The CURSE of Eating With Waiguru Forces Hon Onyonka to DITCH ODM for Ford Kenya

By James Mbaka for the Star
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has ditched ODM party for Ford Kenya.

The outspoken second term lawmaker will now work with Moses Wetang’ula, a move coming five months after he rejoined the Orange party.

Hon Onyonka said he feared being rigged out of ODM nominations abd that will campaign for Raila since Ford Kenya is in NASA.

Onyonka made a hasty retreat last October and trooped back to ODM after two months of association with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party under the barner Kisii Unity (Obomo Bwo Omogusii) speahed by Charles Nyachae and senator Chris Obure.

Ford Kenya is a member of the National Super Alliance (NASA). Raila, Wetang’ula, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), and Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) are its key leaders.

Hon Onyonka will deputise Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale at the party. Khalwale is the party’s deputy leader.

“I am extremely happy and proud of this. I will give it my best shot,” Onyonka told the local media during a phone interview.

The MP accused ODM leaders in Kisii county of planning to rig him out of the April nominations. However most of his constituents termed his exit a strtaegy to cover for the money he recived from Jubilee and that he was under pressure from Statehouse to make good his promise of ditching odm.

“I have absolutely no outstanding issues with the ODM leader (Raila). My fear is the nominations will not be free and fair,” Onyonka said.

BREAKING: COURT ORDERS Uhuru Police and DPP to STOP HARASSING Governor Joho Till Application he filed is heard and Determined

The high court in Mombasa has issued orders to the Police/CID and Director of Public Prosecution not to arrest governor Ali Hassan Joho on forgery charges until an application he filed is heard and determined.

Governor Joho’s advocates Mesirs James Orengo (SC) and Mr Mosota

The orders by Justice Eric Ogolla at the Mombasa High Court bar all govenment institions Uhuru was using like the Police, DCI and KRA from interfering with Joho’s constitutional rights.

They were issued on Friday pending hearing and determination of an application by the Supreme Leader of the marginalised communities in Kenya-Joho.

Joho sued the Inspector-General of Police, Director of Criminal Investigation, the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Attorney-General.

The agencies have been stopped from intimidating, arresting and questioning him over his academic qualifications.

This will apply to any investigations relating to the alleged forgery of the 1992 KCSE result slip.

“The application disclosed intention to destroy the complainant’s governorship,” Justice Ogolla said.

He certified the application as urgent.

Joho was represented by lawyers James Orengo (Siaya Senator) and DB Mosota, who said the constitution prevents police from interfering with his client’s fundamental rights.

The Governor recorded a statement at the DCI headquarters in Mombasa over the forgery claims.

The detectives said they will forward the file to the DPP for further actio

Revealed: Furious Uhuru ‘LECTURES’ DCI Muhoro and DPP for failing to NAIL Joho

By Staff Writer

The Heads of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution have been severely repremanded by the powers that be for failing to arrest and charge Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho for purportedly forging an examination result slip.

The two offices are under immense pressure from State House functionaries to remain in pursuit of investigating the Joho case so that the governor can be produced in court as soon as possible.

Governor Joho’s file at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations appears to have hit a dead end as the Directorate of Public Prosecution desperately fishes for evidence on prosecution file to charge the resurgent governor.

The renewed activity follows and angry phone from state house that was not amused by the governor’s robust response earlier this week in which he recorded a statement and held a victorious but impromptu mammoth rally soon after.

Joho’s statement completely punctured the cooked evidence that had been prepared to nail him by exposing state induced forgeries. Even more amazing was Joho’s pulling the carpet from under Jubilee feet by proudly announcing to the country that he was not going to run away from his high school grades however bad they are. Jubilee’s idea of embarrassing Joho was to publicize his results which were deemed insufficient to gain university admission without doing a bridging course.

The apparent stagnation of Joho’s case has reportedly angered President Uhuru who had earlier been assured by DCI who were working in cahoots with the DPP that the evidence they had created against Joho was ‘air-tight’ and that Joho was likely to be in police custody awaiting court appearance next week.

A state house source who wishes to remain anonymous whispered to Kenya Today that a furious Uhuru has reportedly placed calls to the heads of DCI and DPP and read the riot act to them for embarrassing him and allowing Joho to walk away to political victory scot-free despite earlier assurances that he would be dealt with conclusively using instruments of state.

As observers ponder on the future of the two state institutions, it would seem that only then will Uhuru’s prophesy of “dealing with Joho” will have been fulfilled.

The similarity of the ethnic origin of the bosses of state organizations put together to fight Governor Joho has also opened another can of worms Jubilee would have preferred to keep closed.

It remains to be seen which new war front Jubilee will open with Governor Joho who remains a constant thorn in the backside of an increasingly intolerant government.

SERIOUS WORD OF ADVICE for Governor Ali Joho as he FACES the WRATH of Uhuru and Mt Kenya Mafia

AS JUBILEE CHANNELS IT’S INNER VLADIMIR PUTIN TOWARDS GOVERNOR JOHO, HERE IS A PIECE OF ADVICE FOR THE SULTAN
By Jackson Omondi
“When they start to attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument.” Those immortal words of Margaret Thatcher succinctly apply to the political hit job being executed by Jubilee political hillbillies on the person of Governor Joho.

