On This National Prayer Day Lets Remember Brothers In The ‘Friend Zone’ Who Do Everything But Get Zero Sex

By Sydney Obachi

National prayer day I want to remember my brothers in the friend zone.
1. Those who drop her to her boyfriends house.
2. Those who listen to the bullshit her boyfriend has done and still pay for the lunch.
3. Those who escort her to the bus stop.
4. Those who have even met the boyfriends parents.
5……………and many more.
I pray that you find peace and get your shit together.

Meanwhile jana one Scophine Otieno had an interesting experience in a matatu going home; read it , very interesting hahahaha

On my way home this evening ,from my backseat, I watched in awe as a young man roughly in his late twenties left his seat for a woman carrying a child.

While his thoughts might have challenged him to a single combat and landed strikes that would have left him nursing second thoughts, he did not hesitate.

I can only imagine the war his mind must have waged.

“Why should I leave my seat for her yet I’ve paid a whooping 50bob, what was she thinking boarding a full bus?..This one looks like mdhamaki, they’re the reason Unga is 150 for supporting Ali baba and his minions”

Instead, his conscience must have thrashed those thoughts with heavy blows and thus all he saw was a woman whose expression bore fatigue and cautious of standing too long in the cold with an infant, hopped on the bus without second thoughts.

I almost went on one knee and proposed to him.

Almost pledged to share the burdens of life with him, allow him win an argument once a year, tolerate his Mother, be reasonable enought to oblige him one mpango wa kando after we’ve had two kids and lived for 15 years, promise not to wear Mama Taa for Women rep T-shirts to bed and minimize headache excuses when he wants to do da ting.

They don’t make em’ like him no more.

Earlier in the day, I saw a motorist slow down for an elderly man who seemed like he had just landed by Matunda bus from Khwisero in search of the fruit of his loins whom he has not seen in eons.

A son who is probably resting his big head on rangi ya thao coloured twin moulds of flesh, perky and firm.

Something must kill a man… While some are felled by the bullet, this son has decided that whatever will kill him must be warm, wet and attached to a squirming body.

His father was roaming the streets trying to locate him using the vague directions he gave.

The old man wore his white hair like an ornament and his ignorance like a badge of honour for he crossed the road like a man leisurely walking on his piece of land bequeathed to him as a birthright.

In a normal day I expected loud hoots mired in curse words like

“,Mzee enda chunga wajukuu nyumbani kama hujui kuvuka bara bara, bloody kom diel”

Instead, the motorist with great patience waited and blocked the rest to allow the Mzee cross.

Good people are everywhere, sometimes we focus so much on negativity that we are oblivious to the small and random acts of kindness around us.

With a lot going on in this journey called life, at times these simple acts is all you need to put a smile on your face and restore your faith in humanity.

What a day. How was yours?

We Will Make North Rift UNGOVERNABLE – Maize Farmers Vow as NCPB Looters Walk Free

Farmers in Uasin Gishu County have threatened to stage a mother of all demonstrations in Eldoret town if the National Cereals and Produce Board will not pay them for their deliveries by end of next week.

The farmers gave a one week ultimatum to the government to ensure they are paid or else they make Eldoret town ungovernable.

“We shall shut down this town, hakuna magari itapita hapa” said Mr. Stephen Tum, a farmer from Soy.

The farmers, outraged by news of the loss of Ksh. 2 billion meant to pay them for their maize delivery to the national store said they will do everything possible to make sure they are paid.

“We will overturn every table in all the hotels in this town (Eldoret)” said Mr. Tum. “We will not allow anyone to eat. We will not want to see ugali, sugar tea or milk on the tables”
he added.

The farmers said their threats should not be taken lightly and urged the Agriculture CS Mr. Mwangi Kiunjuri to compel the National Cereals and Produce Board to pay them before the one week ultimatum lapses.

SLAP IN THE FACE For DP Ruto As Raila/Uhuru Handshake Grows To ‘Tight Hug’ With Blessings From USA And Wanainchi

By Our Reporter

President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA Leader Raila Odinga today morning wowed the nation with their passionate hug as they promised to ensure the nation stands.

Sen. James Inhofe from the US

The two were called up on the podium by U.S. Senator James Mountain Inhofe, Senator from Oklahoma who said Kenya needed leaders like Uhuru and Raila to see its growth.

“The prayer for us right now is that Jesus will heal our land and our hearts” said Sen. Inhofe as the stood right before him, listening attentively.

He said the unity of a nation requires dedicated leaders who believe in one course, that is ‘uniting the country’ without thinking about themselves.

He then told the two show the world how united they were if they mean their business, that is to unite the country. It is at this juncture that the President and the Former Prime Minister shook hands and hugged to the amusement of the audience that included Deputy President William Ruto.

The audience cheered loudly as the two walked down the podium to take their seats in a brotherly way, just like their fathers the late Mzee Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta embraced each other in the 60’s when Kenya was born.

“When members from different parties pray together even if they have different opinions; it is difficult for them to be angry at each other” said Sen. Inhofe.

The 16th National Prayer Breakfast, organized by Parliament (Senate and the National Assembly) has brought together guests from far and wide. Delegations from Ethiopia, South Sudan, DRC, South Africa, Rwanda, U.K , Somalia among others in attendance.

Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi is attending the prayer breakfast.

Uhuru Playing With Emotions Of The Public, NYS Prosecutions Targeting Small Fish, Real Masters Are Free

By Onyango Ochieng Jnr
When majority of those arrested are junior officers like stores clerks, storemen, accounts clerk, accountants and auditors; these are junior officers whose job is to prepare paper work for their bosses.

For auditors, there work comes after payments have been done, basically after funds have been looted, why then include them (auditors) in the list? ODPP should instead use the auditors to strengthen their case. ODPP must know that its not the quantity or number of cases prosecuted BUT the convictions realized after the trials.

There is no way anybody(group of persons) can steal 9 billion from ministry or a state arm without getting serious coverup from the highest office on land. The president receives intelligence reports daily and illegal movement of such amounts from govt is outright felony.

Uhuru has been carrying a begging bowl-like Oliver Twist- to western capitals begging for 2 billion here, 3 billion there, 4 billion which you can’t tell me when collated together, a common Kenyan will just steal like petty thief snatching a phone on Tom Mboya street.

How do you even move such an amount without the attention of CBK, NIS & DCI! What we are seeing is just a drama festival, truth is to successfully even execute a normal bank robbery, you will need the blessings of the local police to succeed, even thieves in estate need the blessing of the local police to carry out their wickedness.

Uhuru and Ruto owe this nation a serious explanation. Its either one of them is complicit, or both, or they are simply taking this country for a ride. Something is seriously not adding up, these thieves have a very senior godfather up there assuring them of their safety. In my thinking, these are not even thieves but footsoldiers earning commission from their unpatriotic masters. But maybe I’m wrong!

I Will Continue Working With Raila Mpende Msipende, Wacheni Upuzi- Uhuru Tells Ruto Allies Opposed to Handshake

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday reaffirmed his commitment to unite Kenyans saying he “won’t be intimidated by anyone in the execution of his duties”.

The president, in his speech at a function in Embakasi East, said he respects everyone and will focus on delivering his mandate of uniting and serving all Kenyans without prejudice.

