Kasarani Nairobi senator Mike Sonko and his long-term girlfriend Mercy Gakuya were yesterday evening involved in a hotel drama at Kiza Hotel in Upperhill.
Sonko who is aspiring for Nairobi gubernatorial seat has previously been involved in sex drama with
various women including Nairobi Women Representative Rachel Shebesh.
An employee of the Hotel whose identity we cloak for security reasons told us that Sonko checked into the Hotel room no. 67 at around 9pm. A few minutes later, Mercy Gakuya the current Jubilee flag bearer for Kasarani Constituency joined him.
According to our snoop, drama ensued after the lady walked into the room. From the appearance, she looked disturbed. The two were heard quarrelling and the Mercy was accusing Sonko of having another woman who our sources are informed was vying for Nairobi Woman Representatives on a Jubilee ticket but failed during the nominations.
Sonko tried to calm the lady down but she didn’t want to listen. According to other housekeepers, Sonko slapped the lady and that is when she went wild and started shouting for help.
“Sonko mbona unanifanya madharau hivi? Si ninaskia hata jana mlikua na yeye Intercon vile tulitoka Rally Uhuru Park? Hata kama ulinisaidia nikashinda nominations hautanitumia vile unataka. Unajua kwanza mimi ni mpango wako wa kando na Bwana yangu ni Bishop? Unajua vile niko guilty? Mimi naweza amua nilipue kila kitu. Tupoteze sisi wote. Hutatuchanganyia damu hivyo” Said our snoop.
Luckily, the hotel’s foods and beverages manager was nearby and rushed to the scene. He managed to quell the chaos between the two politicians and warned the staff to keep whatever happened with them. Later, the duo left separately a few minutes to midnight.
Upon investigating further, we gathered that Mercy is among the beneficiaries of skewed Jubilee nominations where friends allied to the Deputy President were rigged-in at the detriment of hardworking politicians.