It all started with a public dressdown and an unprecedented show of political mettle that thoroughly peeved the peanut gallery and those who believe that leaders should get away with falsehoods. They didn’t like what they heard and what followed was a presidential vow to “teach huyo jamaa a lesson.” In dictatorial regimes, like in this case, that means deployment of whatever political chicanery, conjecture, forgery etc at the disposal of the state operatives just to drive a point home.

And in a script straight from Vladimir Putin’s playbook, they threw a “crime” on to the Governor’s political ledger and as I type away, the Governor is busy putting out state-orchestrated fires. The forgery claim follows several failed attempts to silence the ODM honcho. The Kampala University, frozen county bank accounts, delay of the county disbursements from the national government as per devolution requirements, family business being frustrated, security withdrawal, firearms withdrawal, house arrests are all mundane and primitive efforts that have been deployed to contain the Governor in vain.

The Governor must adopt a three- pronged strategy in order to counter these stupid charges. And all three must be executed at the same time;

First, let the Orengo- led legal team handle the legal aspect of it. No one comes close to the Kenyan version of the dreaded Johnie Cochran. They want to use the courts to cut you in the knees. Orengo won’t let them do that. And even if they succeed in court, chapter six of the Kenyan constitution was bastardized when those folks ignored it in 2013 despite the ICC imbroglio. That right there was judicial precedent.

Number two,
folks often talk about tribes and their numerical advantages but never mention the silent ‘tribe’, which is the Muslim community in Kenya. Together, all Muslims in Kenya damn near trounce the vaunted ‘large’ tribes. As such, set up a team dominated by marquee clerics with a knack for message packaging and frame your tribulations as an assault on the Muslim community as a whole.

Listen to me.

Let the talking points go a little something like this: the Jubilee government is persecuting the first Muslim leader who has a clear and realistic chance of one day becoming President of Kenya. Let this message spread like wildfire and put the responsibility squarely on Jubilee. Let it be known that it is Jubilee that maliciously stood in the way of a leader who happened to be the first Muslim with a clear shot at national leadership. The upshot will be reminiscent of the day Dr Martin Luther Jnr was arrested during a Republican administration and when his father asked for his release, the officials siding with the bigots back then demurred and he declared that he was ” taking” his briefcase “full of votes” to the Democrats and since then, the blacks have always overwhelmingly voted for the Democratic party.

Lastly,
bring in the enigma, he has a way of sucking the oxygen out of Jubilee. Plan major rallies and nationalize the tribulations, essentially crystallizing the message as Jubilee’s way of creating distractions to avoid talking about its disastrous record. Jubilee and its operatives are happy to discuss high school grades because of their lackluster record on policy. It is amazing that after four years at the helm, the only thing Jubilee can talk about is a high school certificate.

Political rallies highlighting this glaring attempt to hide a pathetic record can go a long way in keeping this government honest. The inherent irony here is that they are talking about the rule of law, yet they spent four years ignoring court orders and breaking all kinds of laws.

There you have it.

THOUSANDS of Muslim Faithfuls HOLD SPECIAL PRAYERS in Likoni for Governor Joho to Overcome Uhuru ONSLAUGHT

Thousands of Muslim faithful are currently holding special prayers for Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho at Caltex grounds in Likoni .

Joho has been under intense pressure, following Uhuru declaration that he will punish him for questioning Jubilee’s empty development agenda at the Coast region.

Joho recorded a statement at the regional DCI office on Wednesday in Mombasa over allegations of forgery

On Thursday, the High Court froze six of his bank accounts until KRA completes a tax returns assessment on him. The taxman is also demanding Sh90 million in returns from a company linked to him.

But Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya Mombasa branch chair Abdallah Mohamed said Joho’s woes have become a personal vendetta by Uhuru and top Jubilee administration operatives

“We saw the issues that surrounded Joho at first as political but they seem to be personal by leaning on one person, which to us is not fair at all,” he said on Thursday.

Sheikh Mohamed said the manner in which the government was handling Joho was suspicious.

“If matters surrounding the Governor are not handled amicably, we fear there could be unnecessary violence and animosity between his supporters and those of other governor candidates,” he added.

“Our aim is to seek Allah’s intervention in the political tension in Mombasa involving the Governor. All we need is an amicable solution to these issues.”

Mohamed said he chaired several meetings with a number of Sheikhs in Mombasa at different mosques to plan the prayers.

“We will also be praying for peaceful elections. These prayers will not only be for the Governor. There are a lot of issues that Muslims and other faithful need to pray for in this country,” the cleric said.

But the Sheikh also said they are hopeful the issues that have surrounded Joho will end after prayer

Kalonzo Musyoka WIPER PARTY MPs CONFIRM Hon Nyeze Spoke after alleged consultation with DP Ruto allies

Three Wiper MPs have accused Francis Nyenze of being used by some forces to rock NASA from within mostly those allied with DP Ruto

This followed remarks by the Kitui West MP that the party will pull out of NASA if Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is denied the presidential ticket.

The lawmakers told journalists at Parliament buildings that the National Assembly Minority Leader was neither speaking for the Wiper party nor the people of the larger Ukambani region.

MPs Robert Mbui (Kathiani), Susan Musyoka (Machakos) and Patrick Makau (Mavoko) spoke just a day after Nyenze strongly claimed that Wiper will bolt from the National Super Alliance if Kalonzo is not handed the coalition’s ticket.

“The comments have caused a lot of anxiety and we want to put the record straight. Nyenze has a democratic right to say what he said but the comments are not representative of the Wiper Democratic Movement,”
Mbui said.

