The much publicised Friday afternoon prayers for Governor Hassan Joho did not exactly go as per planned; Jubilee House Majority Leader Aden Duale and Interior Security CS Joseph Nkaisserry are reportedily said to have worked around the clock to have scuttled.
Hon Duale the senior most Muslim leader in Jubilee government (as Leader of Majority in the National Assembly he is ranked 3 most powerful political figure) could not just sit and watch Governor Joho take over the leadership of about about 1.6million Muslim votes.
Hon Duale and General Nkaissery prevailed upon Governor Joho not to attend the prayers and also called the organisers warning them of serious consequences. Embakazi MP Hon Sumra confirmed the calls to media after he led the prayer session that was conducted outside Jamia Mosque.
The Jamia Mosque committee also received calls from Nkaisserry and Hon Duale forcing them to agree to NOT ALLOW access to Joho supporters. And that is why Hon Sumra, Hon Aladwa, other organisers and Muslims were barried by the committee from entering the Mosque forcing them to do prayers right outside the Mosque.
