The campaign team for Jubilee Alliance in Wajir County is in limbo and have started a quick process of replacing it’s gubernatorial candidate following a revelation by this site that it is proposed candidate ambassador Mohamed Abdi Mohamud has no degree from a recognized university.
The team led by former minister and retiring Tarbaj MP Mohammed Elmi has presented the papers of one Ugas Shiekh Mohamed who was last year picked by his Fai sub-clan in a negotiated democracy spearheaded by the elders.
Another alternative candidate, Hon. Elmi himself does not also have a recognized degree and has only a diploma and a higher diploma in nursing.
By Wednesday, the documents of both Hon. Elmi and Ugas were presented at the Jubilee headquarters. The lack of running mate for the camp is also causing a lot of trouble.
After the recent president’s visit in Wajir, the Jubilee team was expected to make a tour across the county but the degree saga of their gubernatorial candidate and lack of a deputy governor have become huge obstacles
