Nyagarama drives the last nail in his coffin, uses 500 cops to disrupt meeting of youth who rejected his Sh5m bribe

Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama signed his political epitaph on Sunday 27 when he sought services of 500 heavily armed policemen to disrupt the much awaited Nyamira Youth Summit.

The going got tough for the governor after his attempt to bribe summit organizers with sh5m hit a snag, forcing him to apply force on the unarmed youth.

Sources have revealed that the Governor expended close to sh10million to halt a summit that was organized by only sh100k. Initially, the governor had hoodwinked the youth that he was attending the summit, only to turn violent against them after his dirty advances were rejected.

Among the key agendas in the summit was to release an opinion poll on Nyagarama’s performance as governor and Nyamira County in general.

The Governor who is commonly known for renovating an hospital gate with a staggering sh7.8 million developed a negative premonition that the opinion poll could not augur well with him, especially with his ill health.

The governor resolved to summon the organizers among them award winning journalist Nyambega Gisesa to his home and offered them sh5million bribe to stop the summit upon which they turned down the offer.

Eight months ago, the chief organizer of the summit Nyambega Gisesa determinedly withdrew from all political activities,  to fight corruption and Impunity in Nyamira County.