“Mimi naheshimu kila mkenya na sitishwi na mtu yeyeote. Watu waelewe vizuri. Heshima sio utumwa jameni…Mtu asifikirie ya kwamba mimi ni mtu wa kutishwatishwa huko. Kama ni vitisho tutaona vitisho itazidi upande gani. Mimi sio mtu wa kutishwa.”

(I respect every Kenyan but I won’t be intimidated by anyone. People should understand that. Respect is not slavery. Let no one think they can intimidate me. If it is about intimidation, we shall see which side will be more intimidated. I’m not a person to be intimidated)

“…hata Babu Owino na George Aladwa (Makadara MP) ni rafiki yangu. Tuwache upuzi jameni.”

(Even Babu Owino and George Aladwa are my friends. Let’s stop this nonsense)

He spoke at Jacaranda Grounds in Donholm where he had gone to issue title deeds to city residents.

Uhuru made the remarks in response to a statement by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko that the president should not feel intimidated over his choice of lawyer Miguna Miguna as is deputy.

“My aim is work with you Sonko and uplift the lives of city residents. Build roads, issue title deeds, supply water, and give jobs to the youth,” he said.

Uhuru told off those who have been criticising his handshake with Opposition leader Raila Odinga saying he is ready to work with all Kenyans.

“Many out here are criticising me saying ‘what is that you did to go talk with Raila?’ Raila is a Kenyan and I have a right to talk all people whose aim is to see our country go forward. We don’t want divisions anymore,” he said.

The president spoke following signs especially in Rift Valley (read Kalenjin nation) of opposition to the ‘Building Bridges’ initiative that he has embarked on with Raila. Jubilee senate majority leader the hawkish Kipchumba Murkomen has been on front-line issuing conditions to Raila for the handshake to work

He asked other leaders to desist from engaging in dirty politics and focus on development projects that will benefit all Kenyans.

Drama: Safaricom Blocks Kenya Police on Twitter

Giant telco Safaricom on Wednesday morning blocked the Kenya Police on Twitter.

The Police Service revealed this by sharing a screenshot on its handle indicating it had been blocked.

The image was accompanied by a tweet that said, “@Safaricom_Care we are unable to interact with you as we are blocked.”

The service provider later unblocked the cops after the above complaint.

“Thank you @Safaricom_Care. All is well now,” Police Service said in a tweet.

It remains unclear why Safaricom would choose to block the police from seeing or replying to its tweets from the customer care desk.

The scenario plays out like that of May 11 when it emerged that President Uhuru Kenyatta had unfollowed DP William Ruto on Twitter.

A check on the President’s handle indicated that he followed only 33 people.

Ruto was, however, not among the only six Kenyans the president followed.

WHY Dr David Ndii Confirmed Ongoing Stunts On Corruption Is A Mt Kenya Mafia Ploy To FINISH DP Ruto

By Kenya O Gilbert
The straight shooting Dr. Ndii now says that the current spate of unearthing mega corruption scandals in the Jubilee regime is aimed at finishing one William Ruto politically.

Let that sink in for a moment. There is no reason to doubt that the cerebral economist is absolutely right. It is true that the owners of Kenya can finish Ruto any time they want and he should have seen it coming.

If you’ve some knowhow on the way things work in this oligarchy called Kenya, then you should know that the NIS is likely to have a dossier the size of two bibles on W.S. Ruto’s dealings since he was a mere chicken merchant some 30 years back.

Now, that is one lethal weapon that can be used against a politician who is as ferociously ambitious as Ruto. The plot thickens when the said politician has some dark dealings or smiley skeletons in his closet.

However, that’s not my main concern. I have just been wondering about the motive behind Dr. Ndii’s public confirmation of what some of us have been suspecting all along, and even actually pointed out here before.

I am sure it can’t be that Dr. Ndii has suddenly started growing fond of Ruto lately. Neither can the fiery economist be sympathetic to Ruto’s current predicament.

Whatever Dr. Ndii’s motive was, when he aptly described what the sudden surge in unearthing the rampant looting in the Jubilee government is all about, during a recent appearance on KTN’s #CheckPoint; one thing is clear: it’s a very difficult time to be William Ruto.

But wait a minute. Who is this saint called Ruto that a serious purge against corruption might just bring down with a thud which may cause seismic reverberations across the corrupt continent of Africa? That’s for you to judge.

You see, I don’t give a hoot about who gets finished in the irredeemably corrupt Jubilee regime. In fact, the faster these hyenas finish each other the better for all us.

Let them tighten the noose around each other’s necks until they puke and excrete whatever they have stolen (from the hapless Kenyan taxpayers) from all openings on their bodies. There shouldn’t be any mercy for these ruthless Jubilee looters. This kind of looting can’t happen without big fish in government being involved.

Don’t these guys carry loaded guns in their pockets during those cabinet meetings? I am imagining of a scenario where they can disagree and go hammer and tongs at each other in one of those meetings.

For once, they should make good use of those guns and shoot the hell out of each other in their next Meeting of meat eaters. None of them is clean.

That way, they will save us a lot of resources spent in the wild goose chase that the EACC and the Kenyan police love calling “thorough investigations”.

Truth is, nobody in Jubilee is clean. If there is anybody in the Jubilee government who has not stolen from the public, then he or she is an accomplice. This includes those voters who insisted on TANO TENA.

We desperately need to begin on a clean slate.
The current government, – beginning with the executive, all the MPs and senators – need to be overhauled. That’s the only way we can begin winning the fight against corruption.

Meanwhile, let the witch hunt continue. Watu walimane ndani ya Jubilee sawasawa. Finya mtu kabisa.

The NYS Scandal QUEENS Of CATWALK; Off Went Waiguru and Kabura, Incomes Lucy Ann Ngirita

By Gilbert Okenya

There is something about NYS that keeps attracting queens of catwalk who end up carting away “gunias” of cash from the institution.

First there was Anne “Minji Minji” Waiguru, she of the “catwalk na kizungu mingi” fame.

She bamboozled many with her eloquence in the Queen’s English as she went on and on painting a picture of herself as this pious whistleblower who saved millions of NYS money from marauding hyenas.

Waiguru ended up with a pat on the back, for a job well done. She would later be christened “Minji Minji” before being made the new Kirinyaga governor and deputy chair of the Council of Governors (COG) of Kenya. She’s now a big shot.

Then there was Josphine Kabura, a typical village girl who is an embodiment of the famous Wakanda saying which goes like, “what money can do, no man can do.”

No, this one wasn’t a catwalk queen by any means; though money has since transformed her to a seemingly well groomed woman, complete with a new and fairer skin color.

Initially, she lacked the sophistication of being a catwalk Queen. She also couldn’t sustain a conversation in “kizungu mingi” that well. But her millions have gradually turned her into a real NYS catwalk Queen.

The former salonist turned millionaire shocked the country with tales of how she carted away over 100 million cash money, in gunny bags, from Family bank.

Kabura couldn’t explain how she managed to register and become the sole director of several shadowy companies which supplied air to NYS.
She looked totally out of her depths when she appeared before the PAC in parliament for questioning.

Josphine Kabura was obviously a stooge for a more powerful individual, who used her to mercilessly rob the taxpayer, during the NYS Scandal Season One.

Needless to say that the powerful individual behind Kabura got away with it and still walks scot free.

Then came Anne Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita. This is the new face of the NYS cat walk queens club in NYS Scandal Season Two.

The lady just walked into the NYS headquarters in Gilgil and walked out 60 million richer after supplying air to the institution!

