Kendagor Obadiah, the lanky reporter with whiff at Jubilee news-gathering is among the casualties of the first week of March as Citizen TV offloads redundant journalists.
Kendaor has been sent to the ‘centre of inflation’ – as blogger Bogonko Bosire used to put it – alongside Pheona Kenga, Evelyne Wambui, and Patrick Injendi. No Obadiah no cry.
Obadiah is known in the political news circles as the JAP gate-keeper. Take it from me, he may likely end up in DP Ruto’s office as a communications assistant to another journalist, Emmanuel Talam, who already joined the Jubilee gravy train.
In the alternate, his journey to achieving his long time dream of becoming an Mpig may just kick off, but 2017 is so far for a journalists without an iota of clout, for, without the TV cameras, Kendagor Obadiah is a cooked meat.
Obadiah increasingly became a nuisance at CORD press conferences as he came laden with biased questions which he asked embarrassingly and was more often dismissed, causing Citizen TV a deep in viewers. He was, like many of the journalists nowadays, bidding for his political paymasters.