“Wiper can only speak through its internal organs and through its party leader.”

They said the legislator should have raised the issues in the national coordinating committee, in which he is a member, rather than causing tension among members.

“Nyenze spoke out of excitement. There is nothing wrong with saying Kalonzo should be named the NASA presidential candidate, but we are in NASA to stay. We are not about to move,”
Musyoka, the Machakos woman representative, said.

The press briefing was also attended by Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma of ODM.

On Wednesday Nyenze, a key ally of Kalonzo claimed that he had the blessings of the ex-Vice President.

“I am not speaking for myself…I’m speaking for Musyoka. the Wiper party and the Ukambani nation….even if we sit for one year, we will never get a Presidential candidate,”
Nyenze said.

In a dramatic turn of events, Nyenze did not turn up to address the press on Thursday as had been promised by Wiper secretary general Hassan Omar.

He was expected to clarify his statements but was not seen at the presser called by the Wiper MPs.

Kaluma faulted Nyenze for undermining the opposition coalition by making comments outside the NCC.

“We are not in NASA out of choice, but through purpose and need. There is a reason why Kalonzo and Raila are in NASA, and I do not think that Nyenze was speaking on behalf of Wiper. We are asking our people not to be anxious,”
he said.

“None of the NASA principals should risk leaving the coalition. Let us be careful when we speak out. On this, Nyenze was not speaking for Kalonzo,”
Kaluma added.

HERE is CONFIRMATION Uhuru Graduated from Amherst, See also the grades- a strong C- (minus)??

Amherst college has confirmd that Uhuru Kenyatta graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Economics in 04/13/1985 with a GPA of 2.0 (equivalent to a strong C-), something between D+ and C plain) or he scored 4.5/10. Not so bad? slightly better than Joho despite being the President’s son…

Several twitter users contacted the college in efforts to ascertain the status of the president’s degree.
And Amherst confirmed, without further details, that President Uhuru Kenyatta indeed graduated from the school.

“Thanks for your question. Uhuru Kenyatta graduated from Amherst College in 1985 with a degree in economics & political science.”

Pressed for evidence, they said: “Sorry, we do not provide personal information about our current or former students, faculty or staff.”

One top political pundit RO had to this to say after reviewing Uhuru degree verification;

Having looked at the degree verification of one H.E Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, there is a lot of vindication for H.E Ali Hassan Joho.
You see such is life; that capability, especially of leadership is not limited by Academics. It is not even a key indicator.
The president, despite going to some of the best schools and having all possible opportunities globally at his feet simply manages a grade equivalent to C. Only a C my friends.

Patriotic citizen, take heart and know All things are possible irrespective of the constraints life offers you. Be aware that silver or even golden spoon opportunities do not necessarily also mean excellence or infallibility. We are all human. We win some, we lose some, we fail sometimes and we soldier on.

May the president be brave enough to also share his academic challenges in attaining his C and motivate other Kenyans.

“To those of you who received honours, awards and distinctions, I say well done. And to the C students, I say you, too, can be president of the United States.”

….on the CHOICE of a Person to VOTE for President, HERE is a LIST of VOICES to LISTEN for Advice

By Anwar Sadat
Ear that does not listen to advice, will accompany the head when it is chopped off~~ African Proverb.

Kenyans, let’s listen to the voices of those Kenyans who died from hunger, warning us about this government preoccupied with buying military weapons for police, and not sink boreholes.

Kenyans, let’s listen to voices of struggling Kenyans, huddled around dinner tables in their homes, wondering where their next meal will come from, warning us about this government of meat eaters and gluttons.

Kenyans, let’s listen to the voices of those teachers who committed suicide, warning us about the jubilee government that will not implement any pay agreement they negotiate with workers.

Kenyans, let’s listen to the voices of the frustrated and tired youth, whom despite of his qualification, burdened with HELB loan, is not able to find a job, warning us about the jubilee government more interested in renovating statehouse but not create meaningful opportunities for the youth.

Kenyans, let’s listen to the voices of the sick, laying down by in the hallways of Kenyan hospitals and dispensaries, warning us about a government that would rather spend Shs 4.5 billion in Amina project but not buy beds, and equipment to improve our healthcare system.

Kenyans let’s listen to voices of those women caught in the supermarket, helping themselves to sanitary pads and baby milk, pleading for mercy from the shop attendants, because they did not have any way to pay for the supplies, warning us about the jubilee government more occupied in buying land from the president’s family, and constructing a port there, not concerned about how they can improve the life of Kenyans.

Kenyans, let’s listen to the mournings of tired policemen and women, who after faithfully serving their nation, return to their one room shanties where they are forced to share, male and female, losing their respect, privacy, and dignity, warn us about the jubilee government that awards tender to construct police houses to the president sister, but years later after being paid billions, she hasn’t build any house.

Folks, if we ignore these warning voices and allow this government to rig itself back to power, given the rate at which they are borrowing and stealing, then our ears will accompany our heads when higher inflation, higher living standards, higher unemployment, when higher crime rate, when higher debt, and hardship will chop off our head.

Let’s vote change and guard our votes. This is the most important election in our lifetime. It is the defining moment whether kenya will go to the dogs, and never be the same again, or it will be pulled from the jaws of the hyena, and begin the process of building it for those who will come behind us.

The power is in your hands. Save your country, I plead with you.

Vihiga: County of 101 Missed Opportunities.

