Then a friend asked me: What’s wrong with these guys, don’t they believe in their abilities to lead, formulate their own agenda and canvas for it? I had no answer. Then nominations cropped up and people were supposed to apply. That is the time these comrades in their usual character went on a whirlwind politicking, anointing whom they thought was suitable and thoroughly excoriating others—I wonder why they personally believe these seats are too big for them and their only role must be limited to praise-singing, sycophancy, hagiography and lobbying. Mercy Chebeni was confident, strategic and tactical. She saw a position and applied for it, just like that—lady luck came smiling. Louis Pasture’s definition of luck is “When coincidence meets preparedness”. Instead of criticizing Mercy, her traducers should deal with their ego deficits and esteem shortfalls.—after all, the difference between a fool and a wise man is only sense of judgment while similarity is the talent. Chebeni, believed in herself, the good Lord only magnified her steps. Congrats. Omiyo, cheering alone is not your portion brother/sister; it’s time to believe in yourselves too…YES YOU CAN.

Even as Kenyans await the Supreme court ruling over the disputed presidential results that declared President Uhuru Kenyatta winner, Raila supporters are still optimistic that their candidate will win the case.

A Facebook page named Inauguration of Raila Odinga As the 5th President of Kenya has been created by the relentless fans.

The page already has more than 7,000 people who have stated that they are going to the event and at least over 47,000 people have shown interest in the event was however created before the elections.

The group’s description goes as follows, “The first inauguration of Raila Odinga as the 5th President of the Republic Of Kenya to take place on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. In Uhuru Park, Nairobi – KENYA. Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!”

IEBC’s declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the August 2017 elections immediately sparked protests across the country with over 20 people reportedly killed by police and several others injured.

It is also complemented with Raila’s image holding a bible in a manner indicating that he is being sworn in.

The supreme court has since warned both Raila and Uhuru to stop discussing the case before it until the case is heard and determined.

Who is Mercy Chebeni, ODM Youth Senate Nominee? Total Stranger to the Party Membership

Life is a constant struggle between a kek and a cuck, it is said.

And while at it, who is Mercy Chebeni, the ODM youth nominee to senate and what has been her role in our struggle?

If she has no history of struggle then maybe let’s know whose great granddaughter, granddaughter, daughter, sister, niece, cousin or concubine she is.
Let’s know if she is a widow of one of the many young people in ODM whose lives ended at the ricocheting of the gun, right there on the battle field.
Let’s know if she is the granddaughter of those venerables of Kenya People’s Union, whose love for country led them to a warpath with old Jomo.
Let’s know if she is one of the many legal assistants in the “law firms of the struggle”, such as JAB Orengo advocates, who toil in the shadows to put points of law together, for the great work of constitutionalism.
Let’s know if she is a cleaner in the many party offices and secretariats that keep the movement going.
And if she is someone’s concubine, that too is fine for we now know just how critical a young woman called Carol Wairimu Ngumbu was to the struggle, for she kept Chris Msando sane and focused, as he carried all those algorithms of democracy!
No role is insignificant.
So let the young people of ODM know Mercy Chebeni and her contribution, and honor and respect her for what, or who, she is.
It is true that a movement as broad and ubiquitous as ODM has cadres you can’t know but this other part is also true; if you are to represent young people – the heart and soul of our movement – at least a brief synopsis of your role, especially if you need introduction, should accompany your choice.
Our movement is losing its heart and soul because our movement is being taken advantage of.
Our movement is losing its “critical mass” because the rank of the movement is taking for granted the struggles waged by the file of the movement.
So I join those asking who Ms. Chebeni is!
Finally, as young person in ODM, the only thing you need to fear is fear Itself

Nothing has vexed me today like the irritating noise of young ODM supporters online over the nomination of Ogla Karani relative, Mercy Chebeni (congratulations), a stranger to them to represent youths in the Senate. They claim that there are youths who have toiled for the party for decades but have not been rewarded. SHUT THE FUCK UP! You should know your position in the party. By the way you’re a NOBODY. You’re just pawns in the larger game of chess. Give us peace. You should concentrate on making noise on social media, attending rallies, and swallowing bullets as you demonstrate. Nominations to Parliament is for the girlfriends and relatives of ODM fatcats, not Hoi polloi who sweat silly for the party on a daily basis. If you’re nominated to Parliament then who will shout haki yetu on the streets? Lanes please! Lanes! Stick to your lane tafadhali.

Time To Rethink Secessionist Talk, It’s Complex With Serious Implications

With deep social ties to the landlocked Central Republic 🇸🇩 , which is where I was born and raised, anyone who knows me understands that am a big loser if the People’s Republic 🇸🇸 of Kenya were to secede.

My kids would need visas to visit their granma, plus my Kenyan certificates obtained right from nursery to my alma mater JKUAT may never be recognized in the new state.

Which is why we have to take this secessionist talk seriously, before it evolves into an aspiration of the 40 tribe coalition behind it.

You see in the 40s and 50s Kenyans yearned for independence, then in the 80s we yearned for democracy then it came briefly in 2002 before it became a charade, then we thought a new constitution and digital elections will help, but UhuRuto have learned how to skirt around the 2010 constitution to advance their mischievous and devious deeds.

Now, thanks to rigging, I can report that the 2010 constitution is on the verge of failing to unite us, and SECESSION talk is emerging as the new COOL- the new aspiration of the non presidential tribes. Uhuru’s best bet is persuasion and not state violence.

People have to sit down and renegotiate new terms of engagement. The bullet or instituting apartheid won’t resolve this new mess that Jubilee finds itself in. Firming up of agenda 3 and Chapter 6 will help reassure the People’s Republic to stay in the marriage.

I would vouch for us to sit and talk but should it become inevitable only the sitting president can ensure that the divorce is peaceful and amicable by just signing the paperwork and instruments of separation.
