BREAKING: TREASURY CS Henry Rotich in TROUBLE for spreading ‘LIES’ on EUROBOND Theft

CORD REJECTS EXPLANATION BY THE NATIONAL TREASURY ON EUROBOND:
The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy has read the paid-up advert by the National Treasury appearing in the newspapers today, and which is a response to the issues raised by Hon Raila Odinga last Thursday, on the failure by the National Government to fully account for the proceeds of Eurobond.

CORD notes that the explanation by the National Treasury is nothing but a continuation of the campaign of lies and cover up over the funds and takes great exception to the continued misuse of taxpayers’ money to confuse the same tax payers.
CORD wishes to remind the Treasury that on matters of banking, confirmation of receipt, conversion of currency or transfer of public funds must come from the Central Bank of Kenya and no other institution.

As things stand, and in the advert, there is no single documentation and confirmation from the Central Bank of Kenya to back the claims by the National Treasury that the US$999,052,872.97, which CORD believes remains unaccounted for, was converted into Kenya shillings and received in Kenya.

All that the Treasury has put out is a spread sheet of the same letters whose veracity CORD disputes and whose numbering even the Treasury has admitted to be faulty.

These letters ARE NOT BANKING INFORMATION and therefore account for nothing on this matter.
CORD therefore retains its stand that US$999,052,872.97 remains unaccounted for, contrary to the advert by the National Treasury. In due course, CORD will be putting out a more comprehensive take on this matter.