She didn’t even have to go through the tendering process since that’s not necessary when you supply air.

The lady recently admitted that she has no idea what animal a tender is since she has never seen one before; not even on TV.

This new NYS catwalk queen has been the center of interest since yesterday, after about 20 suspects in the NYS Scandal Season Two were rounded up by the authorities.

With her expensive white horse hair and a painted face, she stands out of the crowd of 20 NYS suspects who were arraigned in court today, in connection with the new NYS Scandal.

The catwalk queen seems to be enjoying the limelight and the huge attention she is has been getting lately.

She doesn’t seem perturbed at all by the glaring possibility of being jailed for robbing a public institution. Maybe she has been assured by the powerful person she is holding brief for that nothing will happen to her.

Anytime the cameras focus on her, she has been smiling all through as she delicately pushes her expensive white horse hair away from her eyebrows.

If she isn’t fondling her hair and pushing it back, she jerks her head to throw it off her face – just like those sophisticated ladies in the movies do.

Just like Josphine Kabura, hers is a rags to riches story. Her family lived in squalor until NYS happened.

I guess she feels like a celebrity with all the limelight she is hogging. Perhaps, she is consoled by the mere fact that none of the catwalk Queens in NYS Season One went to jail.

Who knows? She might even be the next Nakuru governor. Isn’t Anne Waiguru Kirinyaga governor? Probably, that is how things work in Kenya.

BREAKING DRAMA: NYS Scandal Suspect YOUTH PS Lilian Mbogo COLLAPSES In Police Remand, Rushed To Kenyatta Hospital

PANIC In Statehouse Over Brewing Revolution In Rift Valley And Mt Kenya- Punda Amechoka !

By Empraim N

The good thing about a revolution is that it comes like a thief in the night. No one can time it or predict it. When those in power are swimming in confidence and arrogance; boom! There will be neither sign nor warning.

I feel sad at how these Jubilee fellows treat us with contempt as if we are their helpless hostages. What they forget is that everyday they are pushing us to that point of no return. Every act of impunity is more fuel to the fire.

When enough will truly be enough, there will be neither fear nor hesitation. There will be neither Kikuyu nor Luo. There will only be thugs on one side and oppressed citizens on the other hand.

When Jubilee thinks they have had us in a corner, suddenly the lion in us will awaken. It will either be death or freedom. Life will have lost meaning and no gun will be too powerful to intimidate.

Nobody should lose hope. Kenyans are patient but that patience is not eternal. One day and soon they will snap. Even those who voted Jubilee in a moment of tribal madness will have their sanity back. The so called handshake will deliver no one from our collective anger.

NYS SCANDAL And Prosecutions; One Big Question Mt Kenya Mafia Controlled Media Will NEVER ASK

Ask yourself one simple question. Could all that money have been lost without even a single individual of integrity within NYS or outside stopping the payments?

1. Not a single person in NYS noted and stopped wrongdoing. We are only informed after the money has been lost and the thieves given enough time to move it around
2. Not a single person in the banking sector noted something amiss despite the experience in NYS Season I. You can’t transact anything over one million without presenting supporting documents how come NYS suppliers are not affected by these rules?

Why is this NYS scandal being treated specially while other scandals are neglected. This year alone there has been so many scandals e.g.
1. Kenya Power billing and tendering scandals in which billions have been lost
2. Ruaraka land scandal
3. Uganda embassy scandal
4. Kenya Forestry Service logging scandals
5. NSSF Scandals
6. Kenya Pipeline scandals etc

These people take us for complete idiots. Even kindergarteners are treated with more respect. Uhuruto must resign. Spare us these show trials and drama.

WHY The Ongoing NYS Scandal Court Cases Are Dead On Arrival, Meant To Cover For Actual Culprits?

THERE’S THE URGENT NEED TO RESTORE CONFIDENCE OF THE PUBLIC IN OUR CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM AND MORE PARTICULARLY IN THE FIGHT AGAINST GRAFT

Disclosure: I am an Officer in the Criminal Justice System and my views may unintentionally be biased in support of the (future of the) system.

A number of Kenyans think that the ongoing arrests and arraignment in court of a number of a Public Relations (PR) exercise. Some have even suggested that the process is actually meant to cover up for the “actual culprits” and or to sacrifice the “small fish”.

My brother and wakili Steve Ogolla is “almost certain” that in his words “the ongoing NYS cases are dead on arrival” and that “no one will be convicted” because “the government does not have a Corruption Risk Assessment Tool to detect complacency or connivance from the point of contact, going up to the higher officials.”

In fact wakili Ogolla is of the view that “the ODPP could actually be misleading Kenyans that it (the ODPP) “has the capacity to allocate criminal culpability in a complex web of public sector corruption cases in just a matter of days, as to be able to prefer charges.”

It’s without a doubt (as rightly pointed out by Wakili Ogolla) that “a corruption risk assessment tool would help highlight key stages, processes and personnel that are prone to corruption and malfeasance.

On the other hand, the learned senior and mwalimu Charles B G Ouma has elsewhere relatedly retorted that the current fight against the NYS Scandal should not be just against those who are “corrupt in the technical sense of the word”. He seems to be of the view that those arrested are not the substantive thieves who should be the ones to be pursued. Wawili is of the view that the substantive culprits “are well known and have motorcycle outriders and police chase cars to clear the traffic on their way to NYS and NPCB”.

Wakili Ouma suggests that we should go for “the neck of the man or woman with the gunny bag” and “not the neck of the poorly trained”.

Wakili Ogolla is of the view that the arrests amount to a “handpicking of top officials based on political convenience and public relations, and hounding them in court” and amounts to an abuse of the court process with the undisclosed “intention to clear” the accused while also preserving public perception of commitment to fighting graft.”

We seem to be a country that has lost hope in our systems and much has to be done to restore that hope.

There’s so much hope in our criminal justice system while I must also admit that there is so much room for improvement going ahead.

While we expect su much of our officers such as those in the ODPP, it is important that we have faith in the system. The system are what they are because of us as a people.

The gusto with which we are quick to question our institutions should also be applied to commend hard working officers and also to help agitate for the improvement of their terms and also celebrate them when they do good.

We cannot keep asking action of our officers and when such action is taken we still bash them for having taken action and call them names. It’s disheartening to be told to be doing some PR stunts when officers spent the whole of the weekend day and night reviewing files so as to be sure that the actual perpetrators are brought to book to answer for their actions and or inactions.

Granted, the quality of our investigative and prosecutorial agencies may not be at the optimum best. However, I dare say without fear of contradiction that we have some of the best and most competent investigators and prosecutors across the continent.

While we suggest and push for the improvement of the quality of their services by way of among other things, topical trainings, it’s important, actually a civic duty, that we back our officers in the performance of the duties for which they are paid from the public coffers.

Let’s also see more Kenyans push for the improvement of the terms of service of the public servants like the officers of the ODPP who are doing the best of their abilities despite the meager terms of service.

As regards the ongoing NYS-related investigations and prosecutions, let us ne positive of the outcomes. Let’s have faith in the leadership of the new DPP who has already shown a glimpse of his ability to lead the important office. Let us assist with information where we have some that is relevant.

Above all, let’s keep and remain vigilant. Let’s put public servants to task.

Justice be our shield and defender!