By Ominde

Hundreds of potential Jobs for Vihiga residents hang in balance after a German investor abruptly left the country. HE Rev. Moses Akaranga, declined to sign an MOU to establish a state of the art leather tannery in Vihiga for reasons not so clear to the residents and the proponents of the leather factory. This is in spite of the fact that the local partners had identified a site and signed a 22-year lease agreement for the facility to sit on the 20 acre plot of the disused KPCU factory land at Lunyerere, a kilometre from Mbale town. Someone would have thought that ,with only one factory in Vihiga County namely Mudete Tea factory, Vihiga County Leadership would have Jumped at the prospect of establishing a second factory to provide Jobs to the jobless young people and create a much needed revenue to the county. But in the era of no priorities from the Vihiga County government, this was not the case.

The investor, a reputable supplier of high quality leather to Mercedes Motors AG for car interior upholstery, was keen on establishing the facility and help kick-start the leather industry in Vihiga. Working in conjunction with local retired professionals, the envisaged investment promised hundreds of decent Jobs for the locals in addition to transfer of critical skills, machinery and linkage to international Markets.

Leather industry is one of the sectors covered under the African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA). However, Kenya has not fully exploited this opportunity and as such, a golden opportunity exists for rural counties like Vihiga to invest in Leather industry. Hide and skins are presently sold to exploitative Middlemen and the left overs used to make drums for churches like Pentecostal Assemblies of God and for Igada entertainment groups. Leather industry has placed Ethiopia on the world map of shoe making. Haute couture companies are setting up research and design facilities in Ethiopia, helping create a viable economic base to improve the lives of Ethiopians. This is what we need to emulate and turn rural impoverished Vihiga into an economic powerhouse.

Fortunately for Vihiga residents, the coming election present a new start and with the upstart Hon. Ken Butiko of United Democratic Party (UDP), a more investor friendly climate will reverse the current trend occasioned by Akaranga’s auto pilot regime. Hon. Ken Butiko, a progressive young professional with vast international and local experience brings his vast network to work for the people of Vihiga. As a team player and builder, Hon. Ken Butiko has assembled a team of ambitious people to help push the economic agenda of equity, self sufficiency while inculcating culture of zero tolerance to grand graft that is the hall mark of Akaranga administration

After shaking of the 2013 loss debacle in which Akaranga was dubiously declared a winner, Hon. Ken Butiko chose not to contest the fishy out come, but immersed himself in creating useful networks, nationally and internationally. The fruits of his tenacity can be seen in the new party UDP, whose founder members are strong proponents of the actualization of the devolution idea and economic advancement of the people of Kenya, especially the potentially rich counties of Western Kenya. Time has come to put the best Vihiga Son on the reigns. Hon. Ken Butiko is a tremendous Opportunity we cannot miss in Vihiga.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NASA Supreme Leader Raila REMARKS At The Health Investment Conference at Kisii University

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY REMARKS AT THE HEALTH INVESTMENT CONFERENCE

1. We need equity, universality, affordability and quality in the health sector.
2. Our expenditure in health care must prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable, who suffer the largest burden of disease. This means prioritizing greater investment in access and protection measures for the poor.
3. Time has come for Kenya to roll out a medical scheme, including health insurance that is capable of delivering quality health care services to all our people.
4. We must bridge the gap between rural and urban population with regard to access to affordable healthcare facilities by building and managing hospitals and clinics in areas where majority of our people live.
5. We should aim at ensuring that in the next five years, the big cities and urban centres won’t be the only ones with access to excellent health facilities, and people won’t have to travel from their villages, in search of good doctors and hospitals.
6. Our counties also need to partner with financial institutions to start specialized finance options for those looking to invest in the sector.
7. We need to press banks to offer customized solutions to fit the needs of doctors, diagnostics centres, hospitals, and nursing homes in the counties. This will enable more people to have access to great healthcare in the years to come.
8. There remains a significant need for the establishment of a Health Service Commission to help us realize these goals.
9. A Health Service Commission would free Counties from the heavy responsibility of human resource management and allocation while allowing them to focus their resources and energies on managing health facilities, providing pharmaceutical services and medical supplies and ensuring the availability and functionality of diagnostic equipment.
10. I want to appeal to the County Public Service Boards in all the counties to follow on the footsteps of Mombasa and pay doctors so that we can put the crisis behind us.
11. This is money that was already budgeted for.
12. The directive by the Ministry of Health to withhold pay arrears amounts to bad faith that can only poison the waters leading to poor service delivery for wananchi.

HERE is WHAT VP Kalonzo Musyoka NEEDS TO DO to End Speculation of DUMPING NASA for Jubilee

Urgent Appeal to all NASA supporters and Online- Worriers.
By Anwar Sadat
Let’s give the VP. Dr. Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka the benefit of doubt. He says he is in NASA to the end, so let’s take him for his words.

I however would like to directly appeal to the VP to personally do the following.

1.
Clarify to NASA supporters the nature of his trip to Dubai, as this will help in quelling those speculations that he went to receive money from Jubilee on that trip

2.
Going forward, the VP, just like other NASA should consider making his own statements. We need to hear more about him and less about Wiper, the same way we hear more about Raila and less of ODM.

3.
The VP must know that as a potential NASA candidate, and a possible next president of Kenya, NASA supporters needs to be informed of his plans, meetings, and travels before they happen, to alley any propaganda that may emanate from the secrecy surrounding such meetings. So far, his communication team have not been doing a good job in this area, leaving us to glean information from Wiper members, which as in this Nyenze case, can lead to unnecessary confusion.

