The NIS, Police and President Uhuru’s advance security team are doing Kenya a dis-service! It is only when a propagator of opposing political views enthusiastically welcomes his opponent and they hold their businesses undisturbed that you know democracy is well founded in a society.
I find it retrogressing for the President’s advance security team to with a show of might pull down banners in Malindi telling the President “Karibu Kilifi County, ngome ya ODM”. They should have let the President get welcome as colourfully expressed by ODM.
To me Kilifi County leadership was excited that the President was visiting them despite the County being an opposition zone. Mr President your team goofed here and goofed big. Shame on them!
