“We shall rig, use force or buy voters to win 2017 elections” – Jubilee politicians vow

Jubilee Members of Parliament have vowed to use every means possible including force, stealing or buying voters, to retain the Presidency.

A video has emerged of a Mombasa gubernatorial seat aspirant confessing everything that Jubilee will never let CORD take over at the helm.

Suleiman Shahabal, while addressing a Jubilee rally over the weekend attended by Deputy President William Ruto, said that Jubilee Party must win in 2017.

t is worth noting that Jubilee Party was launched late 2015 and is Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election party.

“Now this time I am telling you the 2017 General Election we shall win, we shall win by force…we will steal, we will buy, whatever shall be are we together,” says Shahabal in the video seen by Kenya-Today.com.

Shahabal contested for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat in the 2013 General Election and lost to Hasan Joho.

He recently defected to Jubilee Party from the opposition coalition CORD.

The sentiments are bound to result ina heated debate in the political scene as the opposition will claim Shahabal’s statements are a direct indication the government has a plan to rig the 2017 elections

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are seeking to wrestle the Coast region from the opposition a year to the 2017 General Elections.

The Coast region voted overwhelmingly for Raila Odinga in the 2013 General Election although the voter turnout was marred by heightened insecurity incidents perpetuated by the outlawed Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) group.

Leaders from the coast region, where Uhuru has stayed since late December 2015, are said to be split on who to support in the 2017 presidential race.

Jubilee and CORD are expected to test their popularity in the coast region through the Malindi parliamentary by-election after the seat was left vacant following the appointment of Dan Kazungu to the Cabinet.
