President Uhuru was in his characteristic restlessness when he launched the Jubilee merger today at State House Nairobi.
Chris Maina, a long time presidential observer has told Kenya Today he is 100 percent sure the President, who is known to never joke with alcohol, was terribly drunk.
“He was over-jovial, restlessness and his eyes said it all,” observed Maina.
The single Jubilee Party is an idea of Deputy President William Ruto who seeks to use it to canvass for votes in 2022. Many people in Mt. Kenya are not widely excited about it.
“The parties will hold a national delegates convention on September 8 at Safaricom Stadium Kasarani and Bomas of Kenya for delegates to consider and ratify the decisions,” said the President.
Some parties which have resolved to dissolve include Unity Party of Kenya (UPK), Republican Congress Party of Kenya (RC), Grand National Union (GNU), Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP), Alliance Party of Kenya (APK), United Democratic Front (UDF), New Ford Kenya, The National Alliance (TNA) and United Republican Party (URP).
