Nairobi County Chief of Staff George Wainaina has been arrested and is being grilled by detectives from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, over corruption claims.
Wainaina, together with his secretary, were arrested last night following a sting operation conducted at City Hall.
Wainaina was picked up from the All Saints Cathedral, where he was attending a funeral harambee.
The secretary was arrested after the EACC detectives claimed, she wanted to bribe Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko with 1 million shillings to remain silent over corruption issues.
EACC detectives are currently grilling Wainaina at his Karen home after he was released on cash bail .