‘You Are A Pathetic Coward And Loser’- Hon Cleophas Malala Tells Off Senator Moses Wetangula

PRESS STATEMENT:

ATTACKS ON H.E. RAILA ODINGA BY SEN. WETANGULA:

We have read with interest sentiments appearing in section of the media today attributed to Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula in which he attacks H.E. Raila OdInga over alleged attack by the Nasa leader on ANC and Ford Kenya parties.

The statement by Mr. Wetangula purporting to be challenging Hon. Odinga to a presidential contest is ridiculous and laughable. We may not know who will be on the ballot in 2022, but we are sure that in usual form, Wetangula will certainly not be one of those on the ballot. It is the kind of statement expected from cowards and losers, which Wetangula certainly is.

Mr. Wetangula’s statement is in the familiar and tired mode of sinking politicians attacking Mr Odinga as their only way to stay politically afloat. And we have no doubt that Wetangula is a sinking politician.

The entire Luhya nation knows that Wetangula is a non-issue, even in his own county of Bungoma especially after the cowardice he exhibited on the 30th of January 2018. All Kenyans know that it took Mr. Odinga’s support for Wetangula to win the Bungoma Senate seat in 2013 and 2017. In fact, Wetangula was, and remains a non-issue in Western without Mr. Odinga’s backing.

His current situation where he is never heard unless he attacks Mr. Odinga attests to this fact.

It is strange that in the middle of deepening economic crises for the people of Western Kenya, including the collapse of Nzoia and Mumias Sugar Companies, Mudete Tea Factory, Panpaper and others that were the economic mainstay for the people of western and massive scams involving key government operatives who have stolen from farmers, including those in Trans Nzoia through the National Cereals and Produce Board, the youth through the NYS and from Kenyans through the KPLC, Mr Wetangula has remained quiet and finds his voice only against Mr. Odinga.

It confirms that he is one of the self-styled principals of NASA who only survived by hanging onto Mr. Odinga’s coat. Without Mr. Odinga, Wetangula is lost. His position as so-called principal means nothing both to himself, the Luhya nation and the Republic of Kenya.

We remind Senator Wetangula that he is where he is because at some stage, he began to entertain a false notion that he was his own man and began biting the hand that fed him.

The more he continues to bite, the more he will sink.

In the meantime, Wetangula needs to know that under his leadership Ford Kenya has become a diminished good in Western Kenya. The Luhya nation is solidly behind Mr. Odinga by choice and Mr Odinga does not need brokers to reach the Luhya nation.

Mr. Odinga has long built a relationship with the Mulembe Nation for his principled stand on issues of importance to the nation and not by being windy on what matters. Until Mr. Wetangula gets into that league, he will remain inconsequential in Luhyaland and in the Republic of Kenya.

As the new leadership of the Community we reiterate our call for the Luhyia Nation to seek unity of purpose that will see us solve our long standing challenges like poverty and education and shun brokers who want to herd us into one tribal Boma so that they can auction us to the highest bidder.

Signed
Senator Cleophas Malala

BREAKING BLOW: Court Suspends Uhuru’s Appointment Of Mzee Francis Muthaura As KRA Board Chairman

The Employment and Labour Court has stopped the appointments of former head of public service ambassador Francis Muthaura and four others to the KRA Board.

The other four include; Charles Makori Omanga, Mukesh Shah, Leonard Ithau and Susan Mudhune.

Justice Byrum Ongaya issued the order pending the hearing and determination of a suit filed against them.

This comes after activist Okiya Omtatah moved to court seeking orders to stop their appointment to the office tomorrow following the Gazette notice issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta on May 25.

Omtata said,“The president’s decision to handpick and appoint people to public offices is a nullity in law to the extent that it is inconsistent with express provisions of the Constitution of Kenya and statute which require public offices to be filled through open, fair, competitive, and merit-based but inclusive processes of recruiting and appointing persons into offices in the public service. “

BREAKING: Angry Youth Storm Youth Fund Offices To Evict Chairman Ronnie Osumba Over Corruption Allegations

Acrowd of Angry Youth (suspected of those from Kumira kumira movement) stormed the Youth Enterprise Development Fund offices protesting corruption in the fund and demanded exit of Chairman Ronnie Osumba.

Last week, Mr Osumba had called a press conference where he revealed investigations into seven members of staff suspended over alleged irregular loan disbursement were nearly complete.

He further disclosed that the National Treasury was conducting a full audit of the books at the organization to determine if there are other irregularities.

The Fund has in the past been riddled with claims of irregularities in its dealings and financial transactions and some of its former leaders accused of abuse of office.

BREAKING: Raila to meet Uhuru Tomorrow Morning [See Full Details]

President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga will on Wednesday share a platform at the Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East Constituency.

In a move seen as a continuation of national unity and cohesion through the building bridges initiative started by the President and the former Prime Minister, the two leaders are set to preside over the issuance of title deeds to Embakasi East constituents at the famous political ground.

The area MP Babu Owino took to Twitter to announce the function urging all his constituents to turn up in large numbers for the rare occassion.

“INVITATION TO ALL EMBAKASI EAST CONSTITUENTS FOR THE TITLE DEEDS ISSUANCE FUNCTION AT JACARANDA GROUNDS FROM 8AM TOMORROW.

All Embakasi East constituents are invited to the title deeds issuance function which will be presided over by HE @UKenyatta and HE @RailaOdinga,” the MP tweeted.

The function will provide a rare spectacle for Kenyans to witness the two leaders once again together since last year’s divisive elections.

The two former bitter rivals surprised Kenyans when in early March, set aside their political differences and met at Harambee House in what heralded the building bridges initiative aimed at uniting Kenyans and averting further divisions in the country.

President Kenyatta and Odinga again met a month later during the funeral of the late second liberation fighter Kenneth Matiba in Murang’a County.

The two later appointed a team of 14 advisors to steer national dialogue on the building bridges initiative.

Current NYS Scandal Follows Script Of The First One Under Ann Waiguru, ‘STATEHOUSE’ STAGE MANAGING Arrests?

Current NYS scandal follows the script of the past one.

1. Create a media hype around the scandal to arouse public reactions. Why are the details in the media so scanty? Someone is controlling the script. Even a new Kabura has been manufactured with very sensational claims

2. Top officials to claim no money was lost, even wonder how such a large sum could have been lost without collapsing the service. Genuine NYS suppliers have probably collapsed since their bills were never paid. The funny thing being that even if you genuinely supplied NYS you can’t publicly declare so with all the stigma surrounding the institution.

3. Conduct dramatic raids and arrests followed by a show trial to cool public anger. How come the Minister who was in-charge has not yet been arrested? How stupid could the new NYS director general be to have dipped fingers in the cookie jar without covering himself? Do you remember how the former minister in charge of NYS now in manning the health minsitry behaved when the President tried to warn the corrupt when opening a unit in Tenwek Mission Hospital? She laughed off the threat in a manner never before seen in Kenya

4. Suspects are acquitted for lack of evidence or maybe some small fish fried to satiate our anger. As some have asked how come EACC are not involved in all this? Why do they exist seeing that they have no role to play here?

5. Scandal files closed. Public moves on to another scandal. Do we know how much was ever recovered from NYS Season I suspects? What was the purpose of that process?

It is obvious that NYS is a clearing house for election finances. Anyone who takes the so called war on graft/grand theft seriously should have his head examined. These guys know that in a few days time the story will be dead thanks to our collective 2KB memory.

