Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has found a new ploy of sticking it in the face of President Uhuru who has is to visit Malindi town today.
The Governor and local ODM leadership have erected huge ODM/CORD billboards in Malindi town just hours before President Uhuru arrives in the town in what sources say is a campaign event clothed as fundraising. Malindi by election is a month away and Jubilee is keen to clinch the seat.
Coast governors have given President Uhuru a hard time despite the month long stay with Mombasa’s Ali Hassan Joho publicly disagreeing with him on Waitiki land allocation to squatters.
President Uhuru has been reduced to re-launching projects already launched by the county governments some of which are as mundane as opening water taps.
