Reigning Miss World Kenya Roshanara Ebrahim (pictured) above has been dethroned, disgraced and replaced in the most uncouth manner with the shapeless Evelyn Njambi in what observers say is taking tribalism too far.
The culprit is Mrs Terry Mungai, the Managing Director of Ashleys, the franchise holder which manages the beauty pageants in Kenya. She must fall because she is a closet tribalist.
Mrs Mungai doesn’t believe in the beauty of others, or the fact that she can’t arrange sexual orgies between Kenyan beuties under her and sponsors. Kenya Today has gathered that Roshanara’s mistake was to scorn Mrs. Terry Mungai’s sex-starved friend who wanted to sleep with her, on arrangements by Mrs Mungai.
So disgusting has been the change of title that Evelyn Njambi was sworn in at midnight, bringing back memories of the 2007/08 post-election violence after Mwai Kibaki clung to power even after being thwacked by ODM’s Raila Odinga.
It is not clear if Njambi agreed to sleep with Mrs. Mungai’s friend.
For Ms. Roshanara, it is daylight robbery. Mrs Mungai wrote a resignation letter for Ms. Roshanara and forged her signature. She then sent the letter to selected media houses claiming Roshanara resigned voluntarily and acknowledged her failures.
“A grave situation has come to our attention that is in breach of our code of conduct and our contract with the reigning Miss World Kenya 2016 Roshanara . We uphold a strict code of conduct that expects beauty queens to manage their public and private life”.
Ms. Ebrahim’s purported resignation read:
“It is with great sadness that I accept the decision of Miss World Kenya office to relinquish me of my duties as Miss World Kenya 2016. I urge aspiring beauty queens to ensure their personal life does not affect their role as Miss World Kenya. I wish my successor the best as we look to clinching top position in the Miss World competition later in the year.”
However, Roshanara had now demanded Mrs Mungai retracts her forged letters and apologizes to her. Through the law firm of Mosota & Mokaya Advocates, Roshanara reminded Mrs. Mungai that forgery is a crime and that the title Miss World Kenya is neither her personal property nor a token from her.
“We want to remind you that the holder of the title Miss World Kenya is not your personal property that you can use and abuse in whatever manner you deem fit to further your personal and commercial interests,” reads the letter demanding immediate and unreserved apology from Mrs. Mungai.
Should status quo not be maintained, as it appears, there is going to be a legal battle of gigantic proportions, and a precedent set on how far the arbitrary powers of Mrs Terry Mungai can go.
Below is a video of the smart and eloquent Miss World Kenya.