Why I Am Not Angry With Uhuru Over Massive Looting In All Sectors And The PR Arrests This Week

I used to be angry at these people.

Then I realized anger is bad for my heart and I’ll die young while these guys looting are having a ball. I asked myself why I was the one choosing to let anger eat me up while those who were bad for my heart health were not only enjoying public largesse and but were living long as a result.

I refuse to lay down my life for a country that isn’t worth dying for. That’s why I choose to have fun with these reports of billions being siphoned out of the public pot. Let those people loot this country to its bare bones. And if they want to loot the bones too, let them crush the bones and export them to Jersey Island as dog food. Once they’re done and their appetite is still on, they can as well grab our wives and loot them too.

I’m not being sarcastic. Let those who elected this government massage their skunk in peace. I, on my part, I’m done with saying things on corruption. Those who feel they want to continue can keep doing so. I love my health and I also want to live long just like you all. You gave us this government and I’ve made peace with that. Thank you so much, now if you would let me go pick those ripe guavas in my grandmother’s orchard, I’ll be very grateful.

That’s all.

Corruption Scandals Are A Ploy To Finish DP Ruto And Cleanse Uhuru – Dr David Ndii Confirms

Economic strategist and key NASA point-man David Ndii weighed in on the corruption scandals that have rocked the country; NYS, NCPB, Kenya Power and Kenya Pipeline.

Ndii, while speaking to KTN on Sunday said that the corruption revelations are part of a sinister plan to ‘finish’ Deputy President William Ruto politically.

The economist said that the corruption scandals are a well thought-out plan by a few individuals in order to scuttle his 2022 presidential bid.

“It’s like in the Bible where Jesus cast out demons from people and put them in pigs and then the pigs went over a cliff. So if you want to sanitise Uhuru Kenyatta, you have to cast out the demon of corruption (that occurred) over the first four years which he presided over and put it somewhere.

“The convenient place to put this is in William Ruto and his patronage network. So what you are seeing is an exercise of self-preservation and I think it is the wrong way to go about it,” he told KTN News.

Also part of the panel was government spokesperson, Erick Kiraithe refuted Ndii’s claims saying that ‘deputy president is part and parcel of the efforts to fight corruption in Kenya.’

“This is not a political game. It is about accounting for public money. Seeming to ride a dead political horse over the bitterness of a lost election for far too long is beside the point,” Kiraithe said.

The DP sent a warning to all those involved in the aforementioned scandals saying that they will all ‘carry their own cross.’

“The corrupt should not run to their communities or political parties for protection. We will not sacrifice the progress of Kenya to satisfy the greed of few individuals. This time around they will not get off the hook. They will be held accountable,” the DP said.

Dear Raila, Sorry To Interrupt You While ‘Eating’, ANC and Ford Kenya Merger Has Nothing To Do With Luyha Tribe.

BY ERIC WAFUKHO

They say it is not good manners to be responding to elders when they speak but I thought a statement attributed to Hon Raila Odinga that the merger of ANC and Ford Kenya is tribal needed a response to help set the record straight.

#1. ANC and Ford Kenya are National Parties and not Tribal Outfits as alleged by Hon Raila.
A close check shows that ANC and FK have their membership and elected leaders from many parts of the country and it would be inaccurate at best and mischievous at worst to label them as tribal outfits.

While ANC got elected MCAs in Tana River , Marsabit , Nandi counties, ODM had none in these counties. In Lamu, ANC has more elected MCAs than ODM . Ford Kenya also returns that show a national outlook in elected leadership at grassroots level covering various parts of the country.

What would perhaps worry an ODM member like Hon Raila would be the fact that Western Kenya seems to be defining her own political journey away from ODM. A close check in Western Kenya shows that both ANC and FK gained great ground over other parties and that if this trend continues, the region is likely to be firmly an ANC and FK affair. Having a political stronghold does not constitute ethnic profiling. So when did these parties become tribal outfits? Both ANC and Ford Kenya came together in NASA and supported Hon Raila in his presidential quest. Was that a tribal card? Or are they becoming tribal simply because they have chosen to chart their own political journey?

#2. Advocating for unity of Western Kenya does not amount to Ethnic Politics
What Raila might not know, is that there is ac conversation going on in Western to help address the challenges of that region and to review leadership architecture and partnerships that move that region forward. ANC and FK are exploring how to accelerate the Western Region Investment Program (WEREP) which Musalia had helped formulate together with professionals.

Western is a region that does not need a lecture on unity in diversity. That region has virtually all communities of Kenya and it is seeking its centre of gravity in national politics and get it will. Unity of the whole has never been compromised simply because of units uniting. If Hon Raila is indeed committed to uniting Kenya, then he would have been the least to throw jabs at Western Kenya for seeking their unity.

#3. Ethnic Politics is not bad if it benefits the People
What do people really mean by ethnic politics anyway? Is there such a thing as ethnic politics in Kenya? Unless it means riding on the back of a community or people to get ahead and then jettison them midstream like extra luggage.

Communities and political parties come together under coalition agreement in the hope that those they give the mantle would have the character to honour their word. As such, communities make great sacrifice including voting for the candidates offered on the political party of the flag bearer as happened in NASA coalition. At no point do these communities think that their sons and daughters would be vilified as happened to Hon Wetangula.

Since it seems ethnic politics is important, then I am sure Hon Wetangula will work with his brother Musalia from Western to ensure that their numbers count for something. A handshake between Musalia and Wetangula is also a handshake and if it unites the region, parties and Kenya, then it also requires the right optics. My message to our doyen of Kenyan politics, Hon Raila Odinga is, sit back and watch Real Madrid take this cup from Liverpool but do not blame the Keeper.

HERE Is Open Letter To The President That Went Viral, Caught Uhuru Pants Down, A Must Read

Dear Mr. President

Like a beautiful woman swamped by suitors, many crave for your attention every minute. While some have better and more profound ways of catching your ear, I can only but use social media.

I will ignore that you signed a bill attempting to gag me in this.

As I scribble this letter, I am seated in my abode; humble by every definition, stirring a cup of strong tea. It is not my beverage of preference but the month is tight and milk is luxury.

The tea is hot and as I sip it, it makes me stutter and incoherent like our economy under your tenure.

Maybe if I had a piece of cake to bite as an escort…Then I am reminded that the National cake has been munched by a few political elites and bourgeoisie leaving the rest of us to sip hot strong tea.

These however are struggles a Prince who owns the biggest dairy firm in the region and who owned land at age seven, wait- owns half of the Country would not relate to.
Oh, pardon my manners.

My name is Scophine Otieno; I am a youth in this Country. I did not vote for you in 2013 because like many young people, I voted along tribal lines. I am wiser now sir. I did not vote for you last year either and this time I wasn’t suffering from mtu wetu syndrome. The cries and screams and war like chants of tano tena did not stir me hard enough to earn my vote, it was your incompetent first tenure that saw you lose my vote.

I thought of how you and your cronies gang raped the economy, leaving it in ICU clinging for dear life and how that consequently put a huge burden on me as a young person in this country. The National Fabric was more tattered that the biblical Jeremiah’s loin’s cloth he was told to hide under the rock in River Euphrates. Not even your new found camaraderie with your once nemesis has been able to repair this fabric. Aren’t both of you reading from different scripts now?

Still, hear me out because either by popular vote or computer abracadabra, you are on your second tenure as My President.