4. Finally, that the VP seek to engage us directly by communications from Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka and not from Wiper. It is never a good thing that we must use our opponents propaganda to seek to know for certain where one of our principal stands on issues of the unity of our coalition and the urgent need to liberate our country from the hands of Jubilee.

Folks, our polices are living in poor houses, the unemployment is high, corruption in Jubilee is astronomical. Let’s push these issues as the VP clarifies those issues.

I believe the VP is in NASA to stay. I trust you VP and don’t let me down. They say the best way to trust a man is to trust them. And so I trust you Dr. Kalonzo.

MUSLIM CLERICS to Hold PRAYERS for Governor Joho’s STRENGTH to OVERCOME War with Uhuru

Muslim clerics in Mombasa will on Friday hold prayers for peaceful resolutions to the problems that have affected Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho.

The prayers to be conducted by Sheikhs in all mosques in the county, will also take place at the same time at Caltex grounds in Likoni.

Speaking during a meeting with Sheikhs in Mombasa on Thursday, Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) Mombasa Chairman Abdallah Mohamed said they have seen it prudent to hold the prayers to seek the guidance and intervention of God in the way the issues surrounding the Governor are being handled by the Government.

“We have met here today in order to plan for prayers to seek Allah’s intervention in the problems that have affected Governor Joho of late.

We saw the issues that surrounded Governor Joho at first as political but they seem to be ‘personal’ by leaning on one person which to us is not fair at all (Madhumuni ya maombi haya ni kuondosha dhulma ambayo mara ya kwanza yalikuwa ya kisiasa na sasa yameingia mabo ya kibinafsi,” said Sheikh Mohamed.

He added that they do not see the need why the Governor’s account were frozen even if he is being suspected of doing any wrong.

He noted that if the matters surrounding him are not handled amicably, they are likely to cause unnecessary violence and animosity among supporters of the Governor and those who are not.

The Sheikh said that after the prayers, they are hopeful that the issues that have surrounded him will end.

The CIPK Chair said that besides the County, they will also pray for peaceful elections and responsible leaders who will not perpetrate hate speech during their campaigns or direct people to engage in violence.

He added that they are also planning to conduct major prayers for elections and leadership at the center of the town in April.

He also urged Kenyans to maintain peace and not engage in any form of violence.

Hon Murkomen JOINS #IstandWithJoho says Success is More than Just grade C and Above

By Stephene Rutto
The laws requiring elected leaders to meet academic qualifications should be scrapped, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said yesterday.

He said these laws are discriminative. Murkomen said voters have the right to elect people with leadership qualifications, without looking at their academic credentials.

He said the law has forced governor hopefuls to acquire degrees through questionable means.

Murkomen expressed sympathy with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and other leaders over tribulations they have undergone to meet the academic qualifications to be elected governors.

He said on a Facebook page, “I totally agree that academic success is not the only measure for success in life.

“I know in Kenya a person who scores a D- cannot even qualify to serve in any sector of our armed forces.

“I have argued before that those who want to be elected to office should have the academic qualifications determined by the voters. My argument is that the voter is wiser and knows what he wants.”

He said the legal requirements for elective offices are forcing many people running for office to commit crimes, including forging academic documents, just to get the chance to fulfill their leadership dreams.

On January 5 during the debate on the Election Laws (Amendment) Bill 2016 in the Senate, Murkomen demanded the scrapping of clauses to be implemented in 2022 that set thresholds on qualifications required for each elective office.

Governor and president hopefuls are required to be degree-holders to qualify to run for office.

“Who are we to come here and legislate that a person is not qualified to run for office. Let citizens sit down and decide the person they wish to elect,” he said during the debate.

Murkomen expressed concern over numerous fake degrees acquired by politicians. He said some leaders have doctorate degrees but do not exhibit competencies that match the academic qualifications they claim to possess.

“Some people have degrees but can’t even construct a sentence,” he added.

The IEBC has set up a technical team to verify the credibility of education papers presented by politicians.

WHY CHANGE MUST HAPPEN in August 2017

By Anwar Sadat
Change is coming to Kenya in 2017, the change is people motivated and people driven. Change is by the people, of the people, and for the people.

For the last five years, Kenyans have watched their relatives, friends, and fellow citizens die as a result doctors strike because an incompetent government could not negotiate a return to work formula for 90 days.

We have all watched in horror as fellow citizens starve to death, as the government spend billions of shillings to militarize our police force, in a country not at war.

We have all seen our well educated youths, with burden of student loans, carry placard looking for jobs, as RELATHIEVES of those in power supply metal contains for billions of shillings. Sadly, some have even been reduced to beggars, shuffling through bins looking for food.

We have all shaken our heads in shame, looking at the single room shanties that our male and female officers are forced to share, as the government spends billions to renovate statehouse, buy pillows and blankets, and buy houses for ambassadors overseas.

We have all seen key manufacturing institutions like the sugar industry die, as those in power and their RELATHIEVES sign bilateral trade deals that expose Kenyan manufactures to cheap imports, that they never pay taxes on.

We have watched the government use state machinery to intimidate political opponents, as those implicated in theft of public money like Waiguru and company continue to catwalk in statehouse.

We have watched those in power borrow money, only to loot them through elephant projects.

