One day after DP Ruto profusely apologized for dumping Kericho residents, the locals are still bitter and were not convinced of the execuses given.

We slept over what our beloved H.E DP Ruto and we are not convinced with the reasons given, we are not for sweet nothings, telling us that more than five top government appointments went to the relatives of Charles Keter becuase they were qualified is sheer arrogance- how can it be that in the entire county only Keter’s relatives are well educated? and to rub it in , he now wants that we again elect Keter’s nephew as Senator- how stupid can we be? seriously? – Alex Langat wondered

In Kericho town this morning and accross the tea plantations residents are making fun of the DP refering him to Yule Jamaa wa TUMETENGA (We have set aside funds for projects a b c d e … in Kericho)

In his apology the DP Ruto floated names of imaginary enemies; retired President Moi, CORD leader Raila Odinga and the nondescript Meru governor Peter Munya. He blamed Moi’s son Gideon and Governor Isaac Rutto for fuelling rebellion in Kericho.

Meanwhile Jubilee Candidate Aaron Cheruyoit woke up to a lonely morning after his ground intelligence hinted that most of his scheduled events today will be boycotted and even threats of violence in some areas. Later he was spotted waving to empty streets as locals coiled to their farms and regular business after yesterday DP’s tour.