I sip my tea as I prepare to go to work. I have no tangible job really, I hustle. Did you not promise us one million jobs Sir?

A UN report recently indicated that Kenya’s rate of unemployment is now equal to those in neighboring countries of Ethiopia and Rwanda COMBINED -Kenya’s youth unemployment is the leading one in the eastern Africa region

While you were reeling under the after effects of potent waters, your pal Kagame is drawing tourist and investors to his Country which in 1994 was a war zone by partnering with Arsenal. Rwanda does not have a more robust tourism sector than Kenya. Do you know how many employment opportunities this would have translated into if it was Kenya that had such a deal? Oh, the ‘girl’ in charge of that docket is busy applying gel on his curly hair and makeup. Last week, he (Kagame) was in France meeting with over 60 technology investors. You on the other hand globe trot either to watch Formula one or borrow billions which then disappear into the bellies of a few.

I will leave the comparison at that point because as Theodore Roosevelt averred, comparison is the thief of joy-not like I have any joy left in me really.

I am indignant and miffed. Many of us are.

We are not ALL asking for employment. Some of us can thrive off our talents but how is that tenable when the self absorbed, homophobic man of frugal understanding with a worm looking like mustache heading KFCB is busy bullying us on social media and killing creativity for those of us blessed in Art?

And he is defended by that Statehouse bot who used to steal perfumes before you cleaned his ass and made him Digital bla bla. Nah, scratch that, he was rewarded for identifying ICC witnesses who were later executed. Does it mean Statehouse has endorsed the licenses we are forced to pay to put content on YouTube?

Sir, we can barely pay bills while your nephew and children can hire a whole VIP tent to watch Rick Ross yet we must pay for YouTube!

What’s this obsession of yours with octogenarians and nonagenarians? Of what Value is Muthaura at the helm of KRA, or the toothless ex priest as EACC boss?

The only ‘youth’ in your cabinet is a stark illiterate whose portfolio is poor background, ex party goon and a soul so arrogant even the devil cows at his sight.

We cannot get 30% tenders because they are given to girlfriends, relatives, booty lickers and cronies who must meet the basic threshold of being politically and ethnically correct.

As we speak Sir, EVERY youth focused programme today is either immersed in corruption, management woes or not funded.

The National Youth Council a statutory organ pursuant to the Kenya National Youth Act of 2009 as an advisory, research and policy institution on youth affairs has been rendered moribund only surfacing to speak for politicians when their throats are greased.

The National Youth Service! I will not go there.

I am a self sponsored student trying to earn a certificate in an innovation starved, antiquated education system that churns less creators, inventors, problem solvers, change makers, critical thinkers, entrepreneurs but instead has reduced MBA graduates to placards holders begging for jobs from passing motorists and jostling for mere internships in supermarkets.

But how would you feel the pangs of this when you attended University abroad hosting parties and imbibing.

Mr. President, you have failed the youth of this Country so badly.

You know Sir, for once the youth in this Country are speaking in one voice against these wanton plunder. This is a very dangerous sign Sir- At its best an up rise, at its worst a revolution might be in the offing.

You speak of a legacy? Do something. Oh but then I remember…

Sasa nataka ufanye nini?

(Those who will go for the demos, mnipelekee haka ka barua, I am not fit enough to dodge bullets owada. Plus sioni nikipewa ruhusa job.)

HOW President WILLIAM RUTO Will Tackle Poverty- Part 1

By Albert Nyakundi Amenya aka The Banana Peddler – Director Of Communications, Office Of The President

Fellow compatriots, as I always tell you, our treasury has been robbed to near-zero. This nation is in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). There is no sign of life in this country anymore. Should we carry on like this, I see bows and arrows everywhere.

As I write this, there’s enough reason, therefore, to fear that, if we carry on with this looting into another round of elections, Kenya won’t survive the attack. The stakes have become too high. Everyone wants to seek a political office because it is the only sanctuary left in these days of insecurity terrorist activities, kidnapping and other violent crimes. Only those in government do not pay for security from their pockets. They are guarded by the police as they loot public funds. It is an open secret that life outside the government is hell.

Time is running out for a backward nation like Kenya to come to its senses or risk deeper, unending suffering and perpetual enslavement. But fellow Kenyans, God has remembered us. He has sent us a Moses that will get us out of Egypt and help lift our country out of the poverty hole. That man is H.E. William Samoei Arap Ruto.

We all know that Ruto is a no nonsense fearless man. He is a man of impeccable character and royal courage. He is not a man who can be cowed and intimidated anyhow. Unlike President Kenyatta, Bill will not spare any big thief that loots public funds without compunction. He will launch war on corruption and indiscipline immediately and send them to prison. The moment he takes oath of office, is the day we will bury the shackles of perpetual slavery. That is the day the crab fingers of looters will be broken and permanently paralyzed.

When President Ruto takes over at the helm as the 5th President of this great nation, economic oppression and domination will be eradicated for good. For the cartels, he will raise a standard against them with his rich pedigree of integrity. After all, “An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure” They will not be given a chance to advance their devilish acts. President Ruto will not go to State House by fraud. The love of the great and sophisticated people of Kenya for him will propel him there.

When President Ruto takes office, he will ensure that the developed world does not overwhelm us with new technological wonders, but by buying our own products. His government will remove all obstacles on their way of doing business to enable them establish power plants here at reasonable rates. As a result, we will export our beans, flowers, cassava flour, groundnuts, quality coffee and tea, among hundreds of other products to America, Europe and Asia. President Ruto will only allow the white man to come with the machinery for processing our rotting mangoes, pawpaw and tomato.

In Ruto government, no human being will be allowed to import a single grain of wheat or rice; we will cultivate them here. Expensive jewelry, sugar, ethanol, toothpicks, matchboxes and other useless items will be contraband. Anti fraud agencies and the Director of Public Prosecution will be given all the support, power and freedom it needs to enable it tackle the rich thieves who evade tax. Under the watch of President Ruto, the country will no longer be the haven of drug barons, fraudsters, internet scammers, paedophiles, rapists, gays and other criminals.

We ordinary citizens have been toughened by the hard times in the past 6 years. We must not give up nevertheless. Though help doesen’t seem forthcoming from the Uhuru administration, there are practical steps the incoming government will take to eradicate poverty and make people lead better lives. The Ruto administration will advise people to stick to the old lesson. Citizens will be edified to cut their coat according to their cloth. It means they should learn to live within their income: live in houses they can afford to pay for, birth fewer children, drive cars they can maintain stress, travel when they need and not want, send their children to good schools they can afford, drink smart and eat smart.

There is no doubt that this government has reached the end of its tether in terms of job creation. The incoming government will ensure the situation does not worsen. Unlike the Uhuru administration, the Ruto administration will not establish or approve schools that little or no value. It will not hire employees that do little or no work but take home fat salaries at the end of the month. The Ruto administration will channel resources and energy to jumpstart institutes that teach our youth skills. That way, our young men and women will learn skills that will enable them set up work stations and empower themselves. That way, they will stop glorifying and worshipping the criminals that have aggrandized public money.

Fellow Kenyans, I know these are annoying times for almost everyone. Our well groomed young women remain unmarried because our well groomed young men are not ready to marry them yet because of poverty. Learned young men have turned thugs for crooked politicians. Due to lack of employment, others have become car washers and helpers at construction sites (I met one this morning). The irony is that in this country, needs keep increasing just as incomes keep dwindling.