We have watched areas in need of economic development like Machakos bypassed in allocation of government resources, only for the president to commission a multi billion shilling project in his family’s farm in Naivasha.

And now, Kenyans are leading the movement for change, for we are the masters of our destiny.

We know what we want: a working government that will creat jobs for our youths; a government that will lower the cost of living; a government that will build houses for our police force; a government that is committed to developing our economy.

To leaders like Nyenze, who think they can guide this revolution to be about persons, you are wrong. This movement will be guided by us, the people. You either chose to walk with us the people, or you walk alone.

We are taking back our country. You are either with us or with those that have stollen from us. In this revolution, there are no middle grounds.

The Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya takes note of statements attributed to Minority Leader Hon. Francis Nyenze on his preference of H.E. Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka as the National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential flag bearer. It is reported that Hon. Nyenze further indicated that Wiper will leave NASA should Hon. Kalonzo not be named flag bearer.

From the onset, let me reiterate Wiper’s unwavering commitment to NASA. Wiper is further conscious of its obligation to this nation and its posterity to bring to an end Jubilee’s misrule. Wiper believes that this can only happen through a broad opposition front to face Jubilee during the August 8th, 2017 general elections. Conscious of this fact, Wiper will support any decision as to who becomes the flag bearer.

The Wiper leadership has advised Hon. Nyenze on the possible anxiety his reported statements are likely to cause or have caused. Hon. Nyenze will therefore hold a press conference tomorrow Thursday 30th March, 2017 at 10:00am to clarify any issue and reaffirm Wiper’s commitment to NASA.

DESPERATE to SABOTAGE NASA, Statehouse Operatives release FAKE Press Statement to Set Up Wiper vs ODM

PRESS RELEASE
FAKE MEDIA RELEASE

Our attention has been drawn to a ‘press statement’ doing rounds in media circles purportedly by ODM Ag. Secretary General Sen. (Dr.) Agnes Zani ostensibly responding to National Assembly Minority Leader Mr. Francis Nyenze’s remarks earlier in the day.

The ODM wishes to categorically state that, there has not been any statement from the party through the Secretary General or any other official with regard to the remarks attributed to Mr. Nyenze. For the records, Dr. Zani has been and is still in Mombasa where she accompanied the Deputy Party Leader Mr. Hassan Joho to the CID offices to record a statement on a matter that is in public domain.

Again, official party statements are sent to the media and the public through the Directorate of Communications.

This is clearly the height of impunity and frustration by those in power who are intent to see NASA break. The language used in the statement is not Dr. Zani’s and the agents of such propaganda and forgery are misdirected.

The ODM urges the media and the general public to ignore the statement and treat it as usual forgeries and distortions by the state and its agents.

Ends…

Governor Joho Spreads His Wings to Nairobi, to HOLD MASSIVE PUBLIC RALLY in Kibera tomorrow Thursday

After recording a statement with the DCI on forgery claims, a fired up Hassan Joho told excited supporters he will hold a rally in Kibra on Thursday to “tell Uhuru the truth”.

“We told you that after Coast tours, we will take the fight to the door step. Tomorrow we are in Kibra near their homes,” he told thousands of supporters who accompanied him to the regional police headquarters.

Joho went to the police headquarters accompanied by ODM leaders including Siaya Senator and lawyer James Orengo, woman representative Mishi Mboko, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and secretary general Agnes Zani (Nominated Senator).

They held hands as they marched there in a show of solidarity while their supporters waved placards questions the government on the woes their Governor has been facing.

Joho reprimanded President Uhuru Kenyatta saying he should focus his energy on bettering the lives of Kenyans.

“Niko na ushauri…Uhuru, hii nguvu ambayo anatumia sasa, ama kweli angetumia kwa niaba ya wananchi. Hii nguvu anatumia sasa atumie kuboresha maisha ya wakenya,” he said.

(I have an advice for Uhuru…The strength he is using now can be used to improve the people’s lives.)

He told the President to use the same amount of force to fight corruption over which members of the public have repeatedly complained and Uhuru has admitted frustration.

Noting that Uhuru said he would flog him during the Mtongwe ferry services relaunch, the Governor reiterated that he was not afraid.

Uhuru said Joho was following him everywhere and interfering with his mandates as Kenya’s leader but the county boss said he was fighting for his people’s rights and would go anywhere he felt required to.

He said today: “Misimamo wa Nasa ni Ali Joho na sibanduki. Uhuru alikuwa hapa likoni akasema ataninyorosha…sikuogopi, my friend. Naogopa tu Mungu wangu…tumia hiyo nguvu leo na kesho.. wakenya watakuonyesha on August 8.”

This loosely translates to: “My stand will not change and I will not be swayed. Uhuru said here that he would flog me…I do not fear you, my friend. I only fear God. You can use that force today but Kenyans will make their choices on election day.”

He added that God’s wrath will be felt during the general election.

Regarding the forgery claims, Joho said he saw charge sheets prepared against him.

“Mimi na macho yangu makali nilipokuwa pale, waliweka charge sheet pale…wanataka kunipeleka korokoroni. Wao wanataka kunitisha…misiogope na msibabaike (My sharp eyes saw the charge sheet. They want to take me to prison and scare me…do not be worried or afraid,” he claimed.

But he added: “As long as I am alive I will be on the ballot and the electorate will select [NASA chief] Raila Odinga as their president.”

On March 15, the Governor demanded that sniffer dogs be taken to his Nyali home where six armed men were spotted the previous night.

