President Uhuru arrived safe in Israel for a three day official tour, however his host Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu HAD NO TIME to receive him, not even a cabinet minister or junior minister. Uhuru was received by government officers upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The reception at the airport was so poor, worse than even when he visits Kisumu or Eldoret where the local governor and County commissioners are at hand to receive him.
Looking at the sorry photos shared by the presidency, one wonders how dozens of Kenyan living in Israel got access to receive Uhuru at the run-away. It’s like the president had just landed at some Airstrip in Nyeri and was being received by local SACCO officials.
Pundits are questioning why there was blatant disregard of protocol, is the President on official trip? if yes WHY is he not accorded a head of state/government reception? Can you imagine PM Netanyayahu coming to Nairobi and being received by a senior government officer like a director? or under-secretary and NOT even a foreign affairs minister?
Israel MUST BE TOLD to respect our Uhuru NKT!
The President later did a interview with a local TV station, an indication that the earliest PM Netanyahu will meet him is tommorow.