The leadership of President Ruto no crooked politician will misuse any youth because all of them will be occupied. Under President Ruto watch, no university will be allowed to produce unemployable graduate. No more universities will be created until the existing ones are made to become what they ought to be.

WHY The Youthful Evans GOR SEME LANG’O Must Rise Up And Seek City GOVERNORSHIP

By Sandra Cherop

No gainsaying, Sonko is insanely disorganized, dangerously disorderly and operates like a magician-apprentice strenuously pulling an “abracadabra” on complex city matters that merit statecraft and schooled managerial efficacy. Sonko is evidently suffering from chronic mediocrity that has no cure.

For ten months Sonko has been around, has done everything that can be done but the situation degenerates from bad to worse. He is clueless and incapacitated by default.

To compensate for his visionless-ness, Sonko has retired into his favorite pastime of drama to stoke emotions. He is busy fighting imaginary (and real) external enemies, forgetting his own house is on fire, burning, as his intrusive friends hold the administration hostage in a typical criminal capture of Sicilian Mafias. Low worker morale, no medicine in clinics, scattered garbage all over, hoodlums running amok terrorizing his critics in broad daylight to mention but a few.

Curiously, even as a governor, he is still distributing water through his Sonko Rescue Team in the estates, as his wife collects garbage: When will he ever realize he is the Governor and not aspiring governor?

Granted, Sonko is a closed file. But is the list of the leading gladiators any better?

EVANS KIDERO

A narrow-minded good-for-nothing kleptocrat whom to best describe, I’ll borrow President Obasanjo’s description of Goodluck Johnathan’s government “inept and abysmal failure”. Kidero is morally corrupt, his body language fetes corruption, and his administration was a notorious den of unarmed robbers. The criminals he appointed are today in court facing serious crimes of economic genocide. Bringing such a crook to run Nairobi is akin to sending a goat to guard a cassava plantation.

MIGUNA MIGNA
This tempestuous career pessimist lacks emotional intelligence. He is the educated version of Mike Sonko who would never divorce his old-fashioned-uncouth rigid approach to issues. This rabble-rouser belongs to the civil society from where his untapped emotional blackmail and shenanigans would be effective as an integral component of whistle blowing. He also lacks managerial skills having no single record of running a public office or a successful private sector. He is too idealist with utopian ideas that would best be left for academic discussions. Being a broke political urchin, Miguna would easily be compromised by the monies flouted around by cartels robbing the city its glory that would shut his mouth for good. He is a very poor listener who also thinks he is God’s greatest gift to humanity, simply call him alpha NARCISCIST. To refer to this clown is a “front runner” is a single greatest act of charity. He is simply full of “sound and fury, signifying nothing”.

PETER KENNETH
This is a tactless journeyman, a political wayfarer, a powerdrunk armed with very little or misplaced ambition. Peter contested for presidency; he lowered his appetite for a governor. In that trajectory, he might just go back to his Gatanga parliamentary seat or speaker of Murang’a County before settling for an MCA of his village.

This leaves the race open. Nairobi needs freshness. Nairobi needs a candidate out of the current crop of politicians to streamline it and make the sunshine city great.

Enters GOR SEME LANG’O

This soft spoken publicity shy business magnate is man of definite purpose, a visionary per excellence; leader extra ordinary.
A brilliant mind with a formidable oratory skill; a deep thinker who is given to quick wit, Gor’s story is that of hope, focus and uncommon determination to succeed against all odds; a child of destiny who rose from nothing to build one of the most successful empires in Oil and Gas sector in this region.
To where Gor has risen, his doggedness and strong convictions will never allow him to be compromised in any collective struggle including governance!
Gor brings freshness, youthful dynamism, and unbending integrity but importantly, the MBA graduate brings his rich diplomatic persona to management of city affairs. This is useful asset in creatively juggling a balance between statehouse, central government and city hall.
Not known to pick unnecessary fights, kerfuffle and quarrels, this no nonsense administrator has the political shrewdness needed to propel the city of the sun to astronomic levels.
Unlike other leaders surrounded by scoundrels and fawning flower girls and altar boys, Gor is often surrounded by policy czars, scholars, political activists and renowned business moguls who would easily troop Nairobi to create the much needed jobs through Foreign Direct Investments.
Gor is God-fearing, acknowledged giver, a philanthropist who has used his endowments to touch humanity in various endeavors.
Even as his intimidating political profile and highly expansive political network continue to give his opponents sleepless nights, permit me to remind that Gor is known in Whitehouse and Kremlin. He is simply bold and fearless.
But it is his constant penchant and quest for new ideas that amaze me. His administrative acumen is matchless. As Governor of Nairobi, Gor will practically lay a foundation for the rapid transformation of Nairobi from a metropolitan county to a model mega city in Africa
In challenging him to rise up, allow me to borrow great words from Shakespeare Twelfth Night “Do not be afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ’em.

SIX REASONS Why Raila Must NOT KEEP QUIET Over Raging Corruption Scandals In Uhuru Regime

By Cyprian Nyamwamu

…………….But now there are six problems with the latest call on Baba to ling’ thii (to keep quiet kabisa) as theft heists and scandals get exposed and theft and looting normalized through Bunge committees chaired by ODM MPs, who are Luo as well.

The First problem is that enhanced corruption hurts Luos and Baba supporters more than it hurts Kikuyus and Kales. The accounts receiving corruption money are Kikuyu/GEMA and Kalenjin elite owned in ninety percent of the time. These two ethnic communities will not suffer as much harm as the Baba supporters from corruption. Let’s be plain.

Secondly, Luos are tax payers. Their money is being stolen together with that of all the others. Just that the thieves are from the other ethnic communities in power so the current chorus of “we will not die others” may sound attractive but its sadly the case of cutting your nose to spite your nemeses.

Thirdly, by telling Uhuruto supporters that “you voted for them , now eat your nyanjes”, the Baba court jesters are conceding without knowing that Baba actually lost to Uhuruto votewise. I thought 70% of Kenyans did not vote for Uhuruto? I thought NASA said the server says majority of voters on 8/8 voted for Baba? If the minority voted for Uhuruto , why concede government to a clique that rigged elections saying that we told you they are thieves but you elected them? Did Raila lose the 8/8 election to Uhuruto and the server has confirmed this hence the resignation to ” you voted for them, now suffer the consequences?”. So who are these who voted for Uhuruto and not NASA? So NASA actually lost? I thought the election was rigged? Was the Vifaranga vya komputa assertion false?

Fourthly, is Raila a Luo leader? Baba ling’ thii is a call from Luos to their leader to pull the Luo soldiers out of the war with a corrupt illegitimate regime , supposedly to ensure the handshake holds. So who is going to command the rest of the non-Luo Baba base once their leader has quit the struggle for justice, ACCOUNTABILITY and good governance.

Fifth problem is that this theory of “let them steal and cripple Kenya so that Kikuyus and Kalenjins rise against their Muthamakis” is actually disingineous and foolish. No one is going to rise up against their ethnic Supremo on account of the fact that he has stolen too much. Revolution come an elite that is left out of the system organizing and offering an alternative agenda. Which Kalenjins or Kikuyu elite are going to go to the base to mobilize against their Supremos? Peasants will never rise against their elite. Expecting the Kalenjins farmers whose fertilizer has been traded off into private accounts is being naive. Our political science professor Anyang’ is the one who told us that in Africa the state is a recent phenomenon which alien and seen by Africans as an animal to hunted and eaten. Hence the “our time to eat” mentality. So if your sons and daughters are eating the mali ya umma ..the animal called the state and getting rich on behalf the community what is wrong? To imagine that the theft will lead to ethnic uprising is actually handing over the money and the power straight to Ruto before 2022. Raila through the handshake will be the facilitator of the death of the opposition’s oversight role, the death of his base, access by Ruto to his bases .. See what is already happening in Kisii and Coast which have been Raila’s bedrock base using the stolen money to bribe politicians. This will be recorded in history very dimly of Raila.

