ODM MP for Mathare Constituency Stephen Kariuki has stated he will defend his seat on Jubilee Party ticket. The MP also said many ODM MPs have confided in him that they will ditch the Orange Party and seek re-election on Jubilee ticket.
He also claimed Uhuru is more popular than Raila, or any candidate CORD will present, and will easily win the 2017 elections.
“Uhuru and Ruto are more popular now than they were in 2013 and will easily win 2017 elections,” said Kariuki.
Though he got to parliament through heavy support of the Orange in a by election, Kariuki, who is son to Bishop Margaret Wanjiru (father unknown) rebelled against the party immediately he won. His mother, Bishop Wanjiru, has already moved to Jubilee and indicated he will vie for governor on a Jubilee ticket.
Kariuki is allegedly married to a member of the First Family.