Joho said the men were in plain clothes, had AK 47 rifles and that they were outside his home for an hour. He claimed they were police officers.

“They were here from 10pm to 11pm,” he said, adding he instructed police to take the dogs to check if a “detonating bomb, poison, guns or any other illicit substance” had been planted.

“I feel obligated to file a formal report when such things happen.”

Lawyer James Orengo said the National Super Alliance will stand by Joho’s side regardless of threats from the government.

“We must stand with Joho. We will not allow Jubilee to stamp on him. We will do all within our might to protect Joho. At the police station it was pure propaganda,” he said.

Orengo, who is Siaya Senator, assured supporters that the coalition will win in August.

“We will deal with them. Mombasa, don’t worry, we will win. Whoever touches Joho touches Raila and Kenya. We have a multitude of lawyers to protect Joho,” he said.

Meanwhile Joseph Githu says>>>

Everyone be on the lookout, there must be somewhere this goverment is looting and keeping us busy with this joho saga…..we need to be alert, do not loose focus. Something is being stolen somewhere, some money for politics is being carted away in bags by the “kafuras”…… hii stori ya joho is just meant to keep us busy.

If kabura joins cord today and vies for women rep, that’s when we would know that the goverment has alot of power!, she would be taken to all the jails in Kenya!

If hustler joins raila today and ditches Kamwana that’s when we would know that weston Land was illegally acquired.

When kalonzo joined kibaki to strengthen an already failed kibaki group, no one ever mentioned the land he grabbed in yatta

When raila agreed to the goverment of national unity we all called him Njamba and no one ever mentioned the kisumu mollases plant.

When joho was funding the chungwa camp that uhuru and ruto were members, no one called him a drug dealer and a drop out!

When things are working you are relevant, when they need you you are important, after they use you they can even kill you!

This is what I call ushenzi! Be wise show these politicians the middle finger, you are not a part of them, they don’t like you, they only need you to make themselves more richer with your money!

BIG SET BACK for Uhuru Jubilee as Powerful Somali Elders ENDORSE ODM’s Governor Abdullahi

By Wajir Chroncles

News emanating from Nairobi reveals that powerful Degodia clan elders are on the verge of endorsing incumbent Wajir County Governor Ahmed Abdullahi to retain the county’s most coveted seat in the forthcoming August 8th elections.

Reliable sources intimated to Wajir Chronicles that former Kenya’s envoy to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Mohammed Abdi Mohamud is likely to be reined in by the influential elders to step down in favour of the incumbent, whom sources say, is highly revered due to his visible development track record.

This turn around by the powerful Degodia elders, whom many believed to have been favouring the former envoy, has surprised many alike. For them to openly come out and back the incumbent governor Abdullahi was the least expected by local political pundits, and they term these move the game changer in these high adrenalin political melodrama of Wajir County.

The influential elders, led by Sheikh Burhan, Hajji Noor (Agaweyn)and Hajji Yunis, reportedly called for an emergency meeting involving the Degodia community political elites from both camps.

The incumbent Governor’s group, famously known as Team Jiir, and Ambassador’s Team famously known as Team Shuluq, attended the urgent crisis meeting.

The sources revealed to Wajir Chronicles that the elders main concern was the split and division of the Degodia community by a section of politicians for purposes of self-gain and self-satisfaction.

The business men are said to have put it plainly that the discord the said politicians have sowed within the Degodia community if not remedied will not only affect 2017 but will make it impossible for the community to ever come together again politically.

They eventually proposed that the only hope for the community’s unity is by backing the incumbent for another five years. They are also reported to have suggested the Ambassador should be appointed a national Cabinet Secretary in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government after the August 8th polls.

They also toyed with the idea that Hon. Mohammed Elmi, currently representing Tarbaj constituency in the National Assembly, should be the county’s nominated senator, bearing in mind that he has openly come out and declared he won’t be defending his seat.

This revelation by the said elders is believed to have come as an unpleasant surprise to top honchos of Team Ambassador. Tarbaj MP Hon. Elmi and his colleague representing Eldas constituency Hon. Adan Keynan Wehliye, are said to have sharly differed with the elders having presumed all along the elderly business men were firmly on their side.

In the first meeting, the elders are said to have been ruthlessly straightforward with their questions to the politicians, whom they accused of lengthening the divisions and misunderstandings within the once powerfully united Degodia community.

“You have all been moving around saying your endorsed by the Degodia community. Who gave you the mandate to give political directions on behalf of Degodias? Are you the only Degodias?” the businessmen are said to have lashed out in the meeting.

They were chastised that they have taken their personal hatred for the governor too far. They were reminded that the interests of Degodia’s and all Wajir citizens at large, supersedes their personal ambitions.

It has always been widely reported in the media and social network platforms that a prominent politician from the county is eyeing a national Cabinet Secretary slot in case President Uhuru is re-elected.

The biggest shocker came from Hajji Noor (Agaweyn), whom many had expected to unconditionally support the former envoy, bearing in mind he is a maternal uncle to the ambassador.

The meeting is said to have been postponed to today (26/03/2017), whereby a declaration, on behalf of the Degodia community, will be made and the community’s candidate of choice announced.

Inside sources widely believe that the Ambassador’s team is slated to boycott today’s meeting having now known that the much respected elders might endorse the incumbent H.E Ahmed Abdullahi to retain his seat.