Finally You see we never left Kenya’s struggles to Kalenjins alone when Moi was President, looting and maiming Kenya. We pushed and pushed together. Yes the Luo and Kikuyu elite led that struggle for sure but all else were in it together. Why would we leave the struggle to Kikuyus and Kales now? Raila could be saying that he has handed over the leadership of the struggle without saying to whom. But it is false to say that “because we the Luos have paid the highest price, we will quit without a reward for our price, because the rest of the Kenyans did not help us in stopping the rigging”.. Then why did you handshake when the whole country which was your base had renewed their faith in your leadership, thrown out Kalonzo-Mudavadi-Wetangula as sellouts and prepared to push Uhuru out even the economy was to shut..?

My leader Raila Odinga is being misadvised by opportunistic politicians from Luo Nyanza and this misadvise will surely destroy Railas legacy. Let me seek an appointment to share with him on this. Nyasaye Jachwech gik duto, Gwedh thurwa ni kod pinywa, Romruok obed okumba gi jageng’. Med wa Kwe wakwai Nyasaye Nyakalaga.

Crucial Information About Case Of 24Year Old Woman Who Had Sex With 17Year Boy, Jailed for 15 Years

MY VIEWS ON THE 15 YEARS IMPRISONMENT SENTENCE ON JOSEPHINE KHASOYA WANDERA FOR DEFILING THE 16 YEAR OLD MINOR
By JV Owiti
Having finally had the opportunity and the benefit of going through the decision of the learned Trial Court in Kisumu CMCR 4/2017 – Republic vs. Josephine Khasoya Wandera, I hereby reiterate with certainty my earlier views on the same in various other platforms as follows:

PLEA OF NOT GUILTY

She did not plead guilty to the charges. The matter went through trial and those were her words in defence. The issue of a plea being un/equivocal does not therefore arise.

CONVICTION:

The conviction was safe and may not be successfully challenged on appeal. The learned magistrate perfectly comprehended and appreciated the facts of the case and correctly and or properly applied the law to the said facts.

DEFENCE

The accused person was understood to raise the defence of having believed that the victim was a minor. This defence is availed under section 8(5) of the Sexual Offences Act, No. 3 of 2006 (hereinafter referred to as the SoA).

The trial court again appreciated and considered the said defence under section 8(5) of the SoA. However, and unfortunately so, the accused person, as the Court correctly noted, failed to demonstrate any steps she may have to ascertain that the victim was an adult as is the requirement of the law under section 8(6) of the SoA.

SENTENCE

It is however my view that the sentence meted out against the convict was excessively too harsh in the circumstances and can be tampered with on appeal. This is one matter that a non-custodial sentence should have been meted out.

CONSTITUTIONAL REFERENDUM Is A Must Before 2022

By Ogunyo Thiring’inyi

We need a radical change. The way we elect the Head of State is the problem. Can we try the American electoral college system using our 47 counties as the benchmark or we henceforth revert to parliamentary system as envisaged in the Bomas draft. Whoever says there is no time for constitutional changes/referendum is playing dangerous politics may be intentionally.

If close to 37 minority communities in Kenya have no chance of ever ascending to presidency or national leadership, no one ought to play politics around this debate. Can we be a constitutional democracy when our electoral system only yields disproportionate national representation while politics remains ethnically based, producing presidents turning office into a place for entrenching tribal hegemonic tendencies contrary to the law?. Do we deserve that ?.

ELECTORAL COLLEGE

We have 43 ethnic communities spread in 47 counties, all with democratic right to an all-inclusive national leadership. In America, the 50 states selects a president and not the people. The only highest ranking US official elected by people’s direct popular vote are State Governors. In Kenya, the 47 counties can do. Each can be entitled to a vote or two to determine who ultimately becomes the president and not tyranny of votes from populous communities.

REASONS FOR COLLEGE SYSTEM..

American founding fathers had BASIC reasons why its dangerous to put election of a President ONLY in the hands of the people:

–One, a popular election of a Head of State is radically vicious. There is bound to be ignorance of a particular population/people that they may put into power a “dangerous character” acting in concert by deluding them. (this could have saved us from ICC duo in 2013.)

–Two, the size and extent of America renders direct presidential election impossible. People have no requisite capacity to know the “real characters” of the candidates or judge their respective pretensions correctly. (this happens in Kenya…)

–and Three, many people are generally not informed and would be mislead or be corrupted to vote for bad characters eg thieves, murderers, vengeful ones…(in Kenya we vote on the basis of who gives what..)

NB: American founding fathers saw it dangerous that placing that ultimate elective power into a “single set of human hands” was politically naive and dangerous for a great nation. That “tyranny of majority” that is sinking Kenya today was rejected in America in the year 1787. They created Electoral College System to insulate elections of a Head of State from the whims of ethnicity or the tyranny of popular vote..

MY POINT;

–We need a system that promotes inclusiveness and adopts the current global trend of shifting away from political plurality to PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION.

— We need to debunk the perception that certain ethnic communities have no chance of producing a national leader because of their small numbers as compared to large communities.

Omiyo necessary constitutional amendments and referendum are very necessary but waters are muddled and politicised for selfish ambitions.

Are we begging anyone for “handshake”?

By Ogunyo Thiring’inyi

If the President has rejected constitutional changes, then we need no “truce”. Why should that handshake committee even continue sitting without goodwill from the other side?.Let it be disbanded ASP!.

Raila has the requisite goodwill. He even has the requisite power and an overwhelming support to recall the “handshake” so that things goes back to where they belong. Raila’s side will loose nothing!. Remember Rao agreed to meet Uhuru because a “situation” was breeding national instability due to continuous feelings of national exclusion since independence.Exclusion of 41plus ethnic communities and other presidential candidates from mainstream political institutions every election cycle has created deep negative feelings of exclusionism and caused a national disharmony never contemplated. This is what makes Kenya ungovernable!.

Unsuccessful presidential candidates are rigged out blatantly in every election cycle that they remain retaining very large constituency of discontented and disenfranchised supporters running into millions…people who feels excluded and unrepresented…!!!

Its the main reason why we were pushing for a look at the 2010 constitution to lead to necessary and meaningful changes. The 2010 document has consistently faced various onslaughts from the executive and parliament in the last few years that has wakened its spirit. Some basic laws initially meant to raise the bar in the management of public resources and expansion of civil liberties have been tampered with…

Raila Odinga was in the course genuinely, for good purpose and due to public interest.

If its “finally laid bare” that cartels and elites trumped yet again forcing the president to reject Raila’s goodwill, or if the deep seated interests that always seeks to retain the status-quo, reverse the gains made, manipulate the content and direction the constitution or change the pace of reform agenda have finally won against Raila’s good intentions, then Raila has no options left. Let him withdrew the “handshake”. We are not begging anyone!. IWAKE!
