Mwea MP Peter Giatu Njuguna and a woman alleged to be nominated TNA MCA from Kirinyaga county have been arrested for bribing voters in the ongoing Malindi by election. Njuguna, who was last Friday charged in a Kerugoya court with incitement to violence was nabbed early morning as he dished money to voters in exchange of IDs and voter’s cards.
Our sources reveal Jubilee has sent over 71 elected leaders (MPs, MCAs, governors) to Malindi in what is going down as the biggest voter bribery scam in any election in recent times.
In Kericho, several KANU agents have been turned away in a number of constituencies in what appears to be a chereographed ploy to rig the election. In Belgut constituency at sosiot social hall, Cheboror tea buying centre, Keben, Kaborok, Teldet, Chepkoin and Cheimen social hall, Kanu agents were turned away.
The same trend has been reported in Kipkelion East and Soin-Sigowet.
Meanwhile, ODM Director of Elections who was picked by police in his hotel room in Malindi town is still missing. Mr. Etale was picked at around 1 a.m in the night and driven toward Kilifi town.