The meeting which took place at Lillian towers in Nairobi, was called by Sheikh Burhan in conjunction with the elders and was attended by all Degodia MPs from Wajir County who included Hon. Elmi of Tarbaj, Hon. Abbas KK of Wajir East, Hon. Keynan of Eldas, Hon. Abdikadir Ore of Wajir West, and Wajir County Women Rep Hon. Fatuma Ibrahim.

Degodia community is the largest in Wajir County which is also composed of the Ogaden, Ajuran and other smaller groups commonly referred to as the corner tribes.

The forthcoming August polls prove to be the hardest nut to crack for this powerful clan bearing in mind that Ogaden Alliance is likely to front a single candidate.

Members of the clan believe only one, and not two candidates from the community should be allowed to contest against the rest from other clans for an automatic win come August the 8th.

Wajir Chronicles will closely follow the on-going deliberations from the Nairobi meeting and promises to update its readers on the behind the curtain going ons. We will furnish you with latest information as soon as we get them.

NASA is The People, Jubilee has NOTHING for Kalonzo !

To Jubilee bloggers yapping about 2013 CORD MoU
By Anwar Sadat
The 2013 MoU in CORD was that Raila serves one term as President, then support Kalonzo Musyoka.

Raila has not served as President. Kalonzo knows this, Raila Knows this, ODM knows this, Wipper knows this and most importantly, Kenyans know this.

I want to believe the VP, Hon. Dr. Kalonzo Musyoka, when he says that the Kalonzo of today is different from the Kalonzo of 2007.

The Kalonzo of 2007, decided to Run for the Presidency outside of a united Opposition, as they had agreed with Kibaki to deny the opposition the presidency, and not appear to have been compromised in doing so.

After the disputed election, the Kalonzo of 2007 joined Kibaki as his VP.

So when the VP says he is not like the Kalonzo of the 2007, I hope he is saying that he has not entered into any agreement with Uhuru Kenyatt or his emissaries to run a lone and join after the election. I am giving the VP, the benefit of doubt.

But I also acknowledge that as a Kenyan above the minimum required age of being president, he is well free to run for the office, or seek partnerships with any political players.

If the VP sees a partner in Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee, an administration that would rather build a port in Kenyatta’s farm and not in Machakos, then it’s his democratic choice. If the VP thinks that in Jubilee, he can be their flag bearer in 2017 elections, then we can’t stop him, he is free to seek the party ticket of Jubilee.

I wish to remind all NASA principals that the 2017 elections is about the people: transforming their lives, and not what position they get. However, that said, if one of you, or a section of you think they have made so much sacrifice or been in opposition so long that they can’t wait 5 more months, and fight to reclaim our nation, and would rather be given a foreign minister position for few months, it’s ok.

We wish you well. But our struggle for a better kenya continues. We need you with us, but should you choose to go, we wish you well.

Betrayal only comes in If Raila serves one term and then does not support Kalonzo. That hasn’t happened, and those talking of betrayal simply want an exit door. NASA is the people!!!!

Why I am Loving the President Uhuru’s Political Advisers

Whether the Jubilee government manages to fix Ali Hassan Joho or not, on this certificates saga that has now morphed into a national concern, the president will be left with a rotten egg on his face for one simple reason: he publicly swore to “nyorosha” 001 governor for political reasons.

So, it has not been lost on Kenyans that the frenzied alacrity with which over five government agencies have descended upon the Mombasa governor is obviously fuelled by the president’s desperate need to “Nyorosha” Joho. This makes him come across as the pettiest president in this side of the Sahara today.

As a matter of fact, there is no current Kenyan governor who is as crazily popular among his people and beyond as Ali Hassan Joho. What this means is that, when the president declares that he will “nyorosha” Joho, in essence, what he is saying is that he will “nyorosha” the Mombasa people, and by extension, the coast and North Eastern people.

Trust me when things get this thick, it is no longer about whether Joho’s papers are genuine or not. Things have just snowballed into one huge political vendetta and the one, who will end up being “nyoroshwad” down at the coast come August 8th, is one Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

He (Uhuru) will definitely be going back there (Coast) to ask for votes, in his re-election bid. While Joho’s votes are already assured, the funny appetite to “nyorosha Joho” has rubbished any inroads made by Jubilee at the coast, in one fell swoop.

I am beginning to love the president’s political advisors. These guys are a bunch of geniuses, and just like anyone else, they might be secretly getting tired of the Jubilee misrule in this country.

Maybe they (Uhuru advisors) silently detest the fact that the dreaded Moi era tendencies of using state power to arm-twist opponents, are slowly creeping back through the Jubilee regime. So what do they do? As clever guys, they go ahead and cunningly mislead the president. This is what they must be telling him:

“You must come out as a tough and no-nonsense president! To begin with ‘nyorosha Joho kabisa!’ Just make use of all state agencies led by your tribesmen to probe the authenticity of his credentials. As a strong and decisive president, don’t waste time sparring with village governors like Nanok, call him ‘shetani, ghasia ashindwe’ and move on!

They must have also told him that, “When you go to places like Kisii, remember these idiots never voted for you. Don’t hesitate to remind them that, ‘hamkutupigia kura but due to my benevolent nature, I have made two of your kinsmen big people in government. One is a full CS and the other a whole chief justice!”

Don’t you love the ingenious presidential advisors lately too? And that is the short story of how Uhuru Kenyatta ended up as a one term president in August 2017.
