IPSOS POLLSTER Tom Wolf chased from Nation, sells CHEAP poll to the Star

Last Week pollster Tom Wolf was at twin towers Nation Media Group offices on Kimathi Street making a presentation on a poll he wanted to sell to Nation.

He quoted sh3 million.

Midway in the presentation, it turned out that the poll he purported to sell to Nation had been done six months earlier.

He was shown the door.

Luckily he received a call from his fellow white boy William Pike, the Star Newspaper owner.

The Star, whose revenue has dwindled ever since it relaunched with most headline stories being pure propaganda, was desperate to have a poll fingering the opposition while at the same doing Jubilee a favour in these lean political times.

The Star has published the poll. Journalist Oliver Mathenge, a known Jubilee wanker, honoured it with his own byline.

Jubilee is desperate to show it still has a national grip. Nothing does this in Kenya like a poll showing you are ahead of your competitor.

“Jubilee would beat NASA”. That’s the poll.

What’s NASA?

Well, this is an alliance in the fertile imagination of the Tom Wolf, which they claim to be an expanded CORD. The other marketer of NASA is Prof. Peter Gitau Kagwanja, who has often used his space on Saturday Nation (or is it Sunday Nation?) to hypnotize about it.

There is a desperation to compare Jubilee with whatever alliance the opposition is mulling.

Never mind none of the three CORD leaders have talked about NASA.

Never mind many educated Kenyans know NASA to mean the National Aeronautics and Space Administration agency of the US government.

Here in Kenya, it doesn’t tick.

Yet a poll by Wolf, sold to the Star, purports to ask rural woman deep in Kirinyaga who have never heard about this animal called ‘NASA’ if it can defeat Jubilee.

Ipsos is a scandal, and remains the best pollaganda (propaganda polling) tool at Jubilee’s disposal. And Tom Wolf is both a scam and a scumbag.

The Star is playing along.

It is not known how, as an American citizen, Tom Wolf is one of the few local faces of Kenyan polling. In the run up to the 2007 elections, Ipsos, then known as Steadman, was the only poll showing Kibaki winning the election.

Later two studies by respected US researches found out that Wolf had been cooking the polls as there was no raw data to do an independent verification.

It later emerged that Lucy Kibaki had summoned Wolf to State House and locked him in the toilet for four hours.

Faced with deportation, Wolf yielded. Lucy Kibaki is dead.

Steadman’s dubious reputation became its undoing as no major corporate could hire it for market analysis. It then started doing paid up pollaganda to shore ratings of discredited governments. It eventually changed to Ipsos Kenya.

The same Ipsos still doing what Wolf has done all his life.

Pollaganda. Cheap Propaganda.
